I have been away from God for far too long. I have also called myself a Christian but I didn't walk the walk. There was a point in my life where I felt horrible and felt so hypocritical. But Christ is my savior and he forgives anyone that asks for his forgiveness. We cannot know the father without going through the son first. And I do believe that someone that is broken and feeling unloved can find love and happiness through Christ. Our generation will not fall.

I think anybody that takes religion as serious as this is mentally unstable. The biggest crime is that religious fundamentalists view this as normal behavior when this poor girl needs help.

You do not have to be dunked to go to heaven so if someone was not baptized in water and they are deceased now does not mean they are in hell but they have not been baptized in water but i tell you they were born of water and if they accepted christ Jesus as there savior they now have access if not they well be judged by God.
So i state what i believe since you shared i believe baptism is witnesing you love christ Jesus and have accepted him to the world as your savior thats all does not mean you have now salvation from doing so. It's this exact thing that gets me so angry about religion. There are countless books discussing the psychology behind peer pressure and the lengths people will go through to push you back into their fold because you threaten them with your realization that their beliefs are nonsense. I highly recommend continuing your education and to read EVERYTHING you can get your hands on. There is no proof of anything when it comes to religion. Be rational and think for yourself.
I am using my head. I wasn't peer pressured- if I had been, I would have stood up when every one of my friends did. But I didn't, because I wanted to do it for God and not for others. And now I've "stood up" in front of thousands of people and declared my faith- not because I've been brainwashed like a child, but because God has shown be the truth. I hope one day you will open your mind and at least listent to what God has to tell you...

I'm Catholic, or at least, I'm supposed to be. I haven't been to church since I was eight, and I'm now fourteen. I used to feel extremely out of place with the people in my area, because I can bet you almost 90% of them are hardcore Christians, which I am not. In the past year, I've just realized some things. No offense to any Christians out there, but I don't see the purpose in practicing a religion and preaching the word of God. The Bible is no better than a notorious, well-known novel.
It was written by many men who have no idea about the creation of Earth, or if a God even exists. It's fiction, in my opinion. In Christianity, most of the sub-religions are practicing the same beliefs. As for me, I believe in a God. He's only here to help, though. I believe everything can be explained by nature or science. So that's my opinion on religion.

I think not being able to believe in a supernatural being that watches over you probably makes you more introspective as you lack that crutch. I have always felt as though I must plot my own way in the world and be responsible to myself. That's how I was raised, there is no God to take care of things for me. I must do or not do for myself. actually i partly agree with you. Everyone in the world does have to be responsible for yourself and your actions. Though it probably sound crazy, juivinile, and naive to you. i'm responsible to me and God. I'm nothing without God He died for me on the cross and i owe my life to Him for that. I believe that we lived in heaven before we came down to earth. And that's where we will go again if we believe Christ is our Saviour and live for Him. have you ever tried other religions?

I have been away from God for far too long. I have also called myself a Christian but I didn't walk the walk. There was a point in my life where I felt horrible and felt so hypocritical. But Christ is my savior and he forgives anyone that asks for his forgiveness. We cannot know the father without going through the son first. And I do believe that someone that is broken and feeling unloved can find love and happiness through Christ. Our generation will not fall.

It's this exact thing that gets me so angry about religion. There are countless books discussing the psychology behind peer pressure and the lengths people will go through to push you back into their fold because you threaten them with your realization that their beliefs are nonsense. I highly recommend continuing your education and to read EVERYTHING you can get your hands on. There is no proof of anything when it comes to religion. Be rational and think for yourself.

I am using my head. I wasn't peer pressured- if I had been, I would have stood up when every one of my friends did. But I didn't, because I wanted to do it for God and not for others. And now I've "stood up" in front of thousands of people and declared my faith- not because I've been brainwashed like a child, but because God has shown be the truth. I hope one day you will open your mind and at least listent to what God has to tell you...

When you grow up, it will all become apparent. For now, simply start asking questions if you feel your god is real... then you should be able to query him and demand truth, factual evidence and logic in His support.

I'm 16 now, and though I understand that I am incredibly young, I am quite old enough to chose what to believe. I have seen God, and even though it is so, so hard to do in high school, I am trying my best to live for Him every day. I haven't been brainwashed. I've just realized that I'm living for something greater than myself, and I have been humbled.

Good for you! I think it's fantastic that you can make such a huge descision for yourself. And if it works for you, all the more power to ya. It really mustn't be easy at all for a teenager these days being in highschool. Peer pressure for drugs, sex, alcohol, to be cool... all that crap, it's really great that you want to live for a higher purpose... weather it be for yourself, God, whatever. i believe in God but i do not follow the Bible exactly because I believe it was made by man and has holes in it. also i dont go to church because where i live 90% of the people that go there are Hippocrates because they think they can avoid hell by simply going to church. =/

So how did this world start? Some "guy" was just -there- for no reason and said I AM GOING TO MAKE A VAST INFINITE UNIVERSE out of nothing. Trust me when you take evolution vs creationism evolution has more EVIDENCE which is what i go by, sure if "god" would actually talk to us im sure id be kissing hes ass, But to follow SO blindly without any proof beside books and things inside the book... its just not realistic.

i have heard of every evolution theory. don't think i'm like every other christian. completly clueless as to evolution and every other belief or lack their of. i know all about the world. i'm not stupid or ignorant. i've heard of the big bang theory. that my friend is irrational. everything coming from nothing? all of sudden stuff happened? and the sun just knows to rise in the morning? and set at night? that's implausible. i know other religions and ideas. i just personally choose this one.

I'm Catholic, or at least, I'm supposed to be. I haven't been to church since I was eight, and I'm now fourteen. I used to feel extremely out of place with the people in my area, because I can bet you almost 90% of them are hardcore Christians, which I am not. In the past year, I've just realized some things. No offense to any Christians out there, but I don't see the purpose in practicing a religion and preaching the word of God. The Bible is no better than a notorious, well-known novel.

It was written by many men who have no idea about the creation of Earth, or if a God even exists. It's fiction, in my opinion. In Christianity, most of the sub-religions are practicing the same beliefs. As for me, I believe in a God. He's only here to help, though. I believe everything can be explained by nature or science. So that's my opinion on religion.

Absolutely nothing about Christians scares me. Not their Hell, Not their Zombie God, Not their irrational belief, Nothing. Why would I be afraid of a fairy tale? Mind control consists of breaking the persons resistance down. (witness this disgusting video). Then indoctrination through group manipulation, including pressure to conform and rewards for such. Correctly preformed it will leave a child emotionally dependent on the group for life. That's what Christian Camps are designed to do.

Why don't we ask the good 74 year old reverend in Ark. who just got arrested for marrying several willing underage girls. Guilt coupled with emotional dependence stifles independent thought. I hope this young lady is never abused, but she is under a powerful delusion and open to manipulation in the name of the LORD! And I wish you happiness and I hope you recover from what I can only see as an addiction. You know I do not speak out of spite towards you, I was born and raised atheist and I am very concerned for this talented young lady that makes me laugh on YouTube. I have seen 1st hand the dramatic transformations of neighbor kids returning from camps. Normal kids suddenly trying to be serious know it all adults, turning into guilty sneaks and withdrawing from life long friends. It's revolts me.

I think that most likely the kids your seeing coming back from camp aren't trying to be know it alls or hurt friends. They are living out their faith. please distinct the use of the word "kids" because if they are teenagers that makes my answer the same. kids...well not so much. What do you rely on? just wondering exactly what you believe. Do you rely on yourself...friends? where do you think your going to go after you die? nowhere? heaven? hell? reincarnation? I think not being able to believe in a supernatural being that watches over you probably makes you more introspective as you lack that crutch. I have always felt as though I must plot my own way in the world and be responsible to myself. That's how I was raised, there is no God to take care of things for me. I must do or not do for myself. I hope that makes sense to you. Before we where born we did not exist, no memories, no pain, just void, someday we will cease to exist, it will be the same.

actually i partly agree with you. Everyone in the world does have to be responsible for yourself and your actions. Though it probably sound crazy, juivinile, and naive to you. i'm responsible to me and God. I'm nothing without God He died for me on the cross and i owe my life to Him for that. I believe that we lived in heaven before we came down to earth. And that's where we will go again if we believe Christ is our Saviour and live for Him. have you ever tried other religions?
