  • Glory to God!

  • Awesome, may Christ give us peace and humanity.

  • Μεγάλη θέση, χάρη!

    Καλά Χριστούγεννα!

  • DIO SIA CON VOI!

  • I like the monastery icons..goes well with the chant...

  • these are the odes of Orthros on the feast of the Nativity

  • just some of the verses of Ode9

  • "XC is born glorify him" is from the first ode. the ninth ode is the Megalynarion which on feast days is usually "magnify oh my soul"

  • I am bit confused. On the feast of nativity all the verses of each ode are read and then the first verse of each ode are chanted.? which is what ode?

  • no the odes are always chanted. this hymn is the hirmos of the first ode, second ode, and so on. Christ is born glorify him is the opening verse of the hirmos of the first ode. =]

  • @byzantinechants hey, you know where I can find this in Greek? Great upload, don't get me wrong but there's just something even more captivating about it when sung in Greek.

  • These are the Katavasias that are chanted more or less from the month between the Presentation of the Theotokos and Christmas. So it's actually a bit more than a month, so not just on Nativity.

  • Beautiful!God bless my brother!

  • Realmente hermoso canto, y el icono esta bellisimo. gracias.
