  • You've got to be pure shit to catch and buy all the shit that flies out of my pc only becoz your dangerous eyes are a constant danger to me and i want to fuck them out of here!

    BACKOFF! Backwater

  • Hang on. Where's Rick's tele??

  • Class, Excellent . Best live Band Ever!!

  • das rockt

  • What a day that was !!!!!!!! End of an era

  • BACKWATER is the best Quo song imo ..Recently, I saw them playing in Toulouse, but they didn 't sung it; True that ' s Alan Lancaster voice that wld have been missing

  • @serengiv I'm sure that most people would probably disagree with me but I always thought that Alan Lancaster was the best singer in the band. Its a shame that he and Rossi fell out so spectacularly.

  • @800764 That's my feeling, too

  • klasse

  • Love The Quo, always have, always will, but is it just me or does Alan Lancaster look very much like Derek Smalls here? Or did Christopher Guest originally base that character on Alan Lancaster?

  • such memories of fantastic times and music especially when having to first hearing this on the quo album, at about 13 yrs old when i also had hair that long and dressing completely in denim clothing and wearing platform boots, those were the days.

  • alwaye great when the three got together and rock .the audience always love it !!!

  • 10 people need their heads testing one of Quos best

  • @silkiebreeder yeh, your right !!Great Typical Origanal QUO SONG the good old QUO and Days,LIVE ON QUO.!!!

  • This is their best number!!!

  • Status Quo live, pure classic

  • what album is that song off, i so may get it

  • @Irishdieselhead

    the album is called "Quo"

  • Its the easy way out for all concerned to be stubborn and not to reunite. It says a lot more about your character if you are willing to set your stubborness aside and to give at the least the people /fans that made you a multi millionaire what they would love to see: the frantic four ,with andy bown of course also there, reunited. Greatest band ever by the way. A unique sound. No match on these guys !

  • @impact1 The guys have patched up differences with Alan, but he's settled in Australia now and looking after his son's band. Those days of Quo are gone, but they'll always remain in the older fans memories. At least Quo are still going, and Quid Pro Quo is their best album in ages!

  • @GloucesterAdam yep i agree Quid Pro Quo is their very best since ......long ago ^-^

  • @impact1 yes i agree too, it's fucken great ,love Dust to Gold .Congrats QUO .

  • @GloucesterAdam Yes, Quid Pro Quo is excellent.

  • da kommen mir die tränen. the best band ever

  • Simply the best live band on the planet!!!!!

  • @QuoBabe Yeah roll on wembley

  • @QuoBabe yeah roll on wembley

  • Buenaaaa

  • Das ist so geil!!!

  • El Legendo! .-)

  • Great stuff

  • there best live vid

  • whats stopping Francis and Rick from releasing Live Alive Quo on DVD as well some shows from the 80's like this show and NEC or do they know it will sell more then their current albums and dvds. Or does it come down to Alan?

  • @aburrows2008 its not down to alan,he was not the one who shit on the others,it was the other way round

  • why is this song only arriving to me in not stereo, help

  • Best band ever.......Backwater has one of the best intro af all of their songs.....QUO forever...!!!

  • ROCK AND ROLL

  • wat a great band grew up wiht them

  • and who is the main quo man .yes alan lancaster /you would not see that ulgy cunt rihno do that .are wat ever the fuck you call him /alan lancaster rules

  • So great band!!!

  • One of the Best......

  • anyone else think there should be a Quo Guitar Hero i really want one

  • The Quo should tell SONY to fuck right off! if everyone playing Guitar Fuckin Hero would spend the same amount of time practising 3 or 4 basic chords rock music would continue - fuck the Japs!!!

  • @Mase29 OMG, cracking idea!! That would seriously be amazing!!

  • Woa, havent heard this one in more than 30 years, great

  • OK - are you gonna take over then? He is what we call in the business "a pro" He ain't The Mad Turk but he's OK

  • one of quos all time great songs. Quo rocked in the 70's and they should be judged on their line up and songs at that time and not the karaoke stuff they produce these days.

  • it's so crazy how many people show up at their concerts, yet they aren't as popular as today bands which aren't really that great. i would really hate to be in the very back at this concert. love quo!

  • Just never get sick of Quo....Pure class!!!!!!!!!

  • OLD SCHOOL, OLD TIME, The best they did lol, luv em still though.

  • with pete kircher on drums quo rocks great band

  • awsome i love it!!! go alan GO!

  • OMG tis jus kicks me off the chair!

  • Cool!!!

  • The solo was note for note off the album!!!!!!

  • never read so much crap !! - song ROCKS , solo ROCKS , quo FUCKING ROCK

  • great to hear this again. 1 of their best from 1 of their best albums.got em all upto rockin all over the world when i reccon that was the begginig of the end of em being a rock band

  • Tho I think Quo are awesome, this is the first time I've ever heard this song and thought the solo was kind of lame. The song rocked out and I just wanted to hear Rossi burn, but nope, some nursery rhyme thing. Quo are still cool though!

  • Best brit band ever, took my 14 year old daughter to see them, she didnt want to go but now plays quo constantly. FANTASTIC!!!

  • AL & JC what a performance when they where all together gr8 2 c the old stuff, but once a quo fan always a quo fan, QUO ROCK

  • Classic Quo track - they're still class live. Saw em last year 26 years on from when I first saw em and took my 16 year old daughter and she even thought they were good!! However that ain't JC on drums it's Pete Kircher :-)

  • Alan Lancaster was the only real rocker in that band, well maybe John Coghlan too, Parfitt and Rossi, however, when left on their own, only proved themselves to be a couple of wimps. Backwater is one of their best songs, though.

  • LMAO whatever

  • They were more of a 'rock' band with AL and JC (even though AL helped 'engineer' JC's move out of the band).

It's a shame they turned 'soft' in the mid 80s, but I guess the move in genre was more a commercial decision than anything.

  • well fucking said...and in order...

  • Brilliant stuff.

There's nothing quite like rocking to the magnificent Status Quo

  • Excellent and real rock, from the legendary Quo album.

  • extraordinaire the solo ! quel pied !

  • superaffentittengeil!!!

  • quo 4 ever

    germany

  • quo 4 ever

    germany

  • The rockin` Quo great memories. FRANTIC4,COM NO PANTO QUO

  • sin dudas una gran banda que todavia sigue en actividad...grande QUO !!!!

  • Classic Quo! You can't beat it!

  • Nothing beats Quo :)

Especially in the ultimate line up: Rick, Alan, John and Francis. Together these 4 guys were magic and wrote numorous classic albums and songs.

  • I think many will think that it can

  • wakenwoll!!!!!!!!

  • SUPERB

  • classic track

  • its easy to forget how bloody good they were. Alan, we miss you.

  • With Alan and John they were certainly more rock - now they are just a 'pop' act. Like what you get if you mix Boyzone with Black Sabbath.

  • joder, eran los mejores, lástima estos últimos años...quo forever!!

  • excellent.the best band ever.

  • omg, this was the first quo song i ever heard, that was when i was 7, now im 15 and still love quo ^_^

  • Saeme as me pwnoftheages. I'm 41 and I still love them!!

  • OH MY GUCKING FOD!!! I love Quo so much, i`m 47 years old and have been in love with Rick Parfit since I was 13....fanbloodytastic!

  • It's so nice to see Alan Lancaster by the microphon. They was and are a great group. Whit John Coughland playing the drums ( not here) and the original members they were the best.

  • Jasus, that was neither today nor yesterday. From the size of Rossi's 'burns, and the fact that it appears to be Pete and not Coghlan on drums, it must be some time between 1980 and 1984. This is one of their best songs. Never noticed it before but Lancaster sounds like Robin Zander from Cheap Trick.

  • 1984 taken from the end of the road tour in milton keynes

  • This band, and this song was the first rock n'roll I ever heard. It changed my life.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • My goodness Alan Lancaster was fit wasn't he. He knocked the others into a cocked hat talent-wise too. I could watch him all day.

  • Where is this? Is it an early 80's Donnington Monsters of Rock gig? It looks familiar.

  • This tour was end of the road tour in the mid 80's and this particuler venue was Milton Keynes Bowl it was my first experience of Quo live and loved it. At the age of 15 gettin high on fumes from every where around and fantastic looking topless girl quo fans. Will always remember this particular gig. Rock on quo.

  • It was Milton Keynes 84,last gig of the end of the road tour.Thank god i was there to witness the rossi, parfitt, lancaster combo for the last time!great day...

  • not QUITE the last time - the very last time was their appearance at the beginning of Live Aid in 1985.

  • Last time i saw em live with that line up.

  • Milton Keynes Bowl, End of the Road tour '84. I was on the front row.. 'Appy days....

  • Come on, bring back Alan Lancaster and John Coughlan and Quo will rock the planet with pure rock.

  • that is so huge! i really want to hear "lonely man".

  • <:) "Sniff....." I can never give up with the guitar solos a great song "Sniff....."

  • sitting here shaking my head and grinning this is unreal :) rock on

  • Entendre ça, c'est recharger ses accus! Quelle pêche! Que du peps. génial

  • un des trois plus grand groupes de ROCK'n'ROLL

  • might not be same as old days but still rockin.......quoohohohohohohohoh

  • Best live band ever...!

  • must be the best quo song ever,

  • Tiré de l'album QUO, le meilleur album du groupe, le plus costaud !

  • this is when quo were a real band.

  • where ya been? they still are. any quo is good quo so shut it

  • where ya been? they still are. any quo is good quo so shut it

  • le meilleur de STATUS QUO

  • this is in quo fans top 3 lol classis status q

  • old line up was the best, never the same when Lancaster & Coghlan left

  • Have to say that I agree with pinklinc re Rossi and Mr Quo... was never the same once john and alan left, still go to see them but would love to see them reformed... yeah yeah, dream on! Just a pity Rick had not sided with alan, things might have just been a bit different.

  • i agree, and to be honest, when they bought out rockin all over the world, and became the "granny's darlings" is when they killed it for me !!,up to on the level and maybe blue for you, i thought they were great.

  • id say they were ammence until after just supposin (1082-2004)then they started 2 write good music again heavy traffic and ISOTFC(ace)

  • Classic. Nuff said.

  • QUO OH OH OH OH !!

Live album Glasgow Apollo "Lets get that balcony moving!!!!!!!"

    'Nuff said

  • proper quo nuff said :-)

  • YH!!! BACKWATER!!!!

  • lancaster...great singer song writer....original and best.....

  • Awesome video :)

and just for the record, I prefer Rhino

  • Hahaha

  • personally i prefer lancaster to rhino because i aint a big fan of alot of quos new stuff bt the albums like piledriver and quo was the stuff im into bt i aint gonna argue with peoples opinions.u like wat u like full stop!!!!!

  • bigrock wont argue with u bcause to come out with that tell me all i need to no about u 1 u no not 1thing abot the quo wat so ever alan lancaster wat with the quo when the started and was the best but u stick to acdc and stop talking shit

  • Friggin awesome what a song.

  • Who do you pefer Rhino or Lancaster?

    I pefer Rhino

    please reply

  • lancaster. rhino's good bt lancaster is a brilliant rock bassist and singer

  • Rhino is better than Alan Lancaster

  • Lancaster (co)wrote Quo's best stuff, ignorant fools

  • must be the best quo song ever,

  • gr00vy

  • my best album is quo, i think it is awsome, if they could just do something like tht 1ce more then i would be very happy.

  • it would be great if just once more the original line kicked ass!so many memories, piledriver, hello,on the level etc fuckin rock!

  • alan lancaster one and only get him back quo

  • i think they are still awsome, defo 1 of my top 3 bands but without lancaster and coghlan i just dont think there music is sooo good but they are still amazing.

  • rossi refused to work with nuff anymore because he wanted to broaden quos music more whereas nuff wanted quo to stay heavy.nuff hated margurita time whereas rossi loved it.cue major musical differences!rossi said thats it after end of road tour.the wanderer was the last single with lancaster

  • wat exactly was the reason why lancaster left?

  • Coz Rossi decided he's Mr. Quo

  • it was such a poxy reason why he left. same with spud as well.band lost the edge when these two left

  • oh no they dint they were still gr8 after they left and r still gr8 today. i see em last friday and they still rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrock!!!!!!!!!

  • i miss lancaster and coghlan but agree with ya.They still rock!

  • u cannot beat parfit and lancaster at songwriting, they wer fuking amazing, absolutleycrazy loosing lancaster, the stupidest thing ever.

  • Rossi Is God!

  • Rossi turned Quo in2 a joke

  • i love this song,i thought quo were stupid loosing lancaster,he was an awsome singer and songwriter.

  • Oh yeah! He was an INCREDIBLE songwriter! He and Parfitt!

  • check out Meatpuppets Backwater. I was looking for the video for the 'puppets song Backwater and thought that Quo did a cover of it, but its a different song altogether, but you should check out Meatpuppets Backwater, its an awesome song.

  • Parfitt and Lancaster are the best composers of Status Quo by far! This is one of the greatest Quo songs!

  • they were never going to be strong song wise after nuff left.lost to good a song writer and singer

  • Read: 'Lancaster suggested 2 have..' & not 'Lancaster suggested Parfitt have..' Guess I've been drinkin 2 much. Again, yes

  • Ok Pink, never knew that - thanks for the information!

  • Pink - Rossi and Parfitt were mates going back to the early/mid 60s, so I doubt one would have kicked the other out of the band. Alan Lancaster had become disillusioned with the direction Quo were taking after 'Margareita Time', so it was on the cards that he would go.

  • Lancaster was in a band with Rossi even b4 Status Quo or Parfitt were in sight. Lancaster also disapproved of recording RAOTW, way b4 Margarita Time - lousy songs indeed :). D best tracks from Quo r (co)written by Lancaster &/or Parfitt, while most of d rubbish comes from Rossi. Lancaster suggested Parfitt have a Quo without Rossi, but un4tunately Parfitt chickened out and finally a judge decided otherwise :(

  • Though this is 1 of pure chemistry

  • As far as I'm concerned Parfitt & Lancaster shud have kicked Rossi out :)

  • Great posting. They were the first band I ever saw over 25 years ago, saw them twice more with this line up, sure could rock the Hammersmith Odeon

  • Hope u still go to see them xjsfan. They are without a doubt one of the best live bands in the world.

  • Moved to NZ 8 yrs ago, not seen them since!!!!!

  • We go to see them every year(myself and my son)they put on a good show.Don,t know if they go as far as NZ mind you. Thanks for getting back.

  • The last comment was from my sons username incase your wondering who EuanQuo was!

  • I was part of the crowd for the 1977 Live album, recorded at the old Glasgow Apollo

  • These guys are finest live act you will evr see. I first went to see them when i was 8 and im still bang on it! 40 years on and they are truly amazing! LONG LIVE THE QUO!

  • i seen these guys 2 last yeah, there bloody awsome:)

  • there was a reason why they didn't make it in the states... After Matchstick Men the guy said that they were "bad" as in they were good...they took it the wrong way and thought..."oh well...stuff 'em!"

  • these guys should of been big here in the states

  • Saw them live in the 70s 3 or 4 times. Met Coghlan, nice guy! this is the classic line up with a classic track. I, too, never knew why they never cracked the states when Foghat did. Funny old world!

  • still gives u goose pimples listens to there best records .. QUALITY

  • simply BRILL

  • With Coghlan, the line up was certainly the classic lineup and produced some of their best stuff. I doubt whether he was their best drummer technically. I once met him at a Land Rover event (he was into Land Rovers) and I was dissapointed as I thought he was quite a dull person.

  • Wow this was Quo at their wildest!

  • Brilliant that really sounded great ..

  • Dont agree with that Pete Kircher was very good but he was no John Coghlan or their current drummer Matt Letley

  • thats the 1st video ive ever seen of lancaster singing bloody brilliant
