TTC workers say that they have been in their jobs for long years. During the last 8 years I got laid off seven times for reasons beyond my control. When I lost a job I had nobody to go on strike to defend me. Why not the TTC workers are also given a chance to look for new work after enjoying hourly rates over $25 when some are forced to work for $7.

GOOD NEWS: The TTC strike has been averted now that the TTC union has reached a tentative deal.

Cradle to grave benefits, great working conditions, great money with lots of overtime available... and they are complaining? Like kids in a candy store, you can't blame the union when the storekeeper isn't doing his/her job. Why doesn't the TTC comment on negotiations? They need to counter the union arguments and illustrate how things are... if you don't like it... LEAVE and find another job.

TTC is a MONOPOLY. The union is too powerful. Ban strikes and let them negotiate.
