"Carlo do this with your fingers" ahhh disturbing movie when people are eating shit, but a movie that had to be made,my sister liked it and her daughter (my niece) thought it was fucked but liked it too.Id say everyone should see this movie
ummm i dont know if anyone could help me but i have a question. my little cousin who is 7 years old and a couple of his friends are coming to our house for a party and its movie night and well... i was wandering if this movie would be apporiate for children like them. btw im being serious! i have no other movies!
@GavinStory Was this last night and did you watch it?! If not I hope you're joking this is one of the most disturbing movies out there, there's explicit torture and rape etc hahaha
This movie is a masterpiece. I take screenshots of the movies I watch, and from this movie there was just a ridiculous amount. A lot of people go into this movie thinking "this is just for shock value" but the movie says a lot about human nature, the intrinsic sadism within us people that can awake, especially when encouraged by group pressure. Also, how humans can be broken down into submission. The dialogue, especially by the "storytellers", was so eerie and void of human sanity. Amazing.
@OlderG0ds the movie is based on a novel by de sade, and have nothing to do with fascism. in this movie pasolini talks about the corruption that come from power and the de-personification of poor people done by the rich class. eating shit is a metaphore used to show the horror of the social class relations of capitalistic society. you can be agree or not with pasolini, but don't criticize if you don't get the point of the opera!
@nedatronics You redefine fail. Could you give any explanaition of the "good" part of the movie? Or what makes it "good"? No. You just say so because it's some highly acclaimed fucked up artsy flick that besides it's trash and peen value for 16 year olds is a huge piece of garbage. And then the music... it's actually "good" lol.
I just watched this film, even though I'm only 11 years old I am an inspired film maker. When I grow up I don't only want to make action movies, but dramas like this one. This movie was amazing! so when I'm older and you (might) see "Ethan Zuchkan" in movie credits you will remember that from this comment...this movie inspired me.
sick...to have these fantasies is enough disturbing...but filming this garbage and showing it to the rest of the world...that should be punished... and then you wonder how all those sick fucks in real world get their ideas... the director of this should die of aids
@EndPuppet There must be something wrong with those who took part in the making of a film of that story. At least I can't see any humanity-serving cause in the film. A film cannot serve medical/psychological study purposes in any way the novel already wasn't. So the only reason I can think of for why someone wants to turn it into a film, is for entertainment which it really isn't to anyone sane. WHY would a sane person want to watch this?
@VampireOutlaw I completely agree with what you just said...If this movie is meant to serve entertainment purposes, we must ask ourselves, what kind of person do you have to be, to be enteratained by this. A really bad in my opinion. I'm not religios and in the eyes of a believer I am a great sinner, but to find this movie fun to watch... That is a whole new level of fucked up mind! Not everything sick is art, and spreading those sick ideas to the general public should be punished
I found out about "A Serbian Film" and its contents make this film like a Disney picnic. (Didn't watch it, but reviews and IMDB's parent gude.) I mean, "A Serbian Film" includes some things much sicker than anything even in the novel version of this film, and shown in more explixit graphicness. And when remarked that the novel version of this film was written by an insane liberalist while imprisoned, the creators of "A Serbian Film" should REALLY be locked up.
@VampireOutlaw Jeah...I live in a country near Serbia, did not watch the movie since I heard some bad things about it...but I can say that Serbia had some extremly violent recent history. Overall, they are civilized and proud nation, but as any other country in the world, they have some extreme groups that did no good for the humanity. It probably has something to do with their over the top national pride, but that movie really does damage to them as a nation. too bad
@VampireOutlaw As an example of a movie, that I would not recommend to anyone (and was kind of forced to watch myself), there is the Human Centipede (first part). While not explicit in its visual form, it is a really sick movie that has no purpose, no quality and no taste. It forces an idea upon your mind that you would never think of yourself, and unfortunately that idea stays with you for too long... Did not watch the second one and considering the reviews, I'm glad I didn't...
@EndPuppet I checked that movie out on IMDB a few days ago and its plot summary indeed came off so sick that I have no desire to recommend it to anyone for any reason. The only thing it takes for its plot to become reality is if someone sick and intelligent enough to go for it. Seriously, MPAA and other such organizations should be more strict on what they allow to be released to provoke wrong kind of creativity. Just b/c something isn't explixit/graphic, doesn't mean it's harmless.
@EndPuppet The director of this film can not die of aids. He was murdered (shot dead) shortly after this film was completed. For all I've understood of the information, it happened because of this film. So I think you basically got what you wished for.
@VampireOutlaw Did you soak all that bullshit out of your ass? Despite agreeing with you on the film itself, the director wasn't shot. Quote from Wiki: "Pasolini was murdered by being run over several times with his own car, dying on 2 November 1975 on the beach at Ostia, near Rome."
@hurensohnadolf No need to over-react. Everyone gets their facts wrong sometimes. I don't remember which site I got my information from. (And Wikipedia, being editavle by just anyone at any time, isn't exactly the word of God either.)
But it really doesn't matter by what method he died, the main fact is that he was murdered shortly after this film was made. That's all that matters for the sake of argument. So I'm not saying it was a good thing that a man was murdered,
@VampireOutlaw if this movie provoked that act of violence, than I guess the only one to blame for is the victim itself. His movie did damage to the mind, so someone, obviously offended and with some connection to what it describes and shows, did damage to him.
I'm not saying I feel any better now, but someone probably does...
To the ones that don't get my point of view...well I believe that movies are a powerful medium that should be used to enchance our lives not damage it.
Dispite the morally fucked up concept of the film, those actors are brilliant. Especially that crazy ass bitch who tells about her prostitution escapades. She talks about it like it's completely normal for someone to anally rape a nine year old little girl and those men listening find nothing wrong with it. Psycho fucking movie. Damn the fascists
This shows how truly screwed up the inner-city left-wing pinkos are. I found out about this by reading about the Marquis de Sade on Wikipedia. I am appalled that a novel written by this sicko could ever be made into a movie. A classic example of an "artist" with no talent who resorts to attention seeking...
I wonder how much production money was wasted on this "art for the sake of art" piece of shit film? I've watched countless numbers of these kind of films from this to Eraserhead and every time its just a sad little failed director trying to get noticed.
While someone has already disproved your assumption about the director of this specific film, you should also know (and frankly I'm surprised you don't) that David Lynch who directed Eraserhead (and that was his first film) is also quite respected and successful.
Perhaps you don't really know what you're talking about...?
@xXNickPXx Actually I do. These films will have success among a niche audience but they'll never make big money like more conventional story lines. There's nothing wrong with that, I'm just a very money orientated when it comes to film making. Show eraser head to 200 million people and at least 150 million of them would say that was rubbish.
Absolutely right. I was just referring to your line: "every time its just a sad little failed director trying to get noticed," which obviously isn't the case as neither director is little or failed. But I can't argue that the larger audience will enjoy Lynch films or similar films, it's certainly a niche, but a pretty big one internationally
@robsmith000 It isn't a plot driven film. It is a metaphor for fascim and how people allow themselves to be abused by government powers. If you can't even absorb that basic line...stick to blockbusters.
@robsmith000 why?can you explain me, i did not see this film?Did i must to watch it?the commentaries of newspaper and of my parents are just exiting my curiosity!
@LONGLIFEHEARTBREAKID well this advertisement makes the film look very good and interesting, but in fact it's badly written and badly filmed. there isn't any storyline or plot. it's separated into 4 sections ( like chapters): the Anteinferno, the Circle of Manias, the Circle of Shit, and the Circle of Blood, which takes away viewing pleasure. it's not enjoyable (and i am a person who is easily pleased). thats my opinion.
