  • Cyborgs ARE rude!

  • Amen brother.

  • This video always makes laugh every time I watch it.

  • Hmmm, that's a big difference in the viewing figures... What exactly happened here? - The Invisible Man

  • Youtube featured this one which means everyone told me how much I sucked. It was pretty cool.

  • Heh, at least you were featured. But don't worry, it was a good minute.

  • Cell phones kill bees.

  • Cell phones are depleting our honey supply?

  • Alas, that is a distinct possibility. Bees seem to be disoriented through the signals and can't find their way back to the hive. Of course, those people who make money on cell phones will jump to deny this, then it will become political with the money prevailing, so nothing will be done about it. Also, as consumatron has shown, cell phones cause people to act rude; I don't own one.

  • I don't think cell phones cause people to act rude. Rudeness is like change... comes from within.

  • Yes. I guess the cell phones merely provide a new excuse for the rudeness that's already there. Perhaps they have also provided a brand new rudeness outlet for people who would not have had one. By the way: Keep up the good work, Consumatron.

  • lol

  • thanks for lolling

  • hi....

  • hello

  • best episode

  • one of my faves too. Thanks.

  • this guy is so true. i hate it when a guy is talking on blue-tooth and i think hes talking 2 me. and i start talking and he blows me off or looks at me like im ugly betty or something

  • Thanks!

  • You're funny. Remind me of Marc Maron.

  • Don't know the guy. I'll have to look him up. Thanks for watching!

  • i have to say, from that angle, the barista looks and reminds me slightly of ralph fiennes

  • I'll take it!

  • first vid of yours, that i watched , good point

  • amen

  • hallelujah!

  • hahaha!!! thats hella funny. "yeah, let me get a coffee.... party blah blah party.... did u get her digits?" LOL!!

  • Thanks... and no, i didn't get her digits...

  • How about the inclusion of a few tacos to help backfill the justification.

  • tacos and coffee?

  • what size coffee would you like?!?!?

  • Yikes... It was odd that this video showed up at the end of my videos.

  • Yep!

  • *nods in thanks*

  • preach on brotha!!!!!

  • amen!

  • That is why to those who believe in multitasking, I say.... multitasking my ass!

  • It's not multitasking when you can't even finish ordering a cup of coffee. New law... no multitasking before coffee.

  • hm. not slutty enough for me.

  • It would be if you knew where I had my hands while I was talking.

  • slutty enough. but now you lose dumb points.

  • Hang up the damn phone in stores, coffee places, grocery stores, post offices, libraries! WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR STUPID CONVERSATIONS!5 star video.

  • All I ask is that they hang up while conducting another conversation or interaction with another human being.

  • correct

  • Would it help if a person speaks to the other via speakerphone? Wouldn't that be the same as if two people were talking near you, and that you don't find annoying?

  • It's only annoying if the conversation between the two people disrupts the interaction between customer and counter person, thus holding up the line. It's not the phone use that I find annoying. It's the lack of respect and ability to break from the phone use to take part in every day interaction with the people around you.

  • Cell phones can be a great tool and are invaluable for emergencies, but there's a reason I keep mine off while doing business. It's rude and arrogant to blather incessantly on your cell phone while talking with others, and it's entirely unnecessary. There isn't a cell company out there that doesn't offer voice mail. Good video!

  • thanks!

  • aww, and that's why i don't answer my phone if it rings while i'm ordering, because i don't want to get my phone smacked out of my hand... cute vid.

  • wait.. that's the only reason you don't talk on the phone while in line? Oh well.. it's a start.

    Thanks for watching!

  • well... ^-^ i don't do it in line because it's rude! but yes, the phone smacking possibility is also a reason.

  • I agree with your general principal... people shouldn't be asses. There is a TV commercial running lately where a young 20 something is all valleyed up and in a tiff because her super mega coffee has lemon grass in it instead of wheat grass... is there such a thing?

In any way I don't run into that problem because I have figured out how to make my breakfast, lunch and dinner at home... plus coffee.

  • I've never heard of lemongrass in coffee, but lemongrass chicken or beef dishes are usually fantastic. Yes. I too have learned how to make several things at home... though I have not learned how to be home often enough to do so as often as I would like.

  • !!!LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • That's a lot of LOLing. thanks.

  • YES!!! I vote for smacking the phone out of his hand and the smashing the living shit out of it, and then making HIM clean it up!!!! YEAH!!! take that you RUDE FUCKS!!! Put the phone down and interact like a civilized human being!!!

  • woah now... woah... :)

  • I work at Subway. People do that all the time. It annoys the fuck out of me.

  • speaking of subway... The subway (the underground kind) used to be the one place where people couldn't talk on their cell phones, but now they've wired the tunnels so some cell providers can receive signals. Great for emergencies. Horrible for early morning rides to work.

  • well, that sure trumps kidney stones.

  • Haha, indeed a very good one!

  • Thank you.

  • U got a clear,to-the-point style. Great piece for CIVIL RIGHTS EDUCATION. Why not try other necessary themes like, car parking (don't know in America where there's lots of space but here in the Old World people should be aware of parking well otherwise they f*** others' chance of doing so)

  • i don't drive a car and think that more urban citizens should ditch theirs, so that probably wouldn't be a good one for me to cover. You should try your hand at it though.

    Thanks for watching.

  • "man, i used to bank where all of the day traders banked. That line was like an olympic event with everyone trying to show off to everyone else with their plans for the night by screaming them into their cell phone. I always thought "dude, you know you are going home to masturbate to MTV and fall asleep in front of the TV!""

HAHAHAHA! You got this from or are using this in a standup bit, riiiight?

  • got it from my head. I was standing up when I wrote it, does that count?

  • Good video--- but PROBLEM: D all of the above, means that the barista should have started talking on his phone too? Eh?

  • only as a actic to raise awareness in the customer.

if no one pays attention to people not paying attention, does a tree fall in the woods?

  • Ooh. Aha. :D I see. And hmmn. Well, I imagine that a tree would fall in the woods, 'cause you know, that's what trees do... while y'know, the people who are paying attention to the person who's not paying attention beat hell outta 'im.

  • ur i second 2 short

  • That's a youtube tax of some sort

  • Well, I can't recommend "smacking the man's phone out of his face" - but I do agree his behaviour shows a total lack of consideration for others. Why do people think we want to hear their conversation anyway? I also get irritated when people play their MP3 players or Ipods too loudly. They don't realise that they are making themselves deaf - so keep needing to turn it up louder!!!

  • man, i used to bank where all of the day traders banked. That line was like an olympic event with everyone trying to show off to everyone else with their plans for the night by screaming them into their cell phone. I always thought "dude, you know you are going home to masturbate to MTV and fall asleep in front of the TV!"

  • was it really yesterday??

  • it was yesterday on the day i shot the video... wait.. come to think of it... it *was* yesterday... again.

  • minute of whining

  • and a comment of the same

  • hardly you crazy mofo, mine was more a non engaged observation...

  • i cant read my comment which leads me to lost symbols paranoia, i stated to the best of my knowledge @hardly you crazy mofo, mine was more a non emotionally engaged observation not warranting the use of violence or video blogging to convey it to others" yeah, my memory allows small changes

  • nope. just changed comments to approval. I welcome all comments and criticism. just not the chain comments.

  • This is SOOOOO true, and very well stated! Great video! I subscribed.

  • no no i love it A LOT but it says 1 minute so i thought 60 seconds. ITS REALLY FUNNY

  • Right AWN, bruh! You're preachin' to the Choir here!

  • someone's gotta get em singin'!

  • word

  • right back at cha

  • Loved the video.. I wonder how these cell phone users managed a few years ago.. this video should be made the law or something..

  • A couple of years ago, people did weird things like read books and talked to each other face to face... eesh.

  • It's because of non-conventional cheap, but well made videos like this that I enjoy this site

  • thanks...

  • True, but you're still not gay.

  • uhm...

  • well said, well spoken, well put.

  • well well well. thanks

  • that is so true...i hate it when people talk on the phone when they should be say, looking out their windshield while they drive...

  • amen

  • I liked the slap bit, it was silly.

  • most people tell me it isn't realistic enough. I've talked to my stuntman.

  • haha nicely done bro

  • Thanks, man

  • Thanks to the negative commenters for wasting your time by commenting on my video. It keeps you off the streets and that's a good thing.

    lol

  • I saw a couple of them on the streets the other day. They must have caught up with all of the recent youtube videos.

  • your opinion matters very much to me.

  • your opinion of my opinion matters very much to me too.

  • sounds funny.... but real... it happened to me on the supermarket o_O

  • happened to me too. That's why I made the video. Thanks for watching!

  • When someone gets in the way of me getting coffee they've crossed that line.

    Neat videos.

  • I agree, but if I haven't had my coffee, I usually don't have the energy to do anything about it.

  • I like this blog. Makes sense with how some people can be such an ass.

  • all people. we're all capable. Thanks.

  • Bravo!

  • *bows*

  • who is this guy he sounds like a commedean

  • I'm just a guy with a video camera and someone who tries to pay attention. Thanks for the compliment though.

  • sorry if i took my comment the wrong way

  • I know right....its even worse when youre stuck in traffic and the buttmunch in front of you wont keep up with the flow of the already slow monving traffic because he's laughin with someone on the phone.....ideots...

  • using cell phones while driving is illegal in Chicago, yet hardly anyone gets pulled over for it. I've seen so many accidents because of people yapping while driving. It makes me so angry.

  • I know a guy who has a sticker that's themed on the "Visualize World Peace" phrase. It reads, "Visualize World Me Cramming That Cellphone Up Your A**". :-)

  • Tell it like it is. Amen, brother!

  • Hallelujah, brother!

  • haha

  • hehe

  • so true man so true

  • I aim for truth... Because the truth is kind of hilarious. Thanks for watching!

  • Bang on Sir! Love the writing as well... getting called Poindexter in your moment of triumph. Then again being Englsih I'm what being called Poindexter means, but hearing it reffered to on Simpsons and more I got a little idea.... anyway, ramble over.

  • Andy Rooney needs to watch his six. Excellent message and long overdue.

  • It's no fluke that Rooney started his thing on sixty minutes the year I was born.

60 Seconds, instead of 60 Minutes?

  • Soooooooooo True! You're My Hero!

  • Hero? I haven't saved any lives or ended wars yet... but I'm working on it. Thanks, though.

  • Good point!

  • Appreciate the comment!

  • Totally man. Good stuff.

  • Thanks!

  • thats the truth man! nice vid!

  • Thanks for checking it out!

  • lol, 59 sec clip gets 163543 views? u fucking kidding me? jez, besides, i like when this guy put the jel on his hair....wtf?

  • it was water, actually. but, whatever.

  • cool! here we go!

  • wheee!

  • lol No problem dude. Just don't make it seem so forced. It was still funny. I was just busting your chops. No worries...

  • chops busting is good. I'll try on the forced thing... but I'm no actor... it's all off the top of my head most of the time, so in one way or another, i really mean it.

  • Good thinking Point Dexter :) Without being rude, he should have served you and ignore the impolite bastard. *I own a cell phone... and it would never occur to me to act like that; because I'm civilized!*

  • A civilized person with a cell phone? How'd that happen?

    Thanks for watching.

  • Trying to hard...That's my fuckin' opinion...

  • don't think anyone asked... but thanks anyway.

  • So true! I love it! Hahaha!

  • thanks

  • this is so gay

  • Is "gay" a choice? If so, I support your decision.

  • This was good until the end when it got preachy and obvious.

  • Thanks for the honest criticism. There's not much of that on here. Thanks for watching, too.

  • "tool" "homo" "lol"

alllllllll slang. i swear peaple on this wbsite just look for anyting to leave negetive ffedback about. stop being insecure and go make do something else.

  • nerd? wow.

  • U sound like my mom, lol. I don't mean that in a bad way.

  • u r not a nice little boy... I'm kidding, okay? all righty then.

  • lol very good point, cool vid 2 dude

  • thanks bp!

  • People walking and talking on cell phones expect other people to move out of their way, like they are parting the sea somehow with their divine conversation. I like to stand still in my tracks when they are headed straight for me. So far I have not been hit, and it's nice to see their faces when they notice the world around them, if only for a moment.

  • Another good tactic is to follow them closely and loudly start to respond to everything they say. Then when they stop to ask you what you were doing, tell them that you thought they were talking to you since they were walking right toward you.

  • That is pretty good^_^

  • thanks!

  • true true. but i picked option C. MY BAAD!

  • Well, you were partially right. :)

  • never a truer word said.this is one everyone can relate to

  • Happy you feel that way. Thanks for watching!

  • How true!!! I totally agree! I mean... How many times has someone almost hit you on your way to work just because they wouldn't put their dadgum phone down?!

  • Exactly 4679.5 times. The .5 was a guy checking his pager.

  • The use of mobile devices is a long standing debate in the philosophy department on campus. But I definately agree with this video

  • really? are there any philosophy texts on this subject?

  • no just our normal banter

  • You're Welcome

  • nicely put

  • thanks!

  • Don't care what anyone says...This is truly your finest hour.

  • but, it's only a minute. did you watch it 60 times?

    (thanks, btw)

  • Really nice work, thanks. ;P (couldn't resist)

  • you tease.

  • You seem to be a person so aware of the good and bad sides of others' comments that I'm just going to leave a neutral comment. See ya.

  • thanks. see ya.

  • Couldn't have said it better! Great post and thanks for sharing.

  • thanks for watching!

  • good insight, sir!

  • thank you, sir!

  • this was really concise, short, and sweet. your precedent should be followed.

  • Thanks. It amazes me that people watch the videos on youtube of people who just ramble on. My rule is, if you don't have something to talk about for a minute every day, you aren't paying attention. If you feel that you should talk to strangers about it for longer than one minute, you also aren't paying attention.
