  • This is a great ad. America missed the boat by voting for Looser Bufoon Jackass Johnson.

  • Goldwater supported gays being in the military ("You don't have to be straight to be in the military; you just have to be able to shoot straight."), and also said that "Good Christians should kick Jerry Falwell in the ass". He also shared the profits with the employees who worked at his family's department store when he was running it. Whatever your opinion of Goldwater, he was no typical Republican of today's stripe.

  • I am a far- left Democrat , and lets be honest everything this ad said would happen Happened , and I am thankful for it.

  • lol @ "Only France would dare make 'The Hot Hours'".

But but...wait, wasn't Barry Goldwater the ideal of rational libertarianism? He couldn't possibly have been campaigning on an extremely anti-1st Ammendment platform of banning things uptight old white people don't like?

  • Barry Goldwater was the last great Republican to get the nomination.

  • "After negative accounts of the film began cropping up in the press, the candidate himself branded the film racist and vetoed its airing. " conelrad dot com

  • LOL - Goldwater supported gay rights, he opposed the religious right - actually said: "If we don't get rid of the religious right they'll ruin the whole Republican Party." Goldwater was probably the best presidential candidate ever and that's why today's neo-fascists try to belittle him.

  • @Goofyridge1 And with this video, he also proves he's a massive hypocrite.

  • @mirrornette What this video proves is that he can learn. Can't imagine some clown so ignorant that they don't evolve mentally over time. If you've had the very same opinion of Senator Goldwater since 1964, you may wish to walk your mind through the neighborhood car wash.

  • @Goofyridge1 So you're saying that in 1964, he didn't support gay rights and didn't oppose the religious right? Then how in the world is he "the best presidential candidate ever?"

  • @Goofyridge1

No, learning is when you change your position even when it's unpopular, strategic expediency aka "flip floppin' " is when you change it after it proves unpopular with your potential voters. Goldwater might not have been a backwards puritan himself, but like all money-worshiping conservatives he was happy to pretend to be one so that he'd curry favor with uneducated Middle Americans.

  • Wow. Look at what liberals have done. Everyone will have a hard on and women will be horny in America where all they care about is sex. There minds are on auto pilot. Oh wait, thats already happening, thanks to the communists and red herrings, which is what they ARE. Funny of how the Feminist movement retracts it now saying that it, "objectifies women. It's cultural marxism.

  • It's a mark of how utterly pathetic Goldwater's campaign was. Possibly the worst Presidential candidate ever fielded.

  • If nobody wants it, why does it sell so well?

  • Sounds like a similar message coming from the GOP in 2011...

  • it is so pathetic that i don't feel lik wasting my words on saying how pathetic it is. they are in fact selling more of vulgarity through this ad.
