Update just by chance if ya didn't already know.. That's an eclipse. Um. Only close to the 3000gt by the sohc 3.0 v6 that's in it. But still at that, that engine is let say reversed. So more importantly that's a 3G eclipse. I'm a 3000gt fanatic and that comment made on that comparison... Oh my (I have something in my eye) it hurt man... It really Hurt... i have an 05 stratus rt. with just a cold air intake and a supercharger.. and it sounds similar to that, but i want an exhaust. i just want to know if you had to make custom cuts to put it on?

@YMPVT As far as engine stuff goes, it has the same engine as the 3g Mitsubishi Eclipse. So all the engine performance parts that are made for that engine will work on the Stratus R/T as well. But some things, like exhaust and all, have to be custom made.

The exhaust was just a Flowmaster muffler with custom 2.5" piping done at a local shop. Nothing special.

Not the same engine that's in the 3000GT/Stealth RT, That was the 6G72 DOHC, whereas the Dodge Stratus/Mitsubishi Eclipse use the 6G72 SOHC. And why say its a "2005 3000GT non turbo, just call it the 05 Stratus, if you still wanna be ricey call it the 2005 Dodge Stealth RT. Car sounds decent, take that damn Flowmaster off tho, makes the car sound crappier and quieter than it should sound like

Yea. This was right after he got the car. We were just going by what the mechanic told us. We hadnt done any research of our own yet. And it sounded alot better in person. The camera just wasnt very good at capturing the sound. The car was just a little experiment really. It has since been replaced with a 2001 Chevy Camaro SS.

it's not a "3000 GT" it's the same as an Eclipse GT. same motor and interior. i have a 2000 Eclipse GT and my friend has a 2001 Stratus RT exactly the same other than exterior

Yea, I know. We were just going by what the mechanic had told us. He had just gotten the car. We did our own research later and found out it was just an Eclipse in Dodge clothing.

The CAI is just a basic one from ebay. And the exhaust was custom made but a local shop.

for engine mods, you can use the same parts from a 3rd generation mitsubishi eclipse gts. it has the same 3.0 V6 in it.

nice man. well the only parts that transfer between the two are engine parts because they have the same motor. none of the other parts will work as far as i know. but if you ever wanted to turbo or supercharge your car, you could just but a turbo kit or supercharger kit for the GTS and only have to have the exhaust modified.

Actually, it is considered a DSM. The Stratus was built in the same factory as the Eclipse and Talon, the DSM factory, that was owned by Chrysler and Mitsubishi, therefore qualifying it as a DSM. Plus, this car even has the stickers from the Mitsubishi factory that say "Built By Mitsubishi Motors."
