With Space Manbow on MSX 2, it shows "wobbly" edges of the screen because the scroll handling on its video chip was less advanced than the MSX 2+ chip.
It had nothing to do with hacked versions and such.
On an MSX 2+ or MSX Turbo R the game looks like it does on this video.
There were some games for the MSX2 that already had smooth horizontal scrolling, like Space Manbow, but it was a hack and on the edges of the screen you can see that.
