  • i dont support unicorns, i AM a unicorn :D (hence my name being charlie, lol)

  • "And all they do in Harry Potter is save villains"

WHAT!? Voldermort KILLED THEM to DRINK THEIR BLOOD! It's not like they were all "Hey Voldy want some fresh, grade A unicorn blood? It'll help you defeat Harry. Just slaughter me and you can have all that you want."

It's like saying Voldermort living in the first place was Harry's fault because he became a horcrux...

  • I'm not a fan of George Bush. But if he could transform into a car at will I might have to revise my opinion a bit.

  • I love that you just use tonks. nobody seems to care about her

  • I don't know about you guys, but I'm Switzerland in this war.

  • Comment removed

  • In harry potter, inferi are basicaly zombies. Voldermort used inferi to protect one of his his horcruxes, they are on his side.

the unicorns stay in the forbidden forrest. They are extreemly shy and did not kill anyone. The only way in which they helped voldermort was by being killed - they were victims. If you are going to say that unicorns helped to kill Tonks by giving voldermort strength, then Harry also helped to kill her by donating his blood for the potion. Neither were volentary.

  • but Voldemort is kind of a zombie...he was brought back from the dead...well I mean I guess he never fully died because the horcruxes kept his soul alive in seven different parts, but it can be argued by some that Voldie is in fact a zombie and that he is not fully alive :)

  • Haha. It's kind of hard to argue with that logic.

  • Team Hank!

  • Team Unicorn. That is all

  • Team John!

  • 1:42. Really? They made 7 Harry Potter books? I don't know anything that have happened in HP since that hufflepuff student got killed. That's where I lost interest completely. YAY, I'm living in the safest place in the world!

  • I discovered someone a month ago that didn't know who killed Dumbledore. We mentioned it in casual conversation, and it BLEW his mind. It's what, five years after the last book came out? I'm both appalled that he hasn't read them by now, and amazed that nothing had been spoiled for him in that time...

  • a zombie os an dead creature that comes back to life, or a undead life, correct? So if drinking unicorn blood brings Voldemort back to a half-life, or however many fractions of a life due to his horcruxes (horcrux's?), wouldn't that mean that Voldemort is a zombie? Also, since he split up his soul he isn't really fully alive in his body, especially when his Horcruxes are destroyed. Ergo, zombies are the cause of all these deaths everyone is bringing up. Unicorns helped unwillingly.

  • and Fred also. not just Tonks and Hedwig but Fred was taken away from George. and i know that the argument is invalid because the hocrouxe's kept him alive, but they made him stronger so mabye that one detail would mix up the whole space time continum (sorry if i spelled that wrong) and they might of lived.

  • I would like it noted that unicorns are also useful for providing wand cores. Just sayin'.

  • @raphysantana Thank you for writing exactly what I was thinking much more eloquently and concisely than I ever could have.

  • First off your Unicorn keeping Voldemort alive argument is invalid because of the Horcruxes. Second off traditionally in mythology unicorns are healers and guides, so if the argument is whether zombies or unicorns are better based on what good they do then unicorns win.

  • in the Unicorn Tapestries series (apparently i am not even allowed to link to wikipedia) unicorns represent christ.

i'm not religious, but John is...

plus, i like other stories and mythologies featuring unicorns. they can be pretty awesome.

and it's hard to not like narwhals. they are pretty much the nerdfighters of whales- though... what whales aren't nerdfighters, really?

and i agree with the don't blame the victim argument down there

  • Even if Voldemort used the unicorn blood to make him stronger, he wasn't able to get his body back until GOF, and that was with the use of Harry's blood.

  • Without unicorns dobby would never be free, but this arguement is a doble sided sword dobby would have live longer but would have a terrible existencein which he suffers and punishes himself until he dies a painful death of old age. so the question is die young, happy, and a hero or old, sad, and in pain.

  • Even without the unicorn blood, Voldemort wouldn't have died because of the horcruxes and you can't blame to unicorn for having magical blood. It"s not like the unicorn offered its blood to save Voldemort. The unicorn isn't to blame.

  • The funny thing is that john edwards did turn out to be a bit of a schmuck.

  • Noooo!!! I just started watching all the vlogbrothers videos from beginning to end this week, and I thought I would actually be able to do it. Until I saw "WARNING THIS VIDEO CONTAINS HP7 SPOILERS". I, having never read the Harry Potter series, (and planning to later this year) cannot watch this video. I believe this means a two month break from vlogbrothers until I can finish not only my assigned school literature, but the entire HP series. Oh God.

  • @SidneyH27 BUT, thank you for the motivation to read my books for school. :)

  • I know this is a very old video, however I feel compelled to remind you, John, that you cannot blame a victim. Without going on a long tangent of victim-blaming and its effects, I just want to say that unicorns are born with blood that has the power to keep people alive, albeit creating an evil life. A unicorn that is killed for its blood is a victim and cannot be blamed for subsequent events such as Tonks's death.

  • totally convinced me to dislike unicorns.

  • yeah but if there were no unicorns then there would be no voldemort and then there would be no plot. not that i'm happy that Tonks is dead BUT we would have never have met Tonks if there was no Voldemort. THEREFORE: it comes down to this. Is it better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all?

  • Come to Finland. I don't know anything about Potter. So you can be safe here when the nuclear holocaust comes.

  • the unicorn blood didnt keep voldemort from dying compleatly that was the horcruxs. also the splitting and hiding of his soul was what made him half man half evil. without the unicorn blood voldemort would have still came back eventually.

he didnt have unicorn blood in albania, im pretty sure he only needed it to live inside quirril.

  • John: the joker is the free card, it's better than the king of hearts!

  • i didn't look for spoilers!

  • HP7 Spoilers avoided again! However there is now half a vlogbrothers video I won't see. Hm...

  • John, you seem to be ignoring the fact that Voldemort only needed the unicorn blood to maintain his meager physical form, not to stay alive. He was alive after killing Harry, but (presumably) had no physical form until he made a pact with Quirrel. He only needed the unicorn blood to keep up enough strength to possess Quirrel. So really, unicorns only (inadvertently) caused the death of Nicolas Flamel and his wife, not of Tonks.

  • its not the unicorns fault. if he had used phoenix tears instead you wouldnt hate Fawkes

  • Did you know that I had NEVER had anything harry potter spoiled for me? I read all the books and watched all the movies, but no one ever told me what happened! Isn't canada just a wonderful place? :D

  • I love Tonks! <3

  • today I was listening to the radio, and some guy was talking about game theory, and he said that john kerry wasn't elected because he was a bad poker player... yep

  • Equally, you have to remember that there were zombie-like creatures in the cave with the fake horcrux/locket. If Dumbledore hadn't had to save Harry from them he may have had enough power to get back to Hogwarts and be saved by Snape before getting defeated by Malfoy. So mabey zombies caused Tonks to die, starting by killing Dumbledore...

  • @TookItHomeToJenny But Dumbledore would have died anyway! Remember, he made a pact with Snivelus beforehand to have himself killed, and even before that he would have died from touching that horcrux ring. And besides, inferi are only quasi-zombies. Unicorns are sleaze-bags.

  • @TookItHomeToJenny Dumbledore was going to be killed by Snape whether or not he had enough power to to get back to Hogwarts any earlier.Dumbledore was dieing from the curse in his hand anyway and he wanted to be killed by Snape instead of being killed by Malfoy. The fact that the Inferi used up a lot of Dumbledore's strength has nothing to do with his death.

  • @TookItHomeToJenny so Dumbledore could have stopped Remus' death? Cause she went to her death following that. Foolish fool.

  • @Foolishyhuman Who is the fool? Dumbledore, Lupin, Tonks or me?

  • @TookItHomeToJenny you are because you are assuming that the entire battle for Hogwarts could have been avoided if Dumbledore had lived, which it more than probably couldn't have, it would only have been delayed until Voldermort realised Harry was after the horcruxes., he attacks,Dolohov kills Remus, Tonks goes to her death, what could Dumbledore have done?

  • @TookItHomeToJenny I think it was neccesary for Dumbledore to die in order for good to eventually triumph over Voldemort. I'm not sure Dumbledore would have allowed Snape to save him

  • I like zoombies beter because they tend to be in better stories, also they more effectivly highligh the human characters and are always a great socal metaphor. However, if it was a choice as to which I would like to locked in a room with or to take form in this reality unicorns are much nicer to hang out with, and are an effective form of transport...

  • To the Youtube and Nerdfighter Communities,

I as of this date -the 15th of July 2011- have sucessfully avoided reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and any subsequent spoilers til this day when it came out in the cinema.

Four years of no hp realted sites from fear of spoilers and erm, two years with this video unviewed in my saved pages.

    Amazing series! The best series!

Thanks JK for allowing me to grow up with something so awesome!

    { greatest quote ever }

    "Hmm, alas, earwax" =D.

  • john's argument would have been a lot more compelling if he could have used Rampant, but unfortunately it was not published in 2007...

  • It's not like the unicorns were allies with Voldemort, he killed them to get their blood.

    Unicorns are made of awesome.

    Zombies suck.

  • JOHN, get your harry potter straight. It was not the UNICORN BLOOD that kept him alive but his HORCRUXES. He didn't need the unicorn blood to stay alive and, quite certainly, he could have regained his body without it since the potion/spell he used did not require the blood of a unicorn. He drank the unicorn blood to regain strength while in his temporary body (both with Quirrel and creepy baby body).

So yeah, YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID.

  • @raphysantana YES

  • Oh yeah? Well, VOLDEMORT IS TECHNICALLY A ZOMBIE! Pwned! Unicorns ftw!

  • the unicorns themselves didn't try to help voldemort survive, in fact they have to die/get injured, so i think they'd regret being a part of voldemort's murders more than anything.

on the other hand, voldemort used zombies (inferi) to do his bidding and guard the horcrux. so zombies are worse.

  • WOOT I get to meet John green in the event of a nuclear Holocaust! And now I can read book 7.

  • you're blaming the victim for the criminal's actions? wtf?

  • even if there were no unicorns in the books, Voldemort still would have lived. don't forget, he had HORCRUXES. plus, why does being a fan of unicorns equate to being a fan of Voldemort? Voldemort's almost like the undead too! when his body is destroyed, he moves on to another one, until the 4th book when he gains a body of his own.

  • Technically, since Voldemort died, drinking the unicorn blood caused him to be undead. Therefore, Voldemort was a zombie. Also, the unicorn did not let Voldemort drink it's blood, so they did not willingly contribute to Tonks, Fred, and Hedwig (amongst others) dying. Unicorns FTW.

  • @supernerdy33 Do you think that Voldemort actually, yeah know, died? I think he got closer to dying than any muggle or wizard normally could have but was he dead dead? Also whether or not it was a willing participant is not the point. I think that maybe it could be phrased a little better by saying that John hates the existence of unicorns as opposed to the animal itself. (RIP Fred)

  • @7734undercover

Sort of. He didn't actually die the first time he and harry dueled, but when he was reborn in the grave yard, he had been dead. So he was a zombie. At least I think he was.

that might be what he thinks.

  • NOTE: Voldemort survived without the use of the unicorn blood. He was veryveryvery close to death though hence the whole no-body ordeal. He used Quirrel to GAIN STRENGTH from the unicorn not to become living once again. However, had he not used Quirrel to become stronger USING THE UNICORN, lost the stone, turned back to just getting a body, and etc. THEN indeed Tonks would not have died. So yes, Unicorns still killed Tonks. *tear*

  • @7734undercover I love nerdfighteria. People like you and I would be beaten senselessly for saying what you said two weeks ago. But nerdfighteria creates an enviornment where Harry Potter theories/overanalyzing is not a bad thing, but an awesome thing.

    DFTBA

  • BUT WITHOUT UNICORNS HP WOULD HAVE ENDED AT THE FIRST BOOK! and that would have destroyed the world. A world without Harry potter is not a happy world!

  • I am so for this! Tonks was my fav charcater! but the reason she killed Tonks and Lupin was cause she didn't kill Arthur Weasly in the fifth book cause she liked him to much. Arthur weasly sucks, Lupin and Tonks rock!

  • I don't really hate or like unicorns but you've ignored the fact that voldemort only needed to rely on unicorns because HE WAS ALREADY EVIL! and because you had politician-like arguments against unicorns I shall make it my goal to write a short story in which the Hero/Heroine/Person who(m? [When are those respective words used please explain!]?) everyone likes needs unicorns' blood to survive. THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR POLITICIAN(or extremist any religion)-LIKE ARGUMENTS! dftba.

  • Of all the characters who die in HP7, naturally John zeroes in on the manic pixie dreamgirl, haha.

  • i have avoided them and i live in italy and don't talk to people that much

  • I love your argument about how unicorns killed Tonks.

  • i'm reading the harry potter series now. (i know, my friends have informed me over and over how sad it is.)

and so far i've only gotten 2 spoilers. so... go me? i feel like that's a reasonable amount of spoilers since all my friends read it.

but, needless to say, i turned off this video. maybe i'll watch the whole thing once i finish the series. but... i'm only on chamber of secrets so... that may be a little while. >.<

  • Feels weird that I care more about killing Hedwig than Tonks

  • George Bush is a mean-headed decepticon

  • I've avoided the spoilers. Up until I saw the movie. I'm watching the movies first because I was way too young to start the books first.

  • HOW DID HE KNOW ABOUT THE SWITCH OF THE INFO BAR.... AGAIN?????

  • Voldemort was already technically undead before he ever murdered a unicorn to get stronger. He wouldn't have died w/o the unicorn blood. He just wouldn't have been able to go after the philosophers stone. Logic fail.

I'd rather be really dead than undead. Besides, I'm a young maiden. Unicorns like me. :)

  • But the unicorns didn't say HEY VOLDY! WANT SOME BLOOD? He had to murder them!

  • why is it that even though I read the book in like a day after it came out and probably everyone who wants to read it has read it, I still get uncomfortable when there are spoiler alerts and people discuss what happens in it? :D

  • HANK KILLED TONKS!!! D:

  • I have those cards!!

  • Good argument about unicorns...

But voldemort survived due to horcruxes, wormtail and luck

    Just sayin

Plus, zombies (which could be infiri) serve voldemort, which isn't that good, cuz they tried to kill Harry and killed regulus.

  • John, Voldemort "lived" because he had six Horcruxes, and accidentally made a seventh when he attacked Harry. Voldemort was sustained by the blood of unicorns in Harry's first year and the venom of Nagini (the snake Horcrux) in his fourth. Also, there are no "zombies" in the Harry Potter world. They're Inferi.

  • The point of Voldemort living off of unicorns is that it wasn't their fault. Therefore, UNICRONS ARE INNOCENT AND YOU ARE DOOMED TO LIVE A CURSED LIFE!!!!!

  • Oh god . . . Harry Potter 7 . . .

    *sobs uncontrolably*

  • YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT TONKS!!!!!!!!! NO NO NO NONONONONONONONO NOOOOO!!!! YOU SHOULD BE UPSET ABOUT THE SEPARATION OF THE TWINS!!!!!!!!

Sorry, caps rape over. It's just my philosophy that you don't kill off one twin without the other.

  • @aquadrop25 I know right? I was angry about Tonks and Lupin. But that was kinda romantic and maybe forgivable.

Killing one of the twins however, unforgivable. I was kinda furious with her for that.

  • @pienkunicorn Everytime I've read the Deathly Hallows after that first time, I have completely skipped over that part. If I didn't read it...it didn't happen. The first time never really counts.

  • I paused it once you gave your reason about the person avoiding spoilers of Potter 7.. Paused right on that. I've avoided it and it's 2011. I've seen part 1 of The Deathly Hollows. Havn't read any of the books (I WILL read them one day) and I still have not been spoiled. My house is safe yay! But now I am truly very sad that I cannot listen to the rest of the fued :( I shall favorite this and shall watch it once the second part of the movie comes out. Or read all of the books before then.

  • @DucLeJaques You've only watched the films...? Really? Man, you've got to read the books, you're missing out. The films kind of suck big time whereas the books are made exclusively out of awesome. Happy reading!

  • Unicorns also were responsible for Hagrid keeping his job as long as he did in OotP. Using your logic, you being anti-Unicorn also means you are anti-Hagrid's employment.

  • @machado231097 no it means you use strong words to talk about people you don't know.

  • WHAT THE HELL? YOUR THEORY IS SOOO OUT OF THE WAY!!! IT WASN'T VOLDEMORT HIMSELF WHO KILLED TONKS!!! IT WAS PROBABLY JUST A RANDOM DEATH EATHER! AND SERIOUSLY UNICORNS DIDN'T HELP DEATH EATHERS! I MEAN, IT WAS VOLDEMORT WHO FREED A LOT OF DEATH EATHERS FROM AZKABAN, BUT HE WOULD'VE FOUND ANOTHER WAY OF DOING IT WITHOUT UNICORNS!

  • @Emi183 Go back, read the books, then reconsider your comment.

  • @rikko338 I've read all the books at least twenty times each :)

    But thanks for your advice

  • OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I BEEN- GAHHHHHHHH I KILLED TONKS........

  • Sorry John, unicorns all the way!

  • *misses Hedwig

  • It is 2011 and my brother has neither read Deathly Hallows nor had it spoiled for him (yes, he does read Harry Potter and actually plans to finish the series). It's a herculean feat.

  • 0:00 - 0:05 DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE -- BROTHERS ON A HOTEL BED

  • Holy god!

It's like John knew the doobly doo will be moved!

  • Believe it or not but I avoiding HP 7 spoilers for 3 years until I read it (finally) this past summer. Now I've always been a fan of Harry Potter. But in 2007 I found myself occupied with other things and was unable to read more than the first few chapters. You are welcome to come to my house to be safe from a zombie apocalypse but it is probably not the best place, not many hiding places. DFTBA!

  • John, Voldemort practically is a zombie. He reanimates dead corpses to kill people. The only thing the unicorn did in Harry Potter was be too slow to run away and get killed: not exactly its fault Quirrell was able to successfully hunt it. For that, blame evolution.

  • Voldemort does not understand love of trust because he was conceived of a love potion. Just another reason why he is evil...

  • For some reason, I just rewatched this with Can You Feel the Love Tonight (Elton John) playing in the background.

I felt a little awesome, at least.

  • What? No, if it hadn't been unicorn blood, it would have been something else instead. Voldemort was a grasping, evil being, whose only objective was to live. Also Voldemort only needed the unicorn blood because of the travel+inhabiting Quirell both of which I'd imagine took quite a bit of energy. (Not to mention that zombies will kill you if they are hungry and not in a transforming people mood.) Besides the fact your argument was sort of shoddy I'm on your side. I've never been a unicorn fan...

  • Ah... classic vlogbrothers. I love the new videos, but sometimes the classics just really hit the spot. :)

  • John was able to foresee the future - he knew the dooblydoo would be moved to his pants.

  • But if unicorns didn't exist to keep voldemort alive then there wouldn't even BE a HARRY POTTER SERIES, ARE YOU AGAINST HARRY POTTER??!?

  • @wickedcoollike Harry Potter yeah kinda. Sorry Daeth eater here.

  • @wickedcoollike Technically, the unicorn blood was keeping Quirrell alive. Voldemort could not die because of his horcruxes. There is no doubt that the unicorn blood made him stronger. He would not have died without the unicorn blood, he just would not have had any hope of getting the sorcerer's stone.

  • @wickedcoollike Voldemort would have found a way to stay alive without unicorns because of the numerous life-extending things in harry potter. That has no base in this arguement of the living dead of nightmares and magical things that want to be horses but can't.

  • I have avoided HP spoilers until now. Seriously. I have.

  • @skaryrose Where Do You Live?

  • AHH! SPOILERS!!!

sorry dude. unicorns win. always. its not their fault they... oh no you just said Hedwig. Now I'm crying. Thanks.

  • Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I never heard a word about HP7 spoilers until I watched this video. It's an old person town by a lake. Booyah.

  • I'm not necessarily for unicorns... but it's not their fault their blood keeps Voldemort alive. If they decided, "yes, let's make our blood keep He Who Must Not Be Named alive long enough to make it tougher for the Boy Who Lived", then yes, it'd be their fault. But they didn't ask for it... to my knowledge. It's just an unfortunate association.

  • John, this is bulshit. And you know it's bulshit. Everyone knows unicorns > zombies, and that unicorns don't save villains.

  • i still havent read it or been spoiled for it and its 3 years later

  • I must say that I impressed myself when watching this video.

It's 2010 and I have managed to avoid Harry Potter spoilers for SO LONG that when I finally get hit with this one I have NO IDEA what he's talking about.

    Go me.

  • noooooo, zombies (inferi) WANTED to help voldemort and they helped voldemort rise to power and this made him abbel to kill Tonks and the unicorns didn't want to be killed so unicorns still are awsome and zobies are not!

  • @kittykattk But Inferi are just enchanted bodies! They don't have any control! There's no want involved there, or possibly even any feeling whatsoever. It's not their fault.

  • I'd rather be dead than undead. :/

  • Rest In peace, Tonks. ),:

  • Well come the nuclear holocaust my house is as safe as it gets for i own no Harry Potter books. Sorry

  • The unicorn didn't help Voldemort live, he attacked it and drank it's blood! It was innocent. Just because it was used by evil doesn't make it evil

  • Ah, I see, if someones/somethings blood is used to make Voldemort live, that person/thing is responsible for Voldemorts actions. I guess We should start a "We hate Harry Potter" club because his blood was used to regenerate Voldemort. Seriously, what the cabbage man?

  • it also lead to Fred's death. which is sad.

  • So....I know pretty much nothing about HP 7. Like, I know the epilogue was crap (cause we all know it was crap) but thats it. I haven't read HP 7 yet, and at the moment don't plan to because of the MOUNTAIN of books I already have. (Mockingjay, Paper Towns, and Looking for Alaska included.)

  • You get rid of unicorns, you kill the entire Harry Potter series.

  • Unicorns are better. I agree with the posts before me.

  • i would like to state that right now, i am a nerdfighter, a pretty big one, and have never read harry potter, avoided HP information and only watched 2 of the movies (i did find them very entertaining! ) Cold Lake Alberta is apparently the safest place!

  • voldemort is a zombie

  • voldemort is a zombie

  • Never read/seen most of Harry Potter, but I'm pretty sure I got that. :D

  • I'm eighteen, have been to numerous book stores, own loads of Harry Potter fanatical friends, am a Harry Potter fan myself and have not heard a single detail of HP7.

  • Never even read Harry Potter D:

  • but if unicorns hadn't kept Voldemort alive then there would be no Voldemort which means that there would be no Harry Potter books cuz without Voldemort the story is boring so the books would never have been published!!

  • John, I agree that unicorns should disarm and become normal horses, HOWEVER unicorns are not responsible for Tonk's death. Voldemort's horcruxes kept him alive, whereas the unicorn blood just made him stronger. I morn Tonks with you.

  • I like that you (John) say that unicorns are responsible for the death of Tonks and you're all about Tonks, but WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE!?! Lupin, Fred? C'mon dude!! Maybe you've got a thing for Tonks (or did seeing how this vid is hella old)? Don't tell the Yeti!

  • Edinburgh, Scotland

    no ive not read it

  • i just read it this year.............. i was way busy greencastle indiana in the middle of the corn

  • DUDE! HOW CAN U SAY THAT?! you hit a soft spot, man. no no no, see: hagrid likes unicorns. you said you like dragons, right? well, you and hagrid are in agreement, there, and if you and hagrid agree, then you have to like unicorns or you just don't like harry potter. plus, voldemort is basically a zombie. think about it.

  • I (Tamar) only finished HP7 mid-May. The only things that had been spoiled were

    1. The death of Hedwig

    2. Snape loved Lily

    3. Snape would (quite obviously) not remain headmaster of Hogwarts

    Safe place: Canada.

  • Ah, the days when we had to put HP7 spoiler alerts :3

  • :D october 10th is my brithday 10/10

  • Zombies can make you real dead, they can eat you...

  • I'd rather be really dead then undead, so I'd rather meet a unicorn in a forest. And unicorns didn't kill Tonks, that is like saying that if someone is killed and a bone is taken out of their leg and is used to beat someone else with the bone then the dead person beat the person who was beat.

  • I have avoided spoilers so far.

Looking forward to your visit in 2012, John

  • john, john, john, READ AVALON WEB OF MAGIC BY RACHEL ROBERTS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • but wait..if there were no unicorns...there would be no harry potter

  • bush is awesome so bcauseof that i like u guys a bit less and way to go obama! now when i grow ill hav a 200,000 Dollar deficit to pay off. Thats why i, even at 11yrs old im a conservative republican

  • im sure the unicorns didnt want to help Voldemort so he could kill Tonks.

  • Well then if there is a nuclear holocaust you will be going to basicly anywhere in North Dakota.

  • so yur comming to newton surry vancouver BC ?

  • I'm really not a fan of either! Ick! Though I love reading about unicorns.

  • Of all the characters, you pick Tonks? I'm a Dora fan, but really, you could've chosen Fred, Sirius, Remus, Mad-Eye, Dumbledore, etc. Or maybe even go with someone actually killed by Voldemort... say, I dunno, SNAPE! Technically he was killed by Nagini, but she contains part of Voldy's soul and was acting on his order, I count that as death by Mouldywart.

  • I have the safest house in the world against a nuclear holocaust?? Cos, I've managed to stay away from HP7 spoilers for a while...and haven't even read the book yet! Cool!

  • Comment removed

  • Good point. at first I was on unicorns side but now I'm thinking zombies.

  • There is 7 books about Harry Potter?

    WOW

  • Unicorns are awesome. They are like bees though. They are peaceful and beautiful creatures unless you try to hurt them in which the jab you wit their amazing horns of death. Also in Harry Potter the unicorns don't willingly give up their blood to Voldemort, Voldemort killed them for it, therefore it is not the unicorns fault for killing Tonks. Zombies are just dead people who walk very slow and are ugly so I am so team unicorn!!!!

  • actuallllllyyy....Inferi are pretty much zombies! who nearly killed harry and did kill Sirius' brother! and he unicorn isnt to blame for being so purley good

however, inferi are inherently evil b/c the only person that would re-animate a corpse would have to be evil

so yeah, sorry not being mean :( but your entire argument was only about 10% correct, and only there because unicorns DID in an inderict way from the species as a whole keep him alive

    i am such a geek...

  • but...... it's not like the unicorns were like 'yo voldemort here's ma blood help yo-self' didn't he kill them? or at least waited until the unicorn died and drank it then.... so i mean you can't really blame the unicorn for something that happened postmortem

  • While you have a good argument, the Inferi are pretty much zombies, and they kill loads of people too. I'm also on team Zombie due to your argument and that zombies make for good movies.

HARRY POTTER NERDS WROCK THE CASTLE.

  • The best part for me about watching this video is that its 2010 and I until now had avoided all harry potter spoilers for any of the books...

  • PROUD HARRY POTTER NERD

  • i still have no idea what happened in harry potter 7. & i dont plan to untill i decide to finally read it and come to the realization thats its over.

  • I don't care for Potter, but Voldemort drinking unicorn blood... That's pretty badass.

  • You've just reopened a wound. I JUST got over the fact that Tonks died.

    ... sad face.

  • St. Louis and or Atchison Kansas, but by spoilers, do you meran who died/lived, or more subtle nuances of plots... if the later, some, if the former, never mind.

  • That unicorn argument is so not a good one. The unicorns aren't responsible for Voldermort's evil because he killed them. That's like saying that the Jewish people in Germany were responsible for Hiltler's evil because he killed them. It's a ridiculous argument!

  • Hey,unicorns arent that bad...well maybe

    I used to like unicorns...

  • After I watched this video, I offical HATE unicorns. How dare they kinda but not really kill so many good people

  • I never even though of that! You didn't mention FRED! and Lupin! :'(

VERY crafty argument Mr. John Green. You appealed to our emotions. However, I believe the Unicorns to be innocent of the crime you accuse them of. You can blame the Unicorn for Voldemort's murders no more than a child can be blamed for ruining a parent's life just by existing. Neither asked to exist, and both are blameless in those respects. and I have to agree with the Inferi argument.

though, I think I'm still Team Zombie
