@07xex when you get the sound right, stick your wrist on your chin, so the position stays. keep doing it every night, in about 3-4 weeks, you'll be able to get it at nearly 100% success rate. all the best!

1) "wat" : Start with a small hole in the front of your lips. breathe in, and suddenly stop the air by moving your tongue to the top of your mouth.

2) "ter"; From the last position of "wat", simply move your tongue back down and continue to breathe in.

Wait you have to answer this question! You said that when you breathe into the crevice in your hand, there's air being forced out from the top and the bottom. But when you do the crab scratch, you suck in the air that should come from the top and bottom, correct?

For instance, I would breathe in (so that air comes in from the top and bottom) but then I need to breathe out after. Hence it sounds like a crab scratch followed by "blank" air.

I can't seem to say "toola toola" or "water water" because you have to breathe air out to say any word...so I'm confused.

1) whisper water outwards. (should be no problem)

2) right after that, whisper water while breathing in. so it becomes like you are breathing rhythmically, like

@bumsukify a common problem is in the lips..

1) try tightening your lips, as if you are ABOUT TO DO a bass drum

2) now, keeping the pressure there, separate the front of your lips really slightly.

This should be the lip positiion of the crab scratch. Try taking about one week to find your sweet spot, and another 3 or 4 more weeks to have a 100% success rate for the sound.

@Tombkingretr0 hm, every one has their different sweet spots, i think short thumbs shouldn't be a problem.. if the position i suggested is unconfortable, just form the most comfortable L shape that you can with your thumb and first finger, and find your sweet spot.

I experimented with using a "shorter thumb", and i realised my lips had to be much much tighter. hope that helps..
