  • Don't hate appreciate. I thought it was a good lesson thanks uncle Bryan and to all you haters screw you,you don't know how much effort he puts into these thing so if you don't like it well go find someone else k that is all I have to say

  • Yeah the notes are wrong. Listen to the song guys. Each note is so important, the low notes descend, like shreddinjoe says.

  • this is wrong..the low notes at the bottom of the arpeggios descend constantly..through all 4 figures

  • great stuff man.... thanks for sharing

  • An inspiring guitarist learns by ear....a lazy guitarist wants tabs

  • thanks dude you helped me with his video class!

    very thanks and congratulations

  • Actually @ 00:31 seconds you should play the 10th fret of the 3rd string not the second string, and @ 00:34 seconds you should play the 9th fret of the 3rd string instead of the string

  • I have a question. Are you playing it in 16th triplets or just 16th notes?

I want to make sure I get the rhythm right when i practise it with my metronome :P

  • SIR Plz teach picking in guitar solos........ i can't do picking properly when it comes to guitar solos ... [for example solos of dave mustaine and dave murray]

  • right im sick of people posting videos with "lesson" in the title just playing it slowly is not a lesson explaining what the notes are and what techniques are used is a lesson

  • @leeb55

    shut up

  • @leeb55 You want him to name every single note for you? He's slowing it down, that should be enough. If you want someone to name every single note for you, where to put your hands and what techniques you need etc. then obviously Bark at the Moon is way out of your league.

  • @leeb55 learn all the notes on the fretboard, look at which position he's in, find that note and use the right mode to play the song, he learned it by ear, go on, impress us

  • nice man, that looks easier than the way i've been trying to learn it! i like it when people are actualy trying to be helpfull, as opossed to just showing off!! not that theres anything wrong with showing off, thats what we all practice & work hard to do, but thanx 4 breaking it down..

  • FUCK YES

  • Great video! What are the notes/frets you are playing on the lower string B? Looks like 10th then 8th then you loose me.

  • Seriously, this is no big deal to write down in tabs as it is very short and repetitive. But yeah... thanks... I guess...

  • Great video.

  • half the notes are wrong

  • can you give me the tabs please to my email please

  • @darkeith sorry bro I don't have tabs for this, I learned it by ear. I have nothing against tabs they're a great tool for learning. I would try Songster.com if I were you. Hope I helped you!

  • Can u show at least a little slower or tell us were the notes are

  • good job on a great solo, congrats

  • where did you learn to play this solo

  • @awsumbeagle I learned it by ear.

  • If you watch the live vid, you will see that in the outro solo during the third part, Jake E frets his index finger at the 10th fret (F) on the G string and uses the 13th and 17th frets on the B string. There are easier ways to play it without having to deal with the stretch laden calisthenics, but that's what he does. It "looks" pretty cool.

  • Watch the live video with Jake E lee. You get an idea of the theoretic basis for it all. He plays a harmony lick along with the one on the studio recording.

  • What do you need to be able to play this solo because I play this solo on my guitar and it sounds nothing like this

  • @AlexJasso100 talent

  • @rickyjshiznit man iguess thats it

  • @AlexJasso100 lol sorry bout that. i was probly pissed baout sumthin. to answer your question, it just takes practice and eventually youll get it. start slow then work your way up to full tempo.

  • kill the delay, it eclipses your talent . . . .

  • that was awesome~

  • wow dude you literally got tired of speaking in the beginning :P but you play great, thx for the lesson...

  • Sounds good to me!!

  • @blackmiroz Even if this IS wrong, so what? It sounds damn good and perfect to me, and i dont see your video explaining otherwise?

Hell of a job on this "how to" video! I have been wanting to learn this lick for some time now.

  • nice job sir.. :)

  • This comment is part 2 of my huge comment....lol. What I was saying was the last very fast part goes something like this:13\12\10 12\10, the go to the 2nd string and play 13\12\10 12/13\12\10 8 then 3rd string 9 then back to the 2nd string and end on 10. That's how I play it and I know that it's close to the real solo.

  • Just a few things, in the very beginning of the solo it goes 8 \7 7 7 8 \7 8\ 7 7 7. Then it goes through just like he played in the rest of the solo. At the real fast part that is played the first time goes something like 13\12\10 12\10, then go to the 2nd string and play 13\12\10 12/13\12\10 8 then 3rd string and play 9, the go back to what he teaches. The last very fast part goes something like this:13\12\10 12\10, the go to the 2nd string and play 13\12\10 12/13\12\10 8 then 3rd string 9

  • thank you sir! i can play outro solo using your knowhow. but last phrase is not yet. very fast.. ; (

  • Kewl, that answers so many questions, I've had over this song, I even had Speedy West listen to this song and he didn't know how to play it "SPEEDY WEST"!!

  • that was kick ass, check out my page I might put some useful things in there soon, but right now it's just garbage lol, well, I try, thanks dude

  • its wronngggggggg

  • Well done...a couple notes are inn error though.

  • what tuning does your guitar have to be on to play that song?

  • it's in standard tuning.

  • U're the BEST man!!U've shared something BRILLIANT to everybody..May GOD BLESS U..:)

  • thanks,, this part was the only thing i needed to complete this song

    thanx

  • thank you so much dude!

  • Hi! Very good. Can you tell me the setting of your amp ...gain an other to achieve this song. The kind of amp and so on. Thanks!

  • thank you very much sir!

  • i love that one video where he plays it live and starts playing a harmony the second time through the lick...

  • I forgot how to play it, thanks for the reminder! (been 17yrs, ouch!)

  • You have no idea how much you just helped me thanks heaps.

  • Great job!! One of my favorite endings ever to a an even better song. That solo is wild! It's sounds so fluid and intense. Thanks for sharing it brother. I was confused on the middle of that when he starts the scale justbefore he starts the hammer on trill again. Thanks again and keep rocking!!

    Peace!!

  • yessssss thanksssssss

  • thanks for the awesome lesson mate! Now the song is complete!

  • nice..I enjoyed. If I get some question surly will contact with you.

  • Nice job, and thanks for your personal invite to help those who might be having problems.

    Peace bro!

  • you rock man

  • thats a good job done

  • great lesson bro....thanks!!!

  • I want to see how to play that with one hand while drinking a Corona in another.

  • Just hold the bottle in your teeth and lean your head back!

  • @barberryman can you get rid of the chorus and delay and just add a splash of reverb next time?

  • @barberryman lamo :D

  • @barberryman Haha funny visual

  • Thanks bro!

  • He's somebody who had the balls to post to try to help the viewers learn a song - I love donkeys like you who post negative feedback about guitarist posts yet have no uploads of your own playing

  • you got the notes right, but this is not the way Jake plays it. If you watch him live he plays it higher up the neck and has some insane streching going on. Bet you know that tho. Great lesson

  • Just to let everyone out there know, there has been some questions about the accuracy of the third and fourth arpeggios I'm playing. I learned this by ear and therefore it is just like I said at the beginning of the video, its' my take on this outro. I have played along with the original recording of the song and it sounds correct to me. In any case it is still a good lesson on economy picking. Thanks for all of your comments!

  • would be nice if you explained it step by step, for example which fretts nd stuff. Kinda a beginner but this doesnt look too hard really. Pretty sure i can get it down with a bit of a slower lesson =) would really appreciate it if you could do this for me, and im pretty sure theres others who would be interested too. Thanks =)

  • great job

  • Thanks for the video, appreciate the tutorial - Since i am working on the solo on bark right at the moment. Cheers !

  • I don't think the 3rd and 4th arpeggios are correct dude.

  • I'm 99.99% sure they are correct.

  • they are

  • thanks man ive been trying to learn this forever

  • Simply great!!

  • man this guy helped me alot!!!!!!!!!

    thanks barberryman

  • i have never seen it played like this. i like it. keep rockin dude
