  • cool design you should try and make another type

  • But can it blend?

  • he nailed it!~!

  • can i buy it from you?

  • make knifes on it :D

  • EPIC!!!

  • Its so cute!!

  • i race r/c cars so i has all this stuff off hand

  • hi im just new to robotics and i have a question how do you connect both servos onto one toggle stick on the remote and also can you do the same with more than 2 servos

  • enter it in robot wars

  • How did you connect the frying pan to the motor??

  • @theaustralianis I drilled a hole in the center of the pan and used the nose cone from a model airplane I had

  • @rctennisbum but how did you attach the motor to the nose cone? I have motors here but they have no tread to screw anything on to them?

  • @theaustralianis the nose cone I used had a clamping washer type design, the shaft of the motor had no threads...just the beam. the cone assembly should contain 3 pieces

  • @theaustralianis I drilled a hole in the center of the pan and connected it to the motor's shaft using a nose cone from a model airplane

  • cool combat robot man 5* how much is the total cost for all parts for this robot?

  • Dud i think is badd ass but i want to make one but i dont knoe and dont have the things to build it nice good job

  • best beyblade ever

  • You better clean that mess up, or else your mom is going to hold your allowance.

  • Or...duct tape a kitchen knife to a Roomba.

  • @maximylyanovich GREAT IDEA

  • Teflon Titan Attack!!!!!!!

  • Home made Ankle popper.lol

  • I just had the best idea ever. someone should use this as a prank, like put it in a cupboard and when someone goes to pick it up you could shread there hand to peices with it.

  • cool robot man :D 5* how much is the price for this robot to build it??

  • If your robot hits something, it would tear that motor straight off its mount.

  • iv got a 6ch radio at home digital system

  • All this dirt on your bed... I wonder how you will sleep later.

  • awesome i want to build a robot but i don't know how and i learned alot from this video

  • I made a mini Battlebot too it only weighed 341 pounds and we only invested $2804 on it!

  • I made one but yours is more deadly

  • I would thumbs, if I didn't knew that this machine is gonna conquer the world and kill my family....

  • 1:58 atach the frying pan... of deth

  • really cool you shud call it mini mauler lol !!

  • I spotted the wood the first time thanks,

  • you should make another one and have a frind fight against the original

  • well its got a hell of alot of defense. XD

  • if u want to enter that thing into a battle add more bolts like 2 on each side and some on higher then the others

  • u should put self taping screws on the pan so it will cutt right through it

  • Is That a 3lb robot???

  • hay it makes junk mail go away with just 1 2 3

  • i rlly want to make my own but i dont know where to start were should i?

  • try bigger wheels for better speed too :) (but not to big, you know what i mean?)

  • Is that a pair of Himax motors I see? :P

  • Wow, that's amazing. and all in less than 30 mins. I'm impressed. :) Keep it up, good sir! I hope you can build some other types of battle bots. It's hard to find a good robot tutorial even on google, but you... you've made my day. :D

  • that could win millions of championships

  • instead of bolts im going to buy 2 rubber hammers bolt them into the pan and drill holes and out hotwheel cars on the hammer so it will spin around

  • whats the name of those types of robots?

  • It is an antweight due to it's mass, it is also a full body spinner.

  • it's a spinnig shell robot not a full body spinner,

a full body spinner spins the whole robot

  • you should put razors on it LOL

  • That thing is lethal

  • ..and try on cats

  • does anybody know of a Speed Controller

that can use up to 3 motors and doesn't need any Soldering ?

  • i have tried to plan to make a battle bot but it is way to complicated. is there a way i can make a bot under 100$ assuming i have no electronics?

  • You would have to enter a lighter weight class. I tend to build 150g UK ants for many years and the most I have spent is $60 (roughly £30). If you keep your design simple and try to keep a tight budget then I don't see why not.

  • @uppercutter450 hi where did you get stuff in UK ? i live in uk but i couldnt find any electronic store if you know any internet shops please tell me the name of it

  • @kuba651 I live in Plymouth and mostly use parts from three places, all internet shops:

    1. Sussex model center (batteries, servos, radio gear ect.)

    2. Technobots (speed controllers)

    3. Precision microdrives (motors)

However, the best advice for any new builder is to join a forum (the robot wars 101 forum for ants) there is the best advice from builders even more experienced then me, or even more cost cutting measures such as borrowing transmitters during events, which can save you £50-100.

  • Excellent tutorial!

What kind of batterys do you use?

  • hi is the motor for the spinning blade like a servo conection

  • you should glue a sawblade to the top!

probibly do more damage than bolts.

  • got any vids of it fighting?

may i suggest better teeth, get 1-2mm steel sheet and bend it at about 70degrees, cut a tooth shape at the horizontal part with ur dremel and bolt the almost-vertical part to your shell. it is 'almost' bent 90degrees coz ur shell is on an angle.

tell me if you don't know what im saying :P

  • lol destroy an egg

  • Can you buy this all online or in a store?

  • How much does making this all cost? you might of said it in one of the videos but i just scimmed through them cause i dont wanna start without knowing how much ill have to spend

  • I had most of these components just laying around the house, so it only cost me the price of the pan. But if you were to buy all this new, it can easily cost up into the thousands for the higher quality setup. This robot should only cost about $300-$400 without the radio possibly less if you do some hunting and find some good deals.

  • thanks

  • @rctennisbum to make that robot look awsome you should extend the side spinning spikes/ paint it/ and polish it

  • you should instal a light on the botom so that you can tell where the front is.

  • Thats a great idea, I think I will.

  • You don't even need a light, just a piece of something sticking out from under the top.

  • How does it balance on two wheels on its own or is it just a third wheel under

  • There are actually small pieces of wood soon to be ball bearing casters supporting the front and back of the subframe.

  • ok nice work

  • holy shit thats awesome

  • how much do you want for the robot?

  • if u can weild spinks to the sde the pure carnage

  • how much did u end up spending

  • That's pretty cool, cool job and thanks for the vid ")

  • very well done.. thanks for a great how-to.

  • thank u so much im nearly finshed my robot just for da frying pan all credit goes 2 u

  • Could videos, however, spinning your robot up on your bed = Not smart... :) even at low speeds these things could easily chop off a finger.

You going to enter it into any events? I looks like it might be competitive. What weight class is this???

  • The bed is actually an old air hockey table that does not work. Yeah thinking about it, there is a competition coming up next summer in SF CA. Not sure of the weight class, I've modified it a few times since this vid and the weight has nearly doubled.

  • good job

  • hey guy i want to make batttle bot if any 1 i want to make one for me plese do so

  • If you give me 500 dollars I'll make a very good Antweight robot (1 pound)

If you give me 10,000 dollars I could probably make a heavyweight for you.

  • nice man i just getting in the battle bots but i need a better transimitter batter and ideas

  • Transmitters, if you are going to use metal, I recommend 2.4Ghz, like the Spektrum. They have far less problems with interference and better reception even in metal casings.

  • Put a LAND MINE ON IT! jk put a bunch of spikes on it :D

  • It depends on how much of the robot you would want. The electronics are not cheap, just the blue motor and speed controller that power the weapon would cost more than $100. The radio system I need for my other Planes and Bots. Tell me how much of it you would want and I'll give you a price.

  • I'll pay 120 for it

  • Are you serious? The brushless (blue) motor and speed controller cost over 100 dollars the servos are probably 20 dollars a piece and the radio system probably costs 150+ dollars...

  • whens your next vid cause i want to see a battle with that thing :D

  • I'm not really sure, right now I am in the process of building another robot. If you would like I can post a vid of it throwing around some cans and bottles.

  • k that would b tight

  • Could you please post a video of it tearing up styrofoam cups and plastic bottles (glass bottles would be cool, too).

If you want to test it against another robot's armor try using small pieces of polycarbonate, wood, and thin aluminum (or any metal laying around the house that is thin).

  • If the price is right I'll consider it.

  • dude was that at low speed omg im so building one weaker then your but still a robot

  • That was in fact at low speed with a half dead battery. I think I had the stick at just under 1/4 throttle. Good luck with your project.

  • Looks really nice , try fixing some kind of disc to the motor-shaft , providing more than one anchon point for the frying pan.

    Good work os far :D

  • Thats a great idea, I'll do just that, appreciate the help.

  • Just glad to be of help 8D
