To be a basketball player, you have to be tall or you're no competition, in american football you have to be a muscle pack or else you get tackled down easily and baseball...well...thats just boring. south americans/latins are known for diving and europeans are known for whining... pretty sure everyone knows that. Unlike you, I actually watch the MLS and the American/Canadian born players rarely whine and dive as opposed to the europeans/south americans/mexicans who whine and dive all the time. I just watched New York play last week and the guys that did all the whining and flopping were Henry, Marquez and some Estonian guy. Coincidence? don't think so.

only reason why "football" is the most popular sport in the world is because its pretty much the most cheapest and easiest to play! Football sucks ass! Buncha wimps and pussy's who cry and roll on the ground after every challenge. I am not really an NBA fan either but I find watching Lebron or Kobe dominate a game is much more exciting then watching Christiano Renaldo run around in a ridiculously huge field for 90 minutes so he can end up with 1 or 2 shots on goal if hes lucky.

cheap? tickets cost £40 at the very cheapest. Easiest? You 'avin a laugh? 1 or 2 shots? Football is entertainment, skill, and the biggest sport in the world for a reason. Basketball is just a bunch of Americans shootin' some hoops. Its boring as hell and the taller you are, the higher you can jump, the better you are...simple. In football, even if you're slow, small, you can still be good.

@uuchoob actually basketball is quite popular in europe too and its not an easy game either but i know what you're getting at. To be a basketball player, you have to be tall or you're no competition, in american football you have to be a muscle pack or else you get tackled down easily and baseball...well...thats just boring. In Football, you can be tall, have a six pack but you dont have to have those things. All you need is the skill in that game which anyone who wants to can learn.

In association football you need incredible conditioning and stamina. Just because you don't have to be the biggest, fastest or strongest, doesn't mean you don't have to be a world-class athlete.
Also, in basketball you could still be a great point guard if you're not so tall.

Hockeys better thn Soccer/football fast pace game physical smaller area so it more interesting then lobing a ball halfway down a field just to get it cleared and in hockey the goalie actually saves most of the shots on goal

But you are correct in that, compared to top-flight European leagues, MLS would fall into the Championship/Serie B/2nd Bundesliga range. Most of us aren't delusional about our standing within the footballing world -- that's why Premier League matches played on weekend mornings get better ratings here than MLS matches played during primetime. :-D

Let's be honest, the MLS isn't as good as most 3rd league teams in European countries, so I can why you must think the whole sport sucks. It's also about the Ooo's and Aaaa's.
