  • John Norums version is better

  • @TheKeessar love both but hughes way over norum

  • Gosto d vr Genn assim, mais progressivo, tipo quando stá com Geoffrey Downes, phenomena, etc;

  • I find all this keyboards make just a Kaos. I prefer the version in John Norum's album "face the truth". Glenn's voice was great in every song.

  • I was buying Trapeze albums way before Deep Purple...Been a big fan of Glens since Trapeeze "You are the Music, We are the Band" and the killer "Medusa" albums...Deep Purple...etc....RIP TOMMY BOLIN who I started loving since him and Glenn teamed up in Deep Purple...Bolin's 'Teaser

  • Fabulous!

  • you're all wrong...Gillan is the best..you know why? couse I SAY SO!!!!

(come on who cares who's the best, just enjoy music)

  • you're all wrong...Gillan is the best..you know why? couse I SAY SO!!!!

  • @vhooraz Who is Gillan, soccer player? Tennis? better or quicker applies in sport only... you do not like, you go away and do not live your dirty comments behind....

  • Fantastic tune. Very impressed! thanks for posting.

  • The voicEST of Rock

  • der mann ist einfach genial

  • @Teratop genau, glenn ist wunderbar :)

  • Die Stimme des Rock . 4 ever .....

  • Listen to this on the John Norum solo albums it is even better.

  • This is Glenn with Phenomena

  • wow. its really hard to find phenomena out there. someone should post their songs on youtube and project playlist. theyre one of the best bands out there by far

  • VOICE OF ROCK!!!!!!

  • very good song cowritten with John Norum (Europe) on guitar. Glen Hughes sure deliver!

  • co-written with Pat Thrall during the hughes/thrall days!

    But re-recorded with Norum though.

  • It's one of the facts of life: Glenn Can Do No Wrong!

  • Glenn ....Exlent ♫♪ ♫♪ ♫♪ ♫♪..........

  • uauuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!que cancion!!! que gran epoca de la musica!! que gran epoca!! gracias Glenn por todo esto que eleva el alma a los lugares mas inospitos de la musica!!!

  • i think first and best verison.

  • A song from the Phenomena's album, isn't it ?

Trapeze, Play me out, Hughes & Thrall...

    Glenn Rules !!!

  • John Norum o Glenn Hughes?:S

  • Theres also a good version of this track on John Norum's "Face The Truth" album with Glenn singing (he sings on most of the album).

Face The Truth?:S

  • the voice of rock

  • @GrandiLive

Great voice but The voice of rock......? Coverdale must be the voice of god in that case.

  • @Alhambrattp Yes Glenn is the voice of Rock....Coverdale NO.

  • @Alhambrattp Hughes can still do it today, even better than before. Coverdale is finished. Admittedly a great voice in his time, Hughes+Coverdale=awesome. Probably the best rock vocal collaboration.

    Hughes=VOICE OF ROCK!!

  • @diner69

You obviously haven't heard Coverdale since Purple. Hughes does not sing today like he did then or better no one does...it's stupid to even suggest. To say Coverdale is finished proves what a total idiot you are and your lack of musical knowledge. If you put Hughes library of music against Coverdale's.....it's obvious (Coverdale FTW). Hughes has an amazing voice don't get me wrong, now if he could write more than three good songs on his own.....

  • @Alhambrattp You have absolutely no idea of what my musical knowledge is and your personal attack is abit low. I have seen DC sing live in '83 and up to last Monday (not good) and I think I can say that he does not have IT! I am NOT taking anything away from a man who has given so much to music, just saying it how I see it. Song writing, we are talking about singers. Did Pavarotti write his own music? Totally different thing. VOICE of rock. Peace \m/

  • @diner69

Again all that is just your opinion as a Glenn Hughes fanboy, your talking like what you say is factual. I saw Coverdale a month ago and thought he was awesome, then saw some live stuff from Hughes and thought it was sub-par. Go figure. Songwriters yeah, as in Coverdale wrote all his own stuff and sang the fuck out of it unlike 99% of manufactured, talentless, shat out products today. Your bit about singers don't have to be songwriters....I again question your musical integrity.

  • @diner69 The voice is an instrument that takes years to perfect and Hughes has obviously looked after his. GH can do today what he did then and more. This cannot be said about may singers from that era. Library? GH has done far more than DC. They are two entirely different singers. And GH has much more left in him too. Do you sing? Whats your musical knowledge, in the mechanics of vocal ability I mean? Maybe you could share your knowledge with me? After all I'm just an idiot, right? Peace \m/

  • Awesome song!!!

  • What an asshole you are...

  • Glenn Hughes...My Idol!

  • One of the greatest voices in rock!

  • Wonderful voice so crisp and clean that is. :)

  • Though mr. Hughes where in deep addiction to cocain during this time he still kept his wonderful so crisp and clean. It's amazing! He really got a gift from God.

Thanks to his experience in the hospital bed he did survived even if his heart almost stopped. Thanks to JC he is alive and well today and keep on giving us his wonderful soul through his music!

    God bless you, Glenn.

  • This guy has such a BEAUTIFUL VOICE. I'd love to surround him with my bliss and make love with him forever. OH, those lips. OH, those eyes. To me, he is God. Glenn is obviously an Archangel! FYI he's been clean and sober for many years.

  • Haha, my dad sat right next to him on an airliner. He had no idea who he was:P

  • no! just kidding.. composed by Huges and Thrall...;)

  • I thought this was a song that John Norum composed and Hughes sang in his CD for him....

  • You'r right. Composed by John Norum..

  • Nice song! And yes it is Cozy Powell that Plays the drums. Bless his soul!

  • Very good song. I love Glenn. Too bad he is so underrated, I would guess because he doesn't play the typical record company game. Thanks for posting, as I've never heard this song before. Have you ever heard him sing "All Messed Up" by Garry Moore? It's avaliable on the CD "Garry Moore - The Early Years" which I have.

  • Garry Moore..? lol;-)

Partly because of what you call ''the record company game'' But thats only a small part.

The main reason being his heavy drug use. When he shoulda' been proving himself after leaving DP he sorta' got stuck at the pubscene level. Such a shame..:-(

The drugs sidelined him for the better part of the 80's. That lasted until the early 90's when Anders Tegner cleaned him up and put him in rehab. A kickstart to the rebirth of his career that still holds to this day.

  • have you heard of TRAPEZE,HUGHES/THRALL,BLACK SABBATH he played with all of them!!!!!!!!!oh and THE GLENN HUGHES BAND!!!!!

  • It was My answer to The Question: Why is he underrated in he publics mind.

Trapeze, H/T and the GH band can't count because they were all his own bands. And the only reason(except the GH band)they are now known is because He played in DeepPurple. What I mean with underrated is that he could have created something to overshadow that fame, had his focus not been on drugs.

He never sang with The Sabbs, only Tony Iommi.Though the album had to be a called a Sabbath album bcause of the record deal.

  • But thanks for your input!

  • your welcome and his own bands DO COUNT!!!! do me a favor and type in Glenn Hughes-Medusa then let me know what you think.I was playing trapeze on guitar in 1970 when i was ten and still play it today!!! click on my name sjuozhunki and let me know what you think there too!!!

  • How the hell could you forget to mention Purple ;-)

  • cuz i'z dumber that a bag of hammers and a taco short of a combination plate-THAT'S HOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Have you heard the first version that he made for hughes/thrall?

I think it's amazing, probably the best.

  • No, but now that you said that, I guess I have another album to buy. Thanks a lot!

  • I would love to hear it. Where can I do that? :)

  • you can find it in the latest version of the hughes/thrall album. there is also another unreleased song in this cd..

  • What??? I gotta buy it again??? LOL! Thanks. Will check it out. :)

  • haha!!! I've got 2 copies af that album too!!

  • This is the Tom Galley produced Phenomena album version with Glenn's Trapeze buddy Mel Galley on guitar.

  • Thanks for the post, I haven't heard this song in so many years! Didn't Cozy play on this album? I guess not on all tracks because I'd bet my bottom dollar that's not Cozy. The riff at 2:17 gives that away. Anybody???

  • It's actually Ted McKenna on that track! He did a couple of tracks on the Phenomena album. This and Who's Watching You.

  • This is the Phenomena version but is not the final version from the album. Some of the backing vocal tracks are missing from the first half of the song. Still... a nice post.

  • Glenn has a great voice, I prefer the version of this song on the John Norum album

  • This is actually the group "Phenomena", Glenn Hughes is the lead singer. This is on the debut album, which is fantastic.

  • The song in a slightly different version is on John Norum's album "Face The Truth"
