  • im learning all this for combat control in air force

  • need to do this for life guard course. dam

  • Good. Thanks for this video. Need it for SEAL training. I read though that a variation you can use during SEAL training is the freestyle stroke. Is this true?

  • i need this for combat control school my last year of high school and i need to perfect this

  • need this for BUD/S preparation

  • this is the one thing that i need to work on more for the seals. i like swimming but i never realized how challenging it could be without swimming long distances properly. all seals and swcc have my upmost respect. congratulations on being a badass

  • im not quite seal material.. at least mentally thats why i came here cause i want to be in SWCC

  • @yeahstaygnarly yeah i want to be in SWCC too

  • Thumbs up if you came here because you want to be part of SEALs

  • I have to do this in Bronze Medallion tomorrow. I'm going to pick apples like no other.

  • I'm training for the navy seals right now and it's 500-yard swim in under 12:30 and this is one of the swimming ways to qualify for the seals. it's iether the "Side stroke (the one im training with) or breast stroke" so wish me luck hehe Navy Seals baby

  • @evilmage161 good luck

  • i was wrong all along.. thanks for the video. very helpful.

  • this is cool but the SEALS don't use it unless its for rescue. they use the combat swimmer stroke when they refer to side stroke

  • @underarmour64243 To even qualify you have to do a 500yrd swim in 13minutes this way though.

  • @underarmour64243 the combat swim stroke is basically the same as the sidestroke aside from breathing pattern. either way, both are very helpful

  • nice.

  • i watched this for the SEALS

  • Oh I swim like this all the time in the pool. I didn't know it was a special stroke. That's pretty cool.

  • Funny cause I'm using this for the Air Force Special Tactics

  • @IRockPplsSox PJ?

  • going out for Dive, gotta do this or breast stroke. guess I should practice both and see which I like better.

  • i keep going underwater....

  • need this stroke to qualify for seals

  • exactly.

  • @USMCsoundoff What do you think of the SEAL PST? are you able to do all of it yet?

  • @USMCsoundoff same here bro haha

  • @USMCsoundoff I think I'm gonna need this stroke to pass Army OCS also. I have to carry my M-16 across the pool, I assume this is the best stroke for that. Good luck qualifying for the SEALS!

  • @USMCsoundoff yeah me too

  • @USMCsoundoff thats why i'm here

  • @USMCsoundoff me too

  • i too have to learn this for air crew also the crawl and breast stroke

  • I'm training for aircrew (navy) and have to pass a class 2 swim exam, so from what I've gathered, I need to learn this along with the breast and crawl stroke. I'm going to the beach today to start putting what i've learned (via youtube) to practice. Thank you for the help.

  • that's a coincidence. i'm actually going to try and pass my class 2 swim for aircrew tomorrow! good luck to you!

  • Interesting Im learning this for the Navy.
