@SAINTsoldi i would only recommend you buying either one of those if you already have a pretty good amp.
anyway, tonewise, this is the exact same as the gt10. they dont really worry about making the tone any better. I'd buy the line6.
if youre only looking for effects since you already have a pretty good amp, id buy a gt10. i wouldntreally spend the extra 100 bucks or whatever for this gt100
I wonder if this is the true successor for the GT-10. I have seen very little about the GT-100 but the "amp effects processor" name makes me wonder if it's just focused in amp modeling or the modeling is a great extra for the unit while keeping all the GT-10 effects and features.
Also, I see here or maybe I am wrong, that the 1-4 pedals serve not only (or not anynore) as patch changers, but for adding effects in the same patch (like previous ctr pedals in the GT10).
A true 80's guy:) Wonder if you can really get all that sustain from the pedal, or if they have additional gear going with it? Honestly, from the solo channel alone, I think it blows any pod, or crappy-ass stomp-box away. Sorry, not a big fan of the whole amp modeling, bring back the 1960's forever type of crap! Technology is good and it's time to move on!!!
Btw, am I the only one who realizes that a F.strat is NOT the only guitar on the market? Damn, people! They're really not all that!
yeah great organic heavy sound. Just kidding> malmsteen wannabe. I hope it sells good in japan but doesn't sound that good from the other boss models...should scratch everything they did in my oppinion and not just improving it.
Amazing player, but I would have much rather seen demos of the new amp models than hear shredding with a backing track.
I have seen a few demo videos for this and they always feature clean sounds and super effected shredding sounds...nothing in the middle...no overdrives, crunch, no meat and potatoes classic rock sounds, so I am assuming at this point that they didnt really improve any of that. Instead, you get the Accel pedal, which no self respecting player would use in a million years.
@dan0311 yeah thats true, Thats why, for multieffects i prefer Zoom. And about the accel shit thing they put, Im only thinking of two ppl that would use it. Video game musicians, i dont know how theya re called, and maybe Gilbert, but gilbert only uses pro but simple to use stuff.
This professional east Los Angeles lead-rhythm Californian guitarist,is really mega enjoying and delighted with the new Axe Fx II by Fractal Audio Systems. ( High Speed Midi over USB & Amp modeling with Virtual Vacuum Tube technology)
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years but I can't stand what I call guitarists guitar music !! widdly widdly pish , let us real band player here the amp models , and as usuall well ignore your digital crap
I have a ME-70 and a GR-55 and they are GREAT! But this GT 100 doesn't add anything really interesting in my opinion... and maybe too early for another BOSS MultiFX? (for those who always yell "get a real amp and stomp boxes" please don't even watch and comment these videos, thanks)
Boss deleted my coments about their CRAPY flagship! COSM sounds and smells like shit! Get yourselves a real amp or a nice multifx, not this piece of junk.
This can make every Boss multifx sound like the same lame cocked wah! But what can he do? Boss just releases these crapy COSM powered pieces of junk. I was hoping they did more this year, but, I gave up on them, Line 6 all the way!
I love Rob Marcello - he's a real musician. If you watch his previous NAMM performances from years ago, it's clear that he's continuing to progress as a guitarist and keeps getting better and better. Much more listenable than that annoying fuck of a clinician Johnny DeMarco who has been spamming the same riffs for years and years.
@projectgoatse And he was in Danger Danger!! But I disagree about Johnny De Marco, his demos are awesome!! He likes to say 'awesome' a lot and 'all right!' and talks to his effects units like he wants to make love to them! Very funny!
Of Course Marcelo has to say is a good pedal like he said for the gt-8 and gt-10... Cause Boss is paying him but at the end is not like the pod hd500 in sound more realistic!!! IS THIS A DEMO or SHOW OFF? ITs sucks... he should us show a variety of styles and chords not just shredding which it doesnt make sense at all!!! I HATE BOSS NOW FOR ITS SLOW COMPETTITIVE OF MULTI_EFFECTS!!! Open you eyes BOSS! LINE 6 IS GETTING BETTER !!!
Cool Song Tho! I'd like to have the music haha! However, doesn't show much new.. looks more limited compared to the GT 10 as far as the stomp pedals on board.. and the features he was using are already accomplishable on the GT 10
I really would have like to have a demo of an actual guitar sounding tone like a fender style into a class A tube amp and a tube screamer. Not this mario brothers tone.
Oh, and I almost forgot. FUCK YOU SWEETWATER. I left two messages with your sales department because I had questions about my Boss RC-50 and no one has called me back.
@theverbalrelease Gotta love how these days men appear more feminine with bitch like "attributes" by gossiping or critiquing people, places or things without a more competitive or tangible alternative to their bitching, but just bitching or complaining alone. Sounds like theverbalrelease is a classic example of today's kind of "men."
boss totally dropped the ball here. no dual processors.. nothing really new.. no pc editing inter.. and the amp modeling wasn't what I liked about my gt-10 at ALL. LAME. Back to the drawing board, Boss. Try looking at line 6 and maybe you'll at least be heading in the right direction.
Rob is a monster player...I see him at the B-3 Guitar shows, and he is always super nice, and super playing any guitar they hand him. You have to hear these things in person, as any equipment on YouTube may not sound true to what it is.
Sound sucks. Effects may be great, but the amps still sound fake. I play a Zoom G9.2tt because of this. I looked into the GT-10 before this came out, but it looks like I made a good choice, seeing how nothing changed. I wish I could say I liked it, but I don't.
I.can.not.believe that they STILL didnt include a computer editing interface with this thing. Dual screens - hooray, but they just don't get how badly Line 6 is kicking their asses in this department and what a huge convenience it is to edit on the PC. I keep my GT-10 on a TV tray most of the time because I am constantly tweaking my tones and my knees can't take the up down up down. Boss, what is WRONG with you people????? Give us a computer interface!!!! It's not too late.
I am beginning to wonder if the people marketing this thing have a clue what amp modeling is. They obviously read reviews where people complained about it and then told Rob to say that the new one was better. This thing probably kicks ass but they can't figure out how to demo it. For starters, start with a clean tone with amp sim and add effect to it. Don't just start shredding using only one preset. I want to hear some of these new amp sims.
Pretty useless video...
