This unit does require a minimum of 12 GPM and 2200 PSI to operate properly. Different size skid steers or excavators along with different wood species require different approaches. @camester1 - dude those logs were cut to splitting length with a chainsaw. my bet is that you have never spent an entire day using an axe or a chainsaw... no wait you have a chainsaw that is set up for splitting? most chainsaw blade and bar configurations will not "Rip" logs. Do you know what a crosscut saw is and could you identify a ripsaw in a line up at woodshop or do you just Troll youtube looking to be a smart ass?

If you can split a frozen log that is 10 feel long with wedges and brute force you must be 12 feet tall and rip trees out of the ground with your bare hands. This machine is designed to work for 60 to 70 hours or more per week and split the amount of wood in a day that 1 man could do in a season. Do you honestly thing these loggers are a bunch of pussies?

My frustration stemmed from the fact that a growing majority of people with wood burning stoves, don't find it necessary to do ANY of the work required to stay warm. Either, go pay a shit load of dough to get split firewood delivered, or, use some extremely inefficient contraption to make sure you don't even have to WALK to split. This is the equivalent of the self-spinning-spaghetti-fork, FOR FAT USELESS DOUCHE BAGS ONLY!
wery slow and expensive useless mashine and you dont need apply presure to split the wood the scruve turns itself in this thing works better with higher rpm
Never got one. They had problems getting one to me in a timely manner. This looks like it would be good to break larger pieces to a more manageable size. Probably not real efficient on the smaller stuff.
Except for splitting long logs, I think I'd prefer my trusty log splitter, swing, chop, done.
