Suriname's musical caliber was so much more refined and developed back in the day. Nowadays there too many so called "artists" trying to emulate the materialistic and meaningless shit that is coming from the West and doing a horrible job in the process. Its a shame that a country like Suriname with such a strong cultural identity to draw inspiration from is turning into a bunch of wannabe rappers and r&b singers. blech.
