@TheAnandaXX that is called a coupe. and you are right there are a lot of fastbacks around. Fastbacks are the in thing, coupes are being converted to fastbacks.
@buldi333 the hood is a GT500 reproduction part, and it is of poor quality, its fiber glass, I am going to replace it with a steel version, or put a GT500 scoop on the original hood.
@buldi333 full fiber, the scoop total hight is 1 1/2 inches the scoop opening is 7/8 inch. If you are thinking of buying a GT500 hood buy the Dynocorn hood, its a lot better.
the engine is original to the car, I did the engine assembly myself. the cost was less then $3000, all told, including the T-5 Five speed conversion and the Magnaflow 2.5" stainless steel exhaust, intake, carburetor, MSD ignition, and the rest of the parts. I am hoping to get 30MPG or better and still have better then factory performance.
keep at it, I have been working on mine for five years, the only things I have not done my self is rebuilding the T5, and spraying the paint. this has been a budget build, you do not need lots of money to restore a car, just lots of know how and a steady job.
dude your car is sweet i wish mine was done hopefully next year itll be done im not rich but im trying hard to get it done i have an entirely new rear end on it gottta get the frame rails changed first in the rear there a bit rough but sweet car i got shebly cobra try y headers coming for mine ;p
wow, the only thing that is missing from the grill is the running horse, and the trim around the outside of the grill, the fenders are original, the quarter panels had to be replaced, I hate the fake grills, so they where shaved off. this car was built early in the model year, like Dec. of '66.
before you wrote that comment you should have looked at the grill, the fenders and the quarter panels, you would have seen the lack of marker lights and the grill trim that makes a '68 a '68. don't fret, I yelled at a guy at a car show for calling a Ford a Chevy.
What style is this called ? There seems to be soooooooo many fast backs around. This style is by far the best in my opinion

That's a 68 mustang. The 67's have two scoops on the rear quarters.
