Where did you get your mask? I bought one from Dress Circle (also being sold at Her Majesty's Theatre- not sure if it's the same at the Majestic or the Las Vegas thingmabob) and that has a rope around it...

Hello i will pay for you to come to england and i will pay you £1,000 or $1.500 for you to do my make up i will pay anything even all the money i have please reply your amazing u truely are i have a mask and costume ur please reply to my profile x
I actually think you are beautiful, because I find Erik attractive in a strange sort of way! Why couldn't they have a woman playing Erik, I think that would be cool?
I dressed up as Erik once for Hallowe'en and a friend put grease paint (I'm not sure if that's the right word, English isn't my first language) in my face and made me look scarred with my eye sunken in. But I didn't wear a mask, because I have glasses... :(
According to the 2004 movie he had a completely different and relatively tame disfigurement, which I personally found very disappointing. As you can clearly see, this design was inspired by the stage musical, not by any of the movies. So coming on here and declaring it to be "fake" is both childish and a waste of my time. The techniques in this video can be applied to create a number of different designs, including your preferred "bloody" look.
I completely agree i was really disappointed with the movie's disfigurement!
I've also noticed the phantom stage makeup that mr mcgillin wears is a bit more "bruised" like a purpleish with some red mixed in. Not quite bloody but almost a mix between birth defect and lawn mower accident.
@PhantomOnABudget very wise words, everyone has a different idea of what phantom looks like, in the original legends, half of his face was like a corpse...it just depends on what legend or show you watch...
Yeah this is the makeup from the broadway show (the better one). The one you are thinking of is from the movie whee his face is burned and red. In the movie it is literally a horrible bone and skin disfiguration.
This girl did the best stage makeup i have ever seen.
But if you would like a more "tame" version. Go burn your fucking face off.
oh. I just formed one to my face but I broke it but ill make a better one I used hard plastic. not rubber. its easy though, you can buy it at smooth on com
I am so going as the phantom for halloween this year... I have to try on the tux top i got from a friend... I am an Erik loving girl! I think The POTO is going to have a ponytail, cause im not cuting my hair.ONE LAST THING:)- They have plastic maskes in michels/a.c.moore that look like they can easily be tranformed in to phantom masks, if they don't already have that shape! THANK YOU !!!!
Thank you! The mask came from someone in Germany who makes replicas of some of the Hamburg and Stuttgart molds. His ebay name is "maskwearer," and you can message him there if interested. Great to deal with.
Awesome! I'm a guy and im really into this kind of thing... my local theater had tours a few months ago and we dressed in costume... so i decided to go as the phantom... i couldn't figure out all the seemingly complex makeup things so i used masking tape and eyeliner for my deformity... next time around though i will def. be using your method! One question.. did u just put something like spirit gum over your eyebrow and then simply covered it with latex? Also how long does it take it to dry?
While I use Kryolan eyebrow plastic, spirit gum definitely works well as an eyebrow cover. Just apply to the eyebrow and smooth back, then allow to dry before applying latex over it. As far as the latex drying - length of time will depend on how thickly you apply it. Thin layers need only a minute or so to dry, while thicker cotton/latex will need much more time (figure around 15 minutes or more as a baseline). I'm glad you found the tutorial useful! :)
Thank you for providing the tutorial, Lindsey. I have seen a couple of your "Phantom On A Budget" clips {not in person, alas}, and your group is pretty great. Plus, I'm glad I'm not the only one person that tends to cross-dress. :D Take care. Teena/theblondephantom.

on your newier videos of your newer mask. the nose is too big and wide/ why?

The mask was not originally designed for my face, thus the reason why some parts don't fit.
