  • This guys songs are truly amazing

  • this sounds extremley like runaround sue...

  • maaaaaan i feel so stressed out that i wasn't alive in these times :(

  • Dog Days Are Over by Florence & The Machine sounds a little bit like this song. There's something about it that's very similar...not all of it...but some of it! :)

  • @sweetiedoubledeedee ...this is the 50's age -_- nowhere near the era we are in now. No comparisons whatsoever

  • This song saved my life. Thank you, Dion.

  • Love this song!!! <3

  • damn i was so sure black people were singing this song until i looked it up..

any possibility these guys lip sang it?

  • @tripper85 No chance!

  • if you want the best User with so many oldies like this ----> jrocuts has so many good oldies

  • What a brilliant play list you have created Markdale, many thanks for taking the time out to make it, I've just spent a lovely, relaxing hour in the bath listening to it.

    Fantastic!!!

  • BTW, Dimucci all day!

  • Its a shame that all the kids today have to listen to is noise....they have no idea what good music like this, used to be like, since all they have heard all of their lives is the crap of today's stuff......I really cant refer to it as music...

  • @Labaron26

I know good music like this. O=

  • @Labaron26 pretty blanket statment, just because there is crap like kesha making huge amounts of 12 year olds buy their album doesnt mean thats true for all young people these days. as well as that its a bit harsh saying that the music of today is crap.. quite a good amount of people around atm, are just as good as the belmonts were, and have just as much artistic merrit. music evolves. evolve with it

  • @Labaron26 music evolves man, thats how life works, im 17, and yes the mainstream then is better now, however, 20 years from now, regardless im gonnna have emotional ties to the songs i grew up with, noise/crap/ what have you.

  • @Labaron26 better then now*

  • needs more cowbell

  • 2 girls that took love and never came back disliked this

  • What a great song!! Can't believe it has 2 dislikes??? Who could dislike this song??? Thanks for posting this...

  • DION WAS WAY AHEAD OF HIS TIME!

  • I was a teenager when this was first released , they were great times and will never be bettered. Long live rock n roll .

  • The 45 just had " DION ' on it ...I think ...Laurie Record label .....had little red and blue boxes on it .....

  • i was 9 the first time i heard this , i was in the bar with my old man while was shooting pool and in the process i watched a guy get stabbed over a gambleing debt , bad situation bu the song brings back crazy memories GOD I LOVE OLDIES

  • Hmmm, I had always known them as the Belmonts...I was abotut 9 yrs old when they came out, but I didn't know that they were the "del satins"???

  • that song really sounds like "Runaround Sue" and it's as excellent as the other song !!!!

  • LOVE THIS ONE!

  • omg i love this song!

  • I, Just wanna, ROCK!!!!!

  • runaround sue/the wanderer, mixed together and a change of lyrics

  • Good for you, Markdale: I WAS around then and had forgotten the Belmonts/Del Satins timing. There's a lot to keep track of in this life and not having the Belmont "thing" straight is not like not knowing GeoW was our first president. Like you said, how about a little manners....the important and GREAT thing is that you did post this!!! Thanks for doing so!!

  • sounds too much like runaround sue.

  • Just heard this song this morning as I was getting ready to start my day. Thought back to when I used to listen to oldies 24/7.

  • Dion Dimuci, his (succesful) solo career (no more Belmonts) lasted from 1960 untill 1964 he made a few solo records like this one and the wanderer and run around sue with the help of anothe vocal group called Del-Satins

  • When I put Dion & The Belmonts on the listing it was because I got the track from a Best Of Dion & The Belmonts CD so since there was no mention of The Del Satins & since I wasn't around when it originally came out I simply would never have known that The Del Satins had anything to do with this. So how about you try to have some manners before you start shouting your mouth off on youtube!!

  • @markdale1 cant it be corrected now that that's been cleared up?

  • changed it now, sorry for the delay

  • Actually Mark the Del Satins did more backup for Dion than the Belmonts ever did. Dion & Belmonts only lasted 1957-60.

Anything after late 1960 was with the Del Satins starting with "LonelyTeenager". Lonely World was w/ Del Satins. For some reason just about every CD made & many LPs all said Dion & Belmonts, they only had a few hits, I Wonder Why, Where Or When & Teenager In Love. But for some the Belmonts got all the credits for most of Dions hits, not your fault so ignore the critics!

  • @markdale1 wow drama everywhere online lmao priceless!!

  • @markdale1 You Tell That Prick Markdale1!

  • @markdale1 I was born 1950 and was old enough to remember Dion & the Belmonts. Del Satins, ii don't remember (ooooh conspirinoid) Name the musicians in Beethoven's 5th, Wagner, Bacj. blah blah ... their musicianship lives on because of their leader.

  • @markdale1 Ibelieve I would rather shout than know nothing about what I am posting, but you are partially right record anthologies looking to make buck know very little apparently about Dion except that for a very short time he had a group called The Belmonts From Runaround Sue on he was (a solo act) and his studio back up group were a group in their own right called The Del Satins who sounded nothing like The Belmonts, (check out Tear Drops Follow Me by The Del Satins, on youtube)

  • you are correct:)..the del-satins

  • this could've been the flip side to Runaround Sue..What do you think, roosevelthighschool?

  • @Freyja1133 I think you may be right.

  • Greatest of all Time Dion....

  • Dion has a great voice

  • Man, Dion is a legend

  • What pipes. wow

  • great song by DION!

  • Dion isnt one of the best singers he is the best singer!

  • holy shit, THAT'S SO FRIGGIN TRUE!

  • This song was released in 1962, Dion already left the Belmonts. The group backing him was the Del Satins.

  • best golden song ever

  • Dion DiMucci....one of the greatest ever, without a doubt!!!!!

  • Oh my God I played this song to death when it came out! Thank you for posting. Man Dion could/can sing!

  • makes you wanna DANCE! ahhhha i love dion (& the belmonts.) my favorite part is around 1:49, when he sings: "look at me now, huh, you'd never know it." the "huh" part gets me for some reason.

  • My goodness! Can Dion sing or what? I don't know of another great voice like that.

  • ill drink 2 dis song!

  • Not the Belmonts here. This came out after "Runaround Sue" -- likely The Del Satins as the backing group.

  • man when i first heard this song i instantly thought RUNAROUND SUE!

    sounds VERY VERY VERY similar.

  • It's kind of a mashup of Runaround Sue and the Wanderer. I think it was a deliberate and successful (it made it to #3) attempt to repeat the success of those singles--sort of like Chubby Checker and "Let's Twist Again."

  • true true

  • exactly what i was thinking

  • the best =]

  • I love this song

  • dions legend ohjeee

  • Dion has been, is, and always will be BOSS.

  • A great track my friend, makes todays so called music, look a load of old..........

  • its still alive and kicking check out the roomates recently backed dion awesome

  • we need to bring back do wop

  • Completely agree

  • @lalana1 amen!!!!!!

  • @lalana1 lets do it! ^_^
