  • Pfft, we all know that D.B. Cooper, is Charles Westmoreland... currently incarcerated in Fox River state penitentiary.

(^ Thats a joke reference, before you hit reply and call me mean names. =P )

  • In my opinion the FBI is side stepping up an embarrassing fact. Their initial believed jump area was wrong. Read David Krajicek's article about this on the trutv site. The jump site was likely near Woodland, Wa. I've made a video based on the known facts. If you would like to see it check out my channel. I believe the plane headed SSW from Woodland and within three minutes was over the Tena Bar where he in fact finally jumped. The money found was accidentally dropped there by Cooper.

  • As for the cold, MacArthur said that the amount of time Cooper was exposed to sub-freezing temperatures, or enduring bitter wind-chills during free-fall, was not a problem. “I’ve jumped in the winter – in Pullman, Washington with snow on the ground,” MacArthur said. “By the time you feel the cold you’re on the ground.

  • another example of how people don't use their brain...yeah burn the money , that's it ! good idea , even though theres some serial numbers still intact. Luckily , there were smarter people present with her to bring her back down to Earth. Cooper sounds like he had a few more brains than momma did

  • is it a felony to find a dead body of a parachutist ? I'm beginning to think you have a screw loose

  • I look at this like many of the old treasure ships that had been lost for centuries....or like the Titanic. All these ships that were finally found....were not anywhere where everyone thought they might be.....they were considerably wrong in their information. They were all based on false facts and false assumptions.....I think this may be the case with cooper

  • These FBI guys are such losers. Why dont they just get over the fact that the guy got away and move on? They have never found him, so they say "he must be dead". Well, if that is the case, then why was a body never found? This is just a case of a smart guy that got over on everybody, got his money and got away. He is sitting back in a rocking chair laughing. I think Cooper is cool as hell, and I wish I could meet him lol

  • @SlimJim1907 why is he laughing ? hey dumbass no money has been found in circulation

  • Comment removed

  • that was really good thank you

  • He said he used an orange belly reserve with DUMMY written on it.

This would mean the FBI knows who he is since they have the finger prints of military vets and DB cooper left a whiskey glass behind. Me thinks the CIA is protecting him because we did not declare war on Laos but they are still stepping on all those land mines the special forces planted along the border. (War crime since no declared war on Laos at the time)

When I met him in 1992, he was an alcoholic and about 6' 1" tall.

  • I know who he was but don't need the hassle. The FBI posted wrong information. It was his right eye that had a sagging skin not his left eye. I gave the copy of a newspaper article he had stashed behind the lining of his wallet and gave me as a gift to an attorney for safe keeping.

He learned to do the back door trick working for air america in viet nam dropping troops over Laos. He was from Vancouver WA. He told several people besides my self but the FBI never investigated.

  • @QuarkToo yeah i call bullshit buddy lol "dont need the hassle" hahahahahaha hey asshole , youre a guaranteed millionaire if you can provide info leading to the solving of the case through tv appearances and book deals . youre full of shit

  • 20 bucks for an air ticket! gotta love the 70s

  • None of the bills were ever found in circulation. Yet some was found in a river. He jumped during a rainstorm in loafers into a forest and mountain zone. I doubt he survived. But it is cool to think he did and spent the money, in the face of all the evidence.

  • No one was hurt. The money came from the Central Bank which is a criminal enterprise. More power to DB Cooper.

  • i just like to think there was a rich old man sat laughing and counting his cash :)

  • @Brotherhood618 what...the useless cash that was never spent , idiot ?

  • Maybe he got rid of some of the money to make people thing he had died in the jump. Then he kept the rest so he could have the money for himself?

  • Very interesting, this mystery isn't from my time, but who doesn't like a good mystery??

  • @angeliccruciphyx only 294 of the 10,000 twenty dollar bills bills have been found...........so there is plenty left to consider

  • INTERESTING_FACTS___cooper had 10,000 twenty dollar bills in packets of 100, the bills weighed 21 pounds, in 1980 some campers found 294 of the bills burried in the ground not far from the surface. The serial numbers were verified. To this day NONE of the money has ever been spent......BUT.....this does not necessarily mean he died. He may have dropped the money on the way down and in the dark couldn't find it.......so, he cut his losses and "ran"

  • @inkey2

Me thinks the money was planted along with the flight path. I doubt a 727 could even make those sharp turns as it passed over the Battleground VOR. Cooper landed in Vancouver Lake and the lake was dredged while he was in prison on unrelated charge. They have his prints and probably know who he is.

  • I doubt he panicked and didn't make it- the guy was as cool as a cucumber while he was hijacking the plane- Marla Cooper said her 2 uncles came in and L.D. was all bloody and bruised, and stated that he had been in a car accident- well, you don't go back to the house if you've been injured in a car accident- you go back to the house bloody and bruised when you need to hide from the authorities- go figure...

  • @teceyS3 roflmao ..so where DO you go when youre injured in a car accident ? dumbass

  • @Smokey0791: lmao- screw you asshole

  • l estimate he said ''uh'' 5008 times during this uh...video..uh..

  • He probably wasn't reported missing because his family disowned them thinking he had too many criminal inclinations. When he hit the ground, he probably ended up like those that jumped from the twin towers: mush. There's nothing left of you once you hit the ground from that level of elevation.

  • I like his voice

  • @Greyfort7 chances of landing in water were slim. yes there were lakes and rivers but he made it, and we know he made it because part of the money was found 20 miles away from the plane's flight path.

  • Cooper was smart enough to demand several parachutes knowing that if he ask for one for himself it would be a dummy. By asking for several there was a possibility that he was going to make one of the crew members jump also.So the feds couldn't take that chance of giving him bad chutes. This nitwit agent is probably the dimwit of the FBI and they didn't know what else to do with him so they made him head of a dead end investigation.

  • @george85v he was smart enough to ask for the four chutes and took the dummy chute with him???

  • This is what criminals love....Aecheolus[sic] the greek playright, said, once, -" How do you reason, rightly when someones right reasoning, reasons wrongly...Good luck, Smuck[s].

  • Where did he left the bomb. Wa it real?

  • i love how the feds always say he didn't make the jump, how can they say this when they still have never found a body????? they hate being outsmarted.

  • @ThePearl2004 yeah he fucked their heads up ..is this dube saying that pink parachute is the actual one d.b used to wrap the money in??if so why was'nt the money still with it ?? how did some of the loot get buried miles from where they speculate he died ..wheres the body ??? and what crapp "he wouldnt have felt the air turbulance " standing on the rear staircase??this guys a total dick he would'nt have been born.in 71 .and why cant the FBI get a decent fucking sound- recordist ???

  • @mugwamp4

What I don't understamd is this: the FBI revealed a few years ago that Cooper selected a "dummy" (inoperable) chute that was supplied to him. So this means he jumped out of the airplane without a working parachute, which would guarantee death.

So he would be dead, correct? So why is this guy not mentioning this?

  • @eminboztepe yeah ,its total bollocks,,,cheers and beers for d.b cooper.

  • @eminboztepe Parachutists jump with two chutes, a main and a backup. He selected a dummy chute for his backup chute, but he did take a functional chute for his main.

  • @Keytarninja

Funny thing is that the FBI announced just last week that they have a promising new lead on who DB Cooper was. And here we were just talking about it.

  • @eminboztepe This isn't completely correct... he demanded four parachutes-- two main chutes and two reserve chutes. When you skydive, you carry one of each of these with you. If the main chute malfunctions or doesn't deploy, you can use the reserve chute as a backup. Yes, one of the reserve chutes was in fact a dummy chute, and Cooper did jump with it, but the chances of the main chute malfunctioning are very slim, so it's likely that he never attempted to deploy the inoperable reserve chute.

  • He outfoxed the feds and got away. So, learn from your mistakes Mr. FBI…

  • no money in circulation but how o n top of that could they be? you can spend US dollars in every corner of the world.Correct me if I'm wrong

  • 2 days after he jumped..people were brought to the area where he landed..they spent a couple of days there..and found no body..no bloody remains..nothing except a few bucks that got awa when he jumped..if he's alive leave him alone..if he has passed on then so be it...case closed

  • Cooper would have most likely been experiences at sky jumping.

  • @angeliccruciphyx His body wasnt found

  • they should make a movie on cooper!!! hate em or love em hes a fuckin badass!!!

  • A clip on tie!? Shit he was a badass!

  • The FBI guy " I think he panicked". Is that what they will say about OBL when they finally give up on him?

  • Carr sounds like he was there with Cooper when he used the ropes from the reserve chute to tie up the bag, even recalls he made a handle!

  • n late 2007 the FBI announced t and made public a significant amount of previously-unreleased evidence.an unusable unit intended for classroom demonstrations. A ripcord was present, but inoperative. Though it had markings identifying it to any experienced skydiver as a dummy,[84] Cooper selected it for his jump, apparently unaware that it was not functional. (He cannibalized the other, functional reserve parachute, probably using its shrouds to secure the money bag to his body.

  • McCoy did the same thing just a few months after Cooper's hijacking and survived. If McCoy can do it, Cooper could have as well.

  • Thanks for posting this! I personally think he landed in the river and is still at the bottom of it.

  • Really awesome that agent Carr shows this!! I'm wondering how long it took for Cooper to hatch the plan, the fact the money was discovered, leads me to believe Cooper didn't survive... all of that work.. he would have taken every single bill if possible...

I wonder even more where Cooper had planned on vanishing to with the money,

Fascinating case.... I think animals got to him also. What blows me away is that no-one identified the sketch of him, like he didn't exist!

  • I think Kid Rock said it best in Bawitdaba: "An' for D.B. Cooper an' the money he took. You can look for answers but that ain't fun, now get in the pit and try to love someone."

  • @MrItsmedudes The grits when there ain't enough eggs to cook, DB Cooper and the money he took...I saw Kid last week in Louisiana. Great show!

  • He got away with it.

  • A Google search shows there is nothing more on the parachute which was found and was suspected to have been Dan Cooper's parachute. If it has been confirmed by the FBI to be the parachute Dan Cooper used, or it has been ruled out as that parachute, it has not been reported.

Last news items on the parachute which was found are dated 2008

  • @uranorexic Yeah and since this guy says they have dna from the tie, why not go to the brother to get a dna sample from him and do fraternity test as opposed to a paternity test on maury and this could easily be closed.

  • I would help this guy if i could.

  • @seattlepi I saw a video on youtube of a man that puts a camera on his pet skunk and the skunk wonders around and finds a ton of very old $20 bills in the trunk of a dead tree, and it sounds like its pretty close to the estamated landing zone of Copper

    I hope this was helpful.

  • Oh the name of the video is "DB Cooper more money found (NEW) 2010" the movie was made by theautodetailpro.

I hope this will help you.

  • @panthersandpats1289 dont believe everything you see on you tube ..that guy is probably more pedophile than ransom finder

  • Were I the head of the FBI, after looking at this video I would ring up the Seattle office and ask them to send special agent Larry Carr to my office so that I could inform him that he is fired, and that he should consider setting up shop as a psychic because he obviously seems to be one.

  • if the chute did not open due his panic as stated, then that would explain why the fbi were never able to locate the body or the original chute. a colorful open chute in the forest would stick out like a sore thumb. even if he did land, what are the odds he would have been able to extract the chute from the tangle of branches. he would have been in a hurry to leave the general vicinity and most likely have left the chute as is. the strange thing is that he not once panicked during the hijacking

  • @123attivo he was in a hurry to leave ? Why ? was there policemen in the forest camping out there waiting for him to land in their location ? dumbass use your head

  • If he parachuted before and had really good knowledge of aircraft, as the pilots of the plane have indicated he did, then would he not anticipate the force of the wind?

  • The FBI are idiots. They spend more time harassing innocent people while the robbers and rapists walk right by.

  • that fool got away

  • This is extremely interesting. I was only a 7 month or so baby in November 1971. That's the same year/month John List murdered his family in Westfield, N.J. I remember reading somewhere that List could have been Cooper, but judging from this, List, who was arrested and died in prison, wouldn't have survived the jump!

  • Why not test his DNA with Teddy Mayfield ? The guy that is most likely to be him

  • @andreysky They have Dan Cooper's fingerprints. They can match these fingerprints with any suspect's fingerprints.

In this way they can find out if any of the suspects is indeed Dan Cooper.

  • @writerinindia I don't think there is a lot of intrest in this case, this guy is a legend, why destroy the legend?

  • @andreysky When the FBI reopens a case, we cannot say that there is no interest in the case

  • @andreysky We can do without such legends thank you very much

  • No chute, no body, no briefcase, the bulk of the money has not been found. I would think something would have been found.

  • @navyfrog21 A parachute has been recently found. It will soon become clear why it wasnt found earlier

  • 1:27 to 1:48 ... that statement is full of shit.

Skydivers are taught to reach back and pull that chute if there are any doubts during the jump.

DB Cooper got away and the FBI are to embarrass to admit defeat. Amen.

  • @nipzilla Dan Cooper was alone when he bailed because he had sent the air hostess into the cockpit earlier. A red light went up in the cockpit when Dan Cooper open the door from which he bailed.

So we know the point in the flight's path after which Cooper jumped. But no body was found in any search made immediately after the incident of the approximately known area into which Dan Cooper must have landed.

If Dan Cooper fell to his death then his body should have been on the ground

  • Comment removed

  • sky divers have to wear goggles..did he wear googles?

  • @1955porsche no he never wore goggles which are essential for this kind of jump, this and other mistakes hint that DB knew practically nothing about jumping from an airplane.

  • YOU WILL NEVER FIND DAN COOPER HE IS A LEGEND

  • hes dead

  • @AussiesRock72 If he is dead where is the body?

  • Why do law enforcement always say he died? Are they mad that he got away?

  • @findyourassistant no, they he died because its highly likely he did.

  • @castlekingside28 If no body has been found then it is more likely he didnt die than that he fell to his death and died?

  • Law enforcement always say he died because if they can't hijack a plane and ask for ransom, no one can. They can't believe a normal person can have better skills than the police training.

  • @eugene680 what dreamworld did you come from , pothead ?

  • Who said white man cant jump?

  • @womo1975 win

got a a good laff from this one

  • @womo1975

    That was the perfect comment.

  • @Checker222 Damn your accolade made my day, thank you!

  • ok...what about this angle......cooper's body and the money could have been found by hunters ....eventually. They bury his body, take the cash....and....leave 6 grand to make it look good

  • @inkey2 nope. all the serial numbers were recorded and not a single dollar has ever turned up in circulation.

  • @castlekingside28

    must be in Mexico...

Also,Panama and numerous other countries use dollars instead of pesos, etc.

  • @inkey2 if tey bury'd his body, it must be some wer near d area..

COP's had a through search ovr tat area n al d area near 2 it...

  • @inkey2 Why was the body found by hunters and not by the police?

  • @writerinindia actually they never found his body....but, I am theorizing that if the police found his body they would have had to turn in the money and the body over to the FBI (assuming they were honest cops). Someone not in law enforcement may feel no obligation to be honest. What really is the most telling bit of info is that Cooper never spent "any" of the money. None of the recorded serial numbers have ever surfaced in circulation in all these years

  • @inkey2 Is there any way by which bank notes with recorded serial numbers can be traded in for bank notes with unrecorded serial numbers? Are Swiss banks and banks in Holland eager to do all they can to facilitate this? If yes, then Dan Cooper may have laundered the money through a Swiss Secret Bank Account

  • @writerinindia smoke another one idiot

  • @writerinindia ???? wtf ????

  • @inkey2 The money came to be where it did in 3 ways: 1. Dan Cooper changed clothes at this place and the money, forgotten all about by Dan Cooper in his discarded coat's pocket, got left here inadvertently 2.The money came flowing down with the river and got stranded on the beach 3. It was left there or buried there to be found

  • @writerinindia yeah buried to be found lol roflmao its common to dig in sand and find money regularely . idiot

  • @inkey2 and then what ? change all the serial numbers ? idiot

  • @Smokey0791 what are you talking about????

  • @Smokey0791 what about the serial numbers? and why are you calling me an idiot? What are you talking about? I have no idea what you are even trying to say.....did you answer the wrong posting?

  • @inkey2 your "angle" about the hunters taking the money is what I'm referring to ..

  • @Smokey0791 well just because they took it does not mean they spent it. They may have realized that the money was way too hot to ever spend

  • @inkey2 so what you're saying is it wouldn't be worth the reward money or fame to report finding his body and the money and instead just keep the "hot" cash ? I dont think so....

  • @Smokey0791 it may not be worth it if the person who found it was an ex-con...or someone with a criminal record.....smart enough to realize that this may only work against him. One thing I have found out from working with the public for many, many years.......there is all kinds of oddball reasons why any individual will do "anything"......we can't always look at things from our own point of view. There is infinate reasons why someone else may make any given decision contrary to our own

  • @inkey2 I'm not sure where that logic comes from ..why would it matter if the discoverer has a criminal record or is an ex con ?

  • @Smokey0791 because they would fear having "any" interaction with law enforcement as not wanting to get involved in a major felony....

  • @Smokey0791 in closing....let me give you a glaring example of how we can't use our personal logic to figure out what any given individual might do if they found the money. It is documented that......the family who found the $5,800 of coopers money were making a campfire when their son found the money in the sand....the mother said she was just going to throw it in the campfire as it was probably not worth anything now. This is a prime example of an unthinkable option to most people, yet possible

  • LOL.....I'll bet that D B COOPER tie and tie tack would bring a few bucks on Ebay

  • @inkey2 this is D B Cooper and he wants his tie and clasp back lol

  • He jumped with $200,000 dollars 30+ years ago!! Get a grip on REALITY you FBI clowns.....Go chase a fabricated Terrorist and beat the rest of us up for tax dollars! LONG LIVE DB COOPER!

  • 4 bad shutes....FBI noes that

  • @CLOVERCITYY15 I doubt that! In other words "He straps all the crew and they all jump to their deaths".....He planned it and made it! The FBI JUST SUCKS! Ha!

  • @NoGuyComesClose yea this one dude been workin on the case himself spendedin his own money for yaersssss im sure he noes more htne the cops do....he says he landed in the river and theres no way for him to live....as much as the mystery should live on....the mans dead

  • Knowing that the same FBI that missed 9/11 is still after Mr. Cooper even though they speculate he is dead makes me feel safe in my bed at night.

  • @alpha18412 lol yeah i know, i feel real safe too

  • @alpha18412 Are you living in Jamaica

  • They need to run DNA test on the money, if fell to his death the decomposing bodie should have felt some kind of trace on the money

  • @MrLediogjergjani81 There is NO BODY!! What the Hell Kind of ILLUSION are you living in??

  • maybe get some dna skin cells from that tie as you really pull and grab a tie when

putting on he wouldnt panick this was a successful mission and he left a few grand to make fbi think he was dead.i believe he was caught and broke out of prison and was killed in the infamous fbi shoot out RICHARD FLOYD MCOY JR IS DB COOPER.

  • @jimpurdie Yeah! I would take the bet of Floyd.....But Im going with the fact DB COOPER is still ALIVE! Go DB GO!

  • @NoGuyComesClose if cooper were alive he would be very old well over 85 i think

  • D.B.Cooper is my class mate...he is really clever guy...i know he can trick 10 people at a time....finally ended up tricking whole world :D

  • Dan Cooper is dead, folks, during the first or the second "stunt"! Please, let this case rest in its final resting place!...

We taxpayers have much better things to worry about...

Obama and his political gang of con artists are yanking my cock with healthcare reform; and I don't like it!

    IMPEACH THE LIERS, NOW!!!

  • @grumpypant

Maybe DB Cooper and Obama are the same...

  • Soon after the Cooper incident, a very similiar incident took place ( a year later I believe) with the suspect ended up killed in an FBI gunfight at some home...

If Cooper survived the first jump, then, he would attempt the second heit!

  • no skydiver that plans a jump from a commerical airliner is going to Panic because he flips over in free-fall.. it is a common thing in the beginning of skydiving and you soon learn how to get back to Belly to earth...

  • @Cricket202 , TRue and i also think he had planned this all out in detail, probably took sky jumping classes and what not, hell he even knew about the jumbo jet, telling the pilots to turn the flaps to a certain degree to slow the plane down, so he knew what he was doing.

  • @Cricket202

"People prefer to believe what they prefer to be true".

    -Sir Francis Bacon

That FBI guy's just kidding himself so he can sleep at night.

If DB's dead, then why is he still assigned to the case?

    What a slacker...

  • @jetpoweredgriffin LOL i love how you have used a quote that is referring to the kind of character thats wants DB to be alive, and tagged it to the FBI agent. brilliant.

  • @castlekingside28

    Thanks man,

    I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It really fits both sides of alot of the juvenile foolishness on the 'Net,too.

    "Prove" anything?

    What a ridiculous concept!

How can anyone really PROVE ANYTHING!

"A fool argued against his will is of the same opinion still..."

    -Ron Smiley

  • @castlekingside28

    PS

I think this happened before Agent Slacker was born,anyway....

  • i am not a fbi agent like larry here but if the money found on the columbia riverbank in 1980 ..shows a possibility of cooper landing in the columbia river ..if so the current of the river and tempature from the water would have been damning to his survival.if the money found was apart from what turnpike256 describes he would have landed 15 miles in direction the plane was headed..if he threw that mone befor he actually jumped.

  • strange no human remains were near the found money.

  • @keeprighton2007 you freefall from a plane and see where ur body lands and what your holding lands

  • @keeprighton2007 Let's hope the wolves and buzzards took care of him!

  • @keeprighton2007 When Mt St Helens erupted, it destroyed any evidence on the ground that could link cooper to his where abouts. The region was covered under thick layers of ash and rock. Any traces are now gone. It would be pointless to go there and try to find anything because your not.

  • dude if i was that kid who found that money i would not give it to plice i would leep it and im in washington state maby ill find d.b. cooper but ill never tell...

  • Richard McCoy Jr.

  • so would i thats wat i said too.

  • I'M DB COOPER, SHHHH...

  • WOW i love this case

  • Ahhhh Shucks !!

  • Comment removed

  • First off I want to know if the FBI had finger printed the airplane that DB Cooper jumped from, especially the seats he was in or used. Also getting matching finger prints from all passengers aboard. With that narrow it down to unknown finger prints. Then check the records from all former or active military personel with jump experience who are from the area or have trained near by.

  • @youngstud925

    ALL fingerprints onboard?

He was thought to probably be Latino-

    ALL Latino military(throughout the Latin/Hispanic nations),too?

What makes you think he lived nearby?

    Ambitious,but not very reasonable.

You're talking THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of prints without computers.

    Nice try,keep trying.

  • @youngstud925 They have Dan Cooper's fingerprints.

  • The money that was found was actually tip money that he tried to offer the stewardess. When they turned down the money he reportedly put it in a pocket, But im sure when you jump out of a plane at 200 mph that money in a pocket would easily fly out. He did have help on the ground, The town nearby where he landed reported a lowflying plane and flashing car lights as if marking a direction dicernable from the air. Dan Cooper just never got greedy it was a thrill run.

  • @Turnpike256 It does seem its the same money he offered the airline employee and which she refused and which he put in his pocket.

The rest of the money was you know in a knapsack furthermore tied securely with cord. Its unlikely anyone finding the knapsack would leave some money behind for no good reason.

But the money couldntt be there because it flew out of the hijackers's pocket during his descent. In that case the money would fly all over the place, not deposit itself in one spot

  • @Turnpike256 Even if the money in his pocket was in bundles and not loose, it does seem unlikely the bundles falling out of his pocket during his descent will all fall in the same place

  • Comment removed

  • @Turnpike256 Yeah, the FBI doesn't seem to want to admit any of the more logical explanations and would rather have us believe nobody could pull off what Cooper did. It makes the FBI look less god-like and all-powerful to be unable to solve this case, despite all of their resources.

Far easier to offer weak theories and hope the think-for-ourself crowd buys into their story like the sheep do...just like so many other instances where the government appeared impotent.
