@FilipUNIBO I'm a huge Adrian Smith fan, please upload his Rock in Rio guitaring if you can :) it'd be interesting to listen to and it'd be good for learning Maiden songs on guitar
As long as you can isolate the middle track you should be fine- what i did was put an audio cable from my dolby 5.1 hi-fi amplifier going from the centre channel to the input of my mini disk.
I'm just really suprised that no mp3s exist all over the internet. This is dynamite for maiden/guitar fans. It's just adrian smith, complete with all the mistakes and seperate guitar parts that you sometimes would really notice.
just wanted to say that i'm a big fan of your maiden uploads.
also, i was wondering if you had any idea where i can find recordings of the isolated track of Adrian Smith's guitar at rock in rio. not sure if you know, but the dolby surround channel of the middle speaker is just adrian's guitar. I recroded it onto mini disk many years ago but can't find it anymore.
I love Iron Maiden and it has been fantastic listening to isolated tracks such as this one. My regard for Nicko McBrain has gone up levels; I used to think that if I was a drummer I would like to be Keith Moon. Now I imagine what it must be like to be Nicko, making these incredible sounds. I would never have been able to appreciate the part that runs from 3:59 - 4:14 or the 'shimmery' cymbal work were it not for this video.
It sounds so much better when the individual tracks are all sloppy. Natural sounds are far superior to all of these triggered drum sets metal bands use today. Not to say drummers like Gene Hoglan are bad (Gene Hoglan is my favorite drummer), but I just prefer a natural sound, and think it subconsciously affects the listener in a positive way. That's why pop is so bad, no natural sounds throughout, creating a stale atmosphere, whereas bands like Iron Maiden really come alive in their music.
Nicko is such a great drummer! You can tell how much better maiden got on Piece of mind because of Nicko! ( Not saying Maiden sucked before he joined, Their drumming just got better! )
I love how almost every single one of these "isolated track" videos gets a comment about what software was used to isolate a single element out of a mix.......it reflects a widespread ignorance about the physics of sound. Trying to isolate a track from a bounced-down, stereo interleaved track like the final, complete tracks of songs you hear on CDs would be like a chef trying to isolate the flour from cookie dough that's already been mixed in with all the other ingredients. Sorry, I'm cranky...
Most drummers only do the rythm and try to make outstanding fills to the song ... but Nicko plays along with the band which is way more harder and valuable.
Oh my...judging for Eddies anatomy I'd might have mistaken him for a woman lol. CUZ HE HAS A PUSSY!!! jk up the irons \m/

My opinion about Maiden's tune:
Best drums => Powerslave
Best guitar riffs => Piece of Mind
Best guirar solos => Somewhere in Time
Best vocals => N° of the Beast
And the bass was always good!
Someone else agree?!?

Awesome!!
But there are some hiccups, aren't there? I guess the final track that is on the album was doctored.

How do you isolate the drums like this? I've heard others doing this too. Special software? Anyway, thanks for posting this!
