That's insane! Round steak is probably the cheapest steak and doesn't have very much marbling so hence the need to tenderize. It is funny how different countries have such differences in cost of goods and cost of living. I guess I don't want to know how much a good ribeye steak costs over there, huh? Yes its very insane, but with a few basic tenderizing techniques + cutting meat across the grain it should be no problem.
I always try to go for firm, cherry red steaks with marbling.
If sales of my soon to come new e-book will be a success maybe i won't have to look so much at the price.
