Boycott the 2010 Canadian Olympics. Each year the Canadian fishing industry kills over a 1/4 million baby Harp Seals for their fur alone. 325,000 in 2007 and 275,000 in 2008. Just "youtube" "Harp Seal Slaughter" right here on Youtube and see exactly what's going on.

Even after being in Canada for 20 years, recent immigrants are more than twice as likely as someone born in Canada to have a low income. Recent immigrants earn only about 60 per cent of what Canadian-born workers are paid.
Immigration is the area that breaks the link from education to earnings. Education attainment of immigrants has been rising, yet a recent male immigrant with a university degree earns 48 per cent of what his Canadian-born counterpart gets.
So what my fore fathers went to war and built this country and immigrants just suck our pension dry and pollute our nations traditions with no remorse
Vancouver's a much cleaner and more beautiful city then Seattle. Plus Vancouver IS bigger then Seattle. Not as populated but its bigger. Also more known.
Hmm.... I doubt it. Seattle is a larger city and a bigger metro area than Van. Home to more Fortune 500/300/100 corporations as well-- Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks, Nordstroms.
Hey ircanary and musicwallower, our beloved province was settled by the BRITISH and The french just can't get over the fact they lost the seven years war. You lost quebec so stop being a whiny bitch for these two hundred years! lol
it is realy interesting that people all around the world including you know more about Canada that Americans.I dont know what they teach them in school?probably just war hate crime&shooting.
We are Canadian&our proud is not war&strong military. We learnt the lesson from history&we dont see any different between race color&language.Every body is wellcome here as long as they respect the law and we dont want them to become Canadian they can be what ever they are&they want just live in peace.
Yes I'm well aware. Maybe I'm just saying it's retarded to have French as an official language. 1st off, it takes up half the side of all cereal packets. 2nd people don't like the french, I don't think Canada is doing much for it's international rep by having this francaphone nonsense as a 2nd Lan
You said it. Rain is not snow. Snow is colder than rain. Rain is warmer than snow, therefore it is warmer, and infinitely more beautiful than a lot of places (most cities of similar size).
Have you been there? Where do you currently live? I went to school in neighboring Burnaby, and loved living in the area. I loved what the rain did for the area. Rain is not the bad thing people make it out to be. Vancouver is an amazing city, I know of no other city like it. I will be going to San Francisco in a few weeks, and will be interested to see how it compares.
This is sooooo beautiful! It's cool that the video is in french and english because Canada in bilingual even though there isn't much french in Vancouver compared to other languages.
I'm from England. I'd love to go to Vancouver but don't have the money, so I'm going to Paris instead, but one day... Love the music btw, great promo too.
I don't think it's the music, I think it's the name. You could probably get the angels from heaven to sing vancouver and it would still sound like Vancoooverrr
I moved to Vancouver 2 years ago, from a small town in Central Alberta. I love it here. Just the scenery is worth the move, let be the fact that there is ten million times more things to do here. Yeah, it's expensive to buy a house... but the rental market is pretty much on par. I always thought all of vancouver was going to be scary, dirty and full of gangs... but that's more downtown and the lower east side. There's a place like that in every big city.
I was just about to start my own comment when i saw your "ugh!" to music. I totaly agree. What is up with the music please tell me this isn't a promo video they play in other countries. I like how the video highlights the great parts of the city but the music really needs work!
I use to live in Vancouver and now I live in Toronto. Both cities have pros and cons. I like the laid back feel of Vancity and the vibrant city life of Toronto. I would like to make my money here in T.O and retire back home in Vancouver.
Try living here... it sucks. It's dirty, smelly, has an extremely large problem with homeless people and gangs. It is also very expensive to live here. Do yourself a favour and go to toronto!!!
I went ther 2 years ago the people are amazing, the streets a so clean and tidy, unlike most parts of England you can walk anywhere at anytime and don`t have to deal with stupid idiots
Hey, care to explain what you mean by Burnaby or West Vancouver? Does this mean it's a bad area or a good area?? I'm just confused, please let me know... Thanks.
Burnaby is actually a city adjacent to 'Vancouver.' Greater Vancouver is like a series of little cities al next to each other. 'Vancouver' itself consists of the West End, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and other 'neighbourhoods.' Burnaby, Ladner, Surrey, Delta, Abbottsford, Coquitlam, Poty Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westinster, are al part of Greater Vancouver and are more affordable to live in for the most part. Most run along the Fraser River & are ashort drive 'into' Vancouver proper.
Thanks Maggie. I'm looking forward to visiting your city (I assume you live there, lucky you!), and eventually moving there. I'm in Saskatoon right now, which is considered a city, but feels more like a town (nice and relaxed, but kinda boring), although the skies in SK are amazing!! The sunsets here are the most beautiful I've ever seen! (I've lived in a tropical country and in the States, before I moved to beautiful Canada).
You're very lucky, I was in the city for an hour when I was ten on the way to Van Island to visit relatives and I still remember it, very nice city, can't wait to go back to check it out

"People don't like the French"?!?!
What an idiotic thing to say. You will find most people in the world have a much higher opinion of French people than of North Americans.
I have travelled to or lived in over forty countries, and French people are the friendliest people I have met anywhere in the world.
