@WaviiDre Every RPG back then took place in the time of dragons and knights....that still pretty much stands true today. Besides Mother, I can't really think of an rpg that takes place in modern times. That's what he meant by realistic, not in terms of graphics but of the overall layout.

@bobaneko, Giygas doesn't turn into a baby. The fetus image is considered to be a coincidence. Even if isn't, there is no text in the game that says that Giygas in the past is a baby. There is text, however, that says that Giygas is attacking Earth from his base in the past.

What OrbitSoft is essentially saying is that better sentence structure and less run-ons would help you get your point across better. As for your point, the Giygas that Ness and his friends fight in Mother 2 exists in the past, but that's because he traveled TO the past FROM the present. This is still the same Giygas who fought Ninten and was driven off the planet by his singing.

@bobaneko, you don't kill Giygas as a baby in EarthBound. It's regular-aged Giygas, but he traveled back to the past because it was safest way to attack Earth in 199x from a close proximity. The Giygas you fight in EarthBound is what happened to him after Mother/Eb0.

Actually, given that in Mother 1 that videogames exist (a kid mentions Dragon Warrior and Super Mario Bros. 3 in class) it must take place between 1989 and 1990.

Ness's story did kinda continue in MOTHER 3 due to Pokey's involvement...
