you got something there but still has alot of room for getting better try maybe practice with a metronome i know we all hate them but you can be the most badass technical guitarist in the world and you still wont have anything on a kid that can play blink 182 in time metal needs to be so tight to sound good. im an acoustic player but i love metal and the main thing ive learnt bout metal is 70% of metal is the timing and 30% technique but im not even getting into song writting now

Try listening to bands like Tesseract, Bulb, Circle Of Contempt and After The Burial to get a feel for "Djenty" polyrythm and irregular breakdown patterns. Also listen to Veil Of Maya's new album [id]. Helped me out a whole lot!

you know, especially the bands in tech metal like VoM and the faceless, the guitarrists are far from gods, and its not hard to reach a technique of a level like theirs, and you just need to develop a style, which is the hard part. remember their only human too though, so dont be such a pessimist
