Superfisto is on to it. I use a weighted vest for my chin ups. They are great to start on to develop back strength. Also assisted chin machines at gym can help when trying to break past a point when training, as one-armed chin ups use slightly different muscles to two hand chin ups as your body has a different "center" when doing them. Hope that helps
You make the one armed pull look so smooth, as if there is little to none resistance when overcoming the "elbow lock" - you know what I mean. As for tendonitis, apply ice.

My elbows had been giving me a lot of grief while doing pull ups. I got some Joe Meeko Power-Grips and had no pain at all doing pull ups
