Falwell was a phoney. I honestly believe he was involved in his "ministry" for purely financial reasons and that he didn`t really believe in the bible. Think of how much money from tuition fees you could make every year from over 10,000 students from upscale backgrounds. I also think most if not all of the students shown in this clip willl "backslide" into a secular lifestyle after their time at LU is done. The 21st century will be remembered as the century when religion died out on Earth.
@gliese67 I graduated back in 1988. Alot has changed since then but regardless it a special place. You can believe what you want. I got to go to his house for a cookout, swim in his pool, regardless of what you think or many others he was a special person that did a tremedous service to so many. As an Alumni, I've become a very successful business person. My education at LU layed the ground work for my life. I'm not perfect but I'm most certainly forgiven.
I will never forget the day Jerry passed away. I was staff at LU at the time and was one of the first to hear the news. Everyone gathering in Thomas Road and the tears and heavy hearts. It is amazing to see that even to this day he is changing lives and his dream of LU continuing to come true.
Wonderful video...Im actually almost finish with my bachelors with Excelsior College, than I will transfer to LIberty University (Online) and I would have to show up to the campus for One week , three times though. Campus looks amazing ;)
Hey everyone, check out "His Prints are in the Sand" by LU Alumn Chris Chance at chanceman4 for a great new song...favorite it and pass it on if you like!!!
I loved it. After seeing all of your videos, I can't wait to go to Liberty! I have only one more left and then I will be a freshman there!! I'm so excited!
This video has changed my life. I almost cried. I know that you all are privalleged to be the final class to know Dr. Jerry Falwell, something that I will never get to do. I know that you all are going to make a difference in this world. I will come into Liberty this fall thankful that God has sent Dr. Jerry Falwell to establish this institution. It is my duty to go in ready for God to mold me and shape me in His image and graduate in 2013 as a Champion for Christ.
