Well actually in the books it does point out that Lestat is able to love everyone (Hence the term *Bisexual*) and Louis has had a few male lovers as well as female.

Though i believe that for vampires. You can love anyone; despite gender.

anyhow, why is it that most people of a certain orientation superimpose this overt sexuality between the two. they are vampires not lovers. the sensuality of blood and murder born of their bloodlust and rapacious nature is what is suggested although,a mild innuendo does exist. they would no more than lay together as would cats. lastly, louis hated lestat and before his bout of despair had a wife and child, and was a whore mongre.

Secondly, in the books after Interview, Louis admits to loving Lestat.

Thirdly, in Merrick, one of the final books, they have a blood exchange that is very suggestive (though is not seen by readers, since the point of view is through another character's -- David.)
