@malevolentmistake no I never fixed but there 2 ram slots maybe I could order 2 Gb of ram single chip put it into the working one..

depends. Some do, Some don't. Check your manual, or just open up the panel and find out (the more fun and educational option) :D

Yeah, it depends. My laptop (Compaq Presario F700) has 1 compartment with 2 slots of RAM in it.

@SXR1337 ive got a vaio laptop with an intel core i3 2,13ghz cpu. is the core i5 3,10ghz better? and can i install it on my laptop? are there other things I've got to keep in mind when installing a new cpu, such as the fan? I was also thinking about cleaning my pc for dust and putting on new thermal paste, wdyt? when changing the ram, do I have to make sure that it will work with the cpu? I will get somebody to do it all for me, obviously, i'm not good at this:P
