The first peice I would replace on a WRX would be the downpipe, and if you have a 02-03 the uppipe as well.

I just had a Cobb downpipe installed on my 2006 WRX. Goes hard from 2500rpm and up! Best starting mod!

the first thing I would do to a Subaru STi or WRX would be to change out the down pipe. the down pipe on Subaru's are extremely restrictive.

really the first thing that should be done is remove the cat. converter in the header/ turbo manifold. Reason being when you up the boost it tends to suck pieces of that cat into the turbo destroying it entirely! hope this helps someone. peace
