I really didn't care that they didn't sing. I came in from work when I was in college, and my dad told me about it when the story broke. I was like, "Ok, so what's your point?" It was good music, but someone had to go expose it and ruin it for everyone.

In retrospect what they did didnt seem that bad. Alot of music these days is manufactured and sold as a product. Thats exactly what they were doing.

Yeah but that was generally known, listed in the credits, and only partially hidden. Milli Vanilli was a colossal fraud.
Personally I still like the music. But it bothers me that some good singers were behind those songs which were discarded for not having the look. If someone wants to give me something artificial, that's fine -- just let me know about it in advance.

What happened to Milli Vanilli was a shame. A shame because they were doing what most pop acts do these days, utilizing a sound and some sort of image to put them over the top. The backlash was ridiculous, leading Arista to give these aforementioned refunds out and even recall all CDs by the 'artists'. The Milli Vanilli incident is not only a sad comment on the record industry, but also the buying public, most of which would kick someone when they're down.

It was necessary to be also caught at the house discs of them, to the producers and the garmmys awards which knew all that they did not sing!!!
