it wasnt tear gas, it was fire extinguishers they sprayed into the air just to clear people away from the cars so they could tow them. a cop came up to me and said that "now was a good time to leave" because they were going to be tear gassing everyone in 10 minutes. an hour later the cops were still standing at the end of the road scratching their heads over what to do.

one block over they stopped a septa bus for over a halfhour and people climbed on it and were dancing and stomping, they pushed poles over into the street. etc etc. there were people on every major corner in the downtown area!
