WAS AT THE SECOND NIGHT AT VET ! PHILA ! THEN DECEMBER -AT _ALANTIC CITY'S CONVETION HALL ! WAS TERE ! JOHN LEE PASSSED OUT- ON STAGE ! DID NOT EVEN DO ONE SONG -KEITH GET BEHIND HIM. SAY INTO MIKE (YOU CAN-NEVER-TELL-?? WHAT HAPPEN'S BACK-STAGE>)
For all those of you who think that Mick's short hair during this period in history makes him look like actress Jamie Lee Curtis, let's flashback 16 years before to a photo of him with Atlantic Records President Ahmet Ertegun (1923-2006), where Jagger seems to look somewhat like Natasha Gregson Wagner.
aaah,bil making faces here...he said what he really meant 2-4 years later.I quote"I hate the Stones music,so why should i play it?".That was when asked why he leave the band
Charlie was still coming off heroin. Keith is very thick headed and judgemental and loved Bills (and Brians) playing but probably despised his womanizing. "dirty old man". He's also sounds like a jelous hypocryt when it comes to Brian. Wasnt like that at all in the early 70s. That's just a sad development of Keith's huge ego. Bill is missed.
Bill was pissed off because he didn't get credit on "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and the Stones didn't allow the other band member to contribute more. Keith was also very angry that Bill did solo albums. That's pitty, because Bill and Keith are my 2 favourite Stones.
@thebeachboys Bill was irritated by a lot of things when he was in The Rolling Stones, (bullied by Mick and Keith in the early days, Keith's heroin addiction which affected the band many times, not giving a song credit for JJJ, money problems, Mick and Keith's feud in the 80's) but in general I think he loved the band. Otherwise he was not a Stone for 30 years.
Yeah, could be a reason as well but what you mean with all? Keith and Woody played alot bass on the Stones albums but Bill still played like 70 % of it.

i thought keith played lead.

He does in a sense, it more or less depends on how you'd define "lead"

I'd like to hear Keith's impression of Bill today. Personally I think he's the biggest douche bag in rock n' roll!

Maybe the word "despised" should be changed for "envied"?

@thebeachboys That's not true. Keith likes the solo albums of Wyman and he was making solo albums too in that time.,
sanderveendam 1 year ago
@sanderveendam Were did you read that? I know that Keith liked Je suis un rock star (Bill's hitsingle from 1981), he thought that was a 'funny song'.
robin14669 11 months ago 2
@thebeachboys I second the previous replies. Bill himself has stated that it was actually Jagger who was angry regarding Bill's solo records.
prolinea4 10 months ago
I think is more the fact that Keef plays all of Bill's parts on any of the studio stuff.

@kevinjim33 I agree. I caught 89, 94, 98, and 02. I missed the last one as my wallet was a bit thin.
