  • I so remember this from Marked For Death. I think I'm gonna go watch it on VHS, don't tell no one. :)

  • gives me the chills man.

  • Ginger Baker didn't actually play on this album, he came for "Sunrise On The Sufferbus". Pretty sure it was Googe playing here. Wicked band tho. The new album (Pine Cross Dover) is pretty damn sweet too.

  • Is dat sum Steven Seagul?

  • This song IS Rock & Roll. Fucking kicks ass & just drives & drives.

  • to the 7 people that didn't like this....this song kicks so much ass, it's gonna track you down, come to your house and whip your asses....Masters of Reality... incredible band

  • @easyryder1969

Actually I think those seven votes were from people who were just rocking out to this song so hard that they accidentally banged their mouse against the thumbs down icon in a glorious fit of rocking. There's really no other explanation. Chris Goss would understand.

  • well if segal can jam, paste my toast padres.

  • Graspop metaling meeting belgium =D seeing them to

  • Had to buy this album TWICE, burned it out the first time. Memories of yesteryear. TRULY AWESOME SOUNDS.

  • This is when rock died (not really) Chili Peppers, Metallica, Cobain - they all fkd it up - rock (real rock; GNR) was dead at the moment Masters released this album - rock really didn't die - it just lost this magificanr sound produced by Rick Rubin - it's all good, grunge though fucked things up - it fucked things up - we're still paying for it

  • Only thing is i dont like Steven Segal :/......arhh well....

  • Nothing like mixing images from a Masters of Reality show and a Steven Stegal film!

  • I discovered this band accidentally when I wanted to download Master of Reality by black sabbath. But it's cool.

  • niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • 5 feb 2011 Amsterdam. I'll be there!!

  • CACKLE! I JUST finished writing my post... and Jim played the song!

  • On the off chance that those who said the Masters are underplayed happen by again, you can hear this song on KLOS 95.5. from L.A. during Jim Ladd's sets occasionally. Last home of Freeform Radio, he knows the awesome stuff when he hears it! They do stream on the web if you're not local to pick up the station. (Ladd is on sun. night to thurs. night, from 10pm pst.)

  • The bassist is superb. One ear on the drums, the other with the rhythm guitar. You get it best during the lead solo. An absolute clinic. Thank you.

  • The bassist is superb. One ear on the drums, the other with the rhythm guitar.

  • wow my buddy showed me this song today at my friends house and it sounded pretty cool but without everyone fuckin talking I now know the true awesomeness of this song

  • So underrated is true. Why they never get airplay is beyond me.

  • Underrated and underplayed!!

  • i've listened to that record for so many times when it came out back in 80ties, i still know every tone, beat and riff on it. awesome album!

  • Sunrise on the Sufferbus one of the most underrated albums ever.

  • @daven58100 Agreed man.. A truly underrated band..

  • Remember buyin this album ripe not knowing anything of the band. 80's before grunge, stoner or whatever. Galactic Cowboys commercial.

  • the whore of new orleans

  • thank you Steven Seagal for exposing me to this masterpiece!!!

  • @ trash? of course I have.lol I grew up on it.

  • Needs more smoking.

  • underrated album too - it was more of a cult hit yeah? man it rocked!

  • Love this song. Best band this town ever had.

  • free your mind and your ass will follow ... sunrise rulez !

  • Steven Segal!!!!

  • I liked Sufferbus but it did not touch the first album...esp Domino and Kill the King...

  • ginger baker at 1:02?

  • yeah, he was the drummer on Sunrise oN the Sufferbus album

  • @theeraserofnations The one and only!

  • This IS such a great band, have you guys listened to the Pine / Cross Dover album? you're missing out

  • sunrise on the sufferbus sucks? really? what are you, fucking stupid? both albums are great, just really different. by the way, i saw them live with ginger baker in '92 in boston. they were loud and they were heavy as hell, and they kicked everybody's asses.

  • Jumpin aroud like monkeys and drinking beer, those were great times ! esayly the best top 20 albs of the 80s

  • Hell yeah, it was.

  • this album is savage and the Danse Macabre bootleg album was just ridiculusly awesome but...after that i dont know what the fuck happened their weird original [yet familiar] sound just disapeared completely, i mean Sufferbus apparently [according to critics] was their best album but i honestly dont remember being more disappointed with a bands sudden change in sound than i was with sufferbus...

  • agreed. they went straight from "super" to "suck".

  • jajajaaj that guys makeme laft!! niceone

  • Why is this so FUCKING good i mean realy it just blow my mind

  • Telecaster with humbuckers, flavored with a Les Paul bukked out as well, with Ginger onda skinzz. All that, with air-borne Beemers and assault rifles, a 5th of Jack Daniels--hey--makes MY night. Masters Of Reality: buncha badass mofos.

  • this was such a good band.kicks a groove man! the first solo rocks!

  • the 1st album a true classic.. played over and over and over. all killer tunes. memories of great nights. inspirational :)

  • @TECHNOID69

Absolutely - how these guys escaped main stream success is a mystery!

  • oh my god, ive just listerned to all of there albums and i am truly in love. sooo much love for these guys, also id check out alabama 3 i found them both bands at the same time

does anyone know where i could get some good bass/guitar tabs for any of there songs? im not having much luck.

  • this shit is alright, for real just alright

  • no, you're just out of your mind

  • Finally got to see em last saturday... chris goss is like a god!!!!!

  • i bought this in 89, like the last guy said, the more i listened to it, the more i could hear how good it really was..."baby i'm just lookin to get right"...lol...love that shit

  • i bought this album when it came out, then tried to take it back, they wouldn't give cash back so stuck with it. it became one of my favourite albums of all time....awesome

  • my favorite band and no one knows about them!!!!

  • THEEEE BESSSSSST!!!!!!! :D

  • just blows my fucking mind! these guys kick every musical ass Ive ever heard. Bless em.

  • @Flunder Obviousely you never heard Master of Reality album by Black Sabbath.

  • Masters of Reality are disgracefully underrated. They kick ass.

  • Great & Unknow Band!! Simply awesome!!! domino!!!

  • sick twisted solo. wonderful.

  • Steven Seagal kicks ass. Just like this song.

  • I saw this tour in San Diego at the Belly Up with Ginger baker on drums - sweeeeeet

  • fun song to play on guitar

  • I love this song. it makes me want to throw stuff at the wall and dance. the solo is out there!

  • This band has a long history and this song damn near made them huge, this a great song...I still listen to this cd to this day, you wanna play guitar? let's try "Domino" . Crank It.

  • This came out my sophomore year of high school. Just like the last guy said.. we wore that tape out

    Every song is good.

  • i wore that TAPE<====OUT!

  • One of the best underrated bands of all time ever, still love these guys!

  • this is the real stuff man. shit. what ever happened to bad ass bands and loud guitars with guys that can play like this? If I had to push a car uphill? Id put this on.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:03 was Ginger Baker. Dig his cheek bones.

  • I saw these guys at a free concert given at memphis state back in the day, and ginger baker was drumming with them. Fantastic show

  • I bought this on vinyl when it first came out. I went to buy it on CD on Amazon recently, but was £50 for second hand. Ouch. Thankfully, I can listen to it on You-tube for free!

  • Interesting... the person that posted the clip mentions Ginger Baker, but he didn't play the drums on this song. and the other guitarist (something Ray?? forget his name) in the video didn't play on this song either.

Vinnie Ludivico - drums, Tim Harrington - lead guitar

  • I think it's him there really look at 3:58 looks like Baker

  • Ginger Baker and Daniel Ray (spelling?) are both in the video... however, this is the music track from the album and they didn't play on the song. Tim and Vinnie did.

  • Daniel Rey...Is that the same Daniel Rey that was in Shrapnel with Dave Wyndorf and a Ramones collaborator as of the late '80s ?

  • We need to keep talented bands alive, fuck all the music our generation listens to nowadays, fucking pop shit.

Oh well, let's buy their cd's and keep them alive ;D

  • Fucking rocks.

What happened to bands like this?

WE'RE "shit out of luck today, man!

  • not really...

  • Masters Of Reality are still going

(its just Chris Goss though from the origional line up though)

New album out next year apparently.

scurbydawg77 is closer than he thinks with QOTSA as Chris Goss has produced them!

  • Soulwax have a similar heavy, driven sound and Chris Goss has produced them too.

  • he also produced The Flys album as well... you can definitely hear his production on "Got you where I want you".

  • bands like Queens of the stone age owe their sound to this.

I mean it in a good way I love kyuss and all but the queens went this direction.and mor deserves credit as much as sabbath does for kyuss,ya feel me

  • Chris has the voice of an angel

  • they kick ass

  • what a great band ... both albums. i can`t believe people never heard of this band. vdv kicks ass....

  • Both albums? All SEVEN!!!

  • This rocks!!! Bought the album when it first came out and still stands up almost 20 years later.

  • thanks for the entertainig comments-got my laugh for the day-HHAHAHAHahahaha!!

  • Their original members included bassist Googe, guitarist Tim Harrington, and drummer Vinnie Ludovico. Goss broke up the band shortly after their well-received, self-titled debut album in 1989; he reformed the group as a trio a few years later with Googe and legendary ex-Cream drummer Ginger Baker. This lineup recorded 1993's Sunrise on the Sufferbus, which slightly altered the group's sound but again received enthusiastic reviews.

  • I Got To See Them With Gimger Eighteen Years Ago.Masters Of Reality And Ginger Baker Performing Toad It Doesn't Get Any Better

  • the music is funny

  • what happened to these guys.shit. they rock.

  • come on, be a little open minded, i love kyuss, and qotsa, whats so bad about qotsa? just admit that u old dinosaurs want everything to sound the same

  • go Ginger !!!!!!!

  • I dig this.

  • damn thats so good! something in my mind told me to search these guys.way cool. thanks.Ginger!

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!!!! havnt heard it in years!!!!!!

  • Goss is the definition of cool!

  • LMAO, listen brother.

U2 SUCKS. Your taste in music SUCKS. Era Vulgaris was a terrible record, so was the Lullabies bullshit or whatever it was called. In fact, the only GREAT Queers record was the first one. And yes, everyone knows that "Better Living....." is a Queers song.

Go jam some KYUSS. Josh Homme is a fag now. LIKE YOU.

  • You're right, U2 does suck, fuck those gobshites.

  • Haha, look who is fucking talking, I just looked at you page and it seems that you idolize some shit head named k rino... I need to say no more. Eat shit, and dont say anything else unless you learn about music first. Queens suck? You listen to fucking RINO

  • lol anyways, I looked at your page too, and you have TERRIBLE taste in music. God damn.

  • great conifertreez is still anoying other people...

  • Are you 13 years old? Or does your little brother write your comments?

  • nice... jackass. shuddup grow up turn it up.... QOTSA again. Also, your an ass so go listen to your shitty acid trip music. The reason why you do acid is because your mom didn't love you enough as a child and YOU feel insecure and want to rape your dog but then your so called friends would make fun of you... suck it bitch

  • your macho bullshit is pathetic shut up and grow up then turn it up and enjoy its obvious your an insecure, 32 bar guitar solo in every song, little boy you couldn't hold bono's jock strap you repressed homo

  • Bono is a cunt.... and youre an idiot. Go listen to your boy band shit and rape yourself while your at it, alright man? If all you guys believe that bono is satan, then you must belong to a fucking cult. (which probably is dedicated to gay sex) so go fuck your dog/brother/mom asshole. AND YOUR NAME IS FUCKING LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY, A QOTSA SONG... thought you'd take my side (qotsa did a song named better living through chemistry... great song)

  • U2 wank. simple. why is anyone even talking about them on this page. Who'd be pretentious enough to call their guitarist "the edge". Wankers

    Bono= Cunt

  • I wonder why nobody has posted another kick-ass song by Masters of Reality, but I can't remember the name of it but it something like Candygirl rock or Candystore Rock something like that, does anybody know what I'm talking about...It's on the same album as "Domino".

  • its called the candy song. was on headbangers ball forever. great shit

  • U2 are the Beatles of they're time? Blasphemous.

    U2 is a multi-million dollar corporation, not a band.

Besides all that, dude, THE MUSIC SUCKS.

  • M.O.R. is not a 'normal band in the classic sense of the word.More like a 'floating' group of musicians that, in and around other projects, present the songs of Chris Goss. There's a mysterious feel to MOR that I love. The style changes alot cd to cd, cause the musicians change. Goss,I think, is more of a producer that has this little creative creature on the side that when it speaks, always has something very cool to say.

  • lol My grandma loves steven sigal...

  • eh.... sorry but Nick Oliveri did better w/ QOTSA... still is ok i guess

  • What the fuck are you talking about? Nicky O. was never a member of the Masters.

Anyways, I saw your page. Era Vulgaris SUCKS. Worst thing J.Ho has ever been a part of. LMAO, and you're a fan of U2!!!! LMAO!!!

  • hey asshole... yes he did... just type is masters of reality Nick oliveri on google

... god... arrogant little ass... and era vulgaris was awesome, you just have no taste in music.

  • He & Josh have played a couple of sets with The Masters because they are friends. Chris produced the KYUSS TRILOGY.

And yes, Era Vulgaris is GARBAGE.

  • ok, we came to an equal on nick oliveri but listen to "into the hollow" my personal favorite QOTSA song... there are only selected songs (about 1) that suck on the cd... so don't go hating QOTSA, they re-defined hard rock

  • and what the hell is wrong w/ U2? they're... incredible. If you go around hating a guy who established the DATA organization, and has helped hundreds of people, then you are screwed up... go back into your little hole of self-centered living

  • U2 = The EPITOME of everything that's gone wrong with the music industry.

    Bono = Satan

And besides, they make lame, BORING music.

The only good QOTSA record is Self-Titled.

  • ok, if you don't like U2, (who are like the beatles of their time) then who do you like? let me guess... people like bob dylan, and some messed up R&B artist right?

  • Vulgaris is tight and you are a pussy and oliveri did work with mor you nigglet

  • Vulgaris SUCKS.

And I acknowledged the fact that Nick jams with the Masters, read the print fucka.

  • kool

  • New album soon!

  • My favorite band for the last 13 years. Great to see the vids. Chris! Come to Canada, eh?!!

  • Dude I seen these guys at the Diamond in Toronto in 1988 they were great!!

  • great song, great band! LOVE IT!

  • jesus h. christ on a crooked fuckin crutch, chris! put the past in your pocket for a little while, call vinnie, tim and googe, and come to san antonio!damn i wish i could have seen you guys on the kings x tour. (missed it at trees in dallas, 1990, i think. damn the luck)

  • Good movie

  • hey.. reminds me a lot of the queens of the stoneage sound

  • Well..they were the building blocks for the Queens!!

  • damn the shit out of luck part is edited. I love this song, older rock and metal is way better than new junk.

  • This record was chosen to be the record of the week on a finnish radio station back in...whenever it was released, dont remember. Recorded the few songs they played on the program back then and lost the cassette.Well, the point is that I still remember these songs and still love them.

  • anyoone has the tab of this song?

  • Man, you can't figure that out by ear? Give up now.

  • I've been searchin the record shops for "Blue Garden"

with no luck for the past seventeen years!

I had it on a Def Jam (Rick Rubin Produced) Cassette,

and I lost or misplaced it.Finally getting to see and hear alot of their older stuff lately on the web!

    Thanks for puttin' tis up!

    Peace

  • Blue Garden is the same album by the group that Delicious Vinyl re-released in 1990. The re-release on Delicious Vinyl has a couple extra songs. You can find it digitally on the iTunes Store. Just search on the groups' name.

  • When I first came upon this band, I was a 14-year-old nerd, searching for some new sounds to absorb. I took a chance and bought the newly released s/t cassette by M.O.R. I fell in love! My tastes in music have changed considerably since those days, but I still get goosebumps whenever I hear the opening notes of The Candy Song. Thanks for posting this video, I haven't seen it in 15 years! Oh and, in my opinion, this record was produced the way it should have been. Cheers!

  • Hey, Thanks for searching out this 'under-heard' Gem from Masters Of Reality. Cool to hear they still rock you!

  • I've always wanted to get my hands on the master tapes for this LP and remix the bugger! The drums are too loud and worst of all there's next to no bass. Poor ole Goodge deserves better. The album would REALLY kill with more bass, mark my words...

  • this video is fine, save the fact that the two people who made the hook so insanely awesome (harrington/ludovico) aren't in it. rooked.

  • This rocks!!! Bought the album when it first came out and still stands up almost 20 years later.

  • Seems like some days I can't chew on whipped cream without me waking up some neighbors....

Masters of Reality and King's X should have been the biggest bands ever.

  • saw mor/kings x in dallas at trees in 91 or 92 (my intro to both bands) best show i have ever seen. period

  • Great rock band!!!

  • This album rocked my face the fuck off! Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Just a totally underrated band... hope they tour the US somefrigginday...

  • I wish they would come back to play in Europe soon. They last played in England the day before I first heard their music! About time for a new studio album, too, methinks.

  • These guys ROCK!!! I wish they had some footage to "Kill the King"!

  • Oh, my world...Seagal...
