@waverley66 This was released on their Wooden Head album. An LP released by their label White Whale shortly after the group broke up and without the band's permission. Essentially the album is made up of tracks left in the vaults from throughout their career. I'd forgotten the song until I saw this clip again. (I Have it both on vinyl & CD)
I left So. Calif. in August of 1964 for a hellhole in the deep south. I often wondered what things were like in my town of Pomona c. late 65 / 66 the pre-psychedilic still pop 1960s. How did these long hair bands get along with the greasers? Was it a big deal to see the Turtles or The Byrds at Hollywood High? Anybody out there?
The lead singer and the guy on tamburine became a group called Flo and Eddie(w/others)...They played as a back-up band at a concert I went to in Houston, TX back in the 1970s.
More appropriately "The Flourescent Leach & Eddie. Named by Frank Zappa as they were in the Mothers c 1971. Fillmore east Live lp. Along with Jim Pons on Bass formerly of The Leaves and The Turtles as well though not on this vid.
The writer is Larry Hovis? From Hogun's Heroes?
