Why should this be the balls fault? When roberto carlos or whoever the brazilian guy with the amazing freekick was, shot the ball so that he had an amazing spin, no one complained about the ball. And that was the same situation back then as it is in this example

The problem with this ball is the design doesn't allow it to "grip" the air like it's supposed to. So you put spin on it and it goes the other way. Kicker doesn't have any control over which way it moves. Imagine throwing a fastball in baseball and it knuckles. Same spin different movement.

Chinese national team is becoming stronger and stronger. They played with great patience and defended with selfcontrol, avoiding any injury from happening.(Not like other teams). Actually a very civil game, France committed nearly 2 times fouls than China. China beated South Korea with 3:0 in Feb, beated Germany League's Leverkusen with 3:0 in May, and got a 1:1 with Germany last year and 1:0 with France today.

I watched this match. The ball definitely moved in mysterious ways. Tommy Smyth's remote control joke is right on. It looked like it was going to Lloris' left & he started diving that way when the ball strangely swerved to the right causing him to miss it. You can blame Lloris if you choose to, but he's considered one of the best young keepers in the world right now & doesn't usually make bad mistakes like this.
France can't blame the ball for losing though. They didn't score.
It's just stupid of the French goalkeeper. He already choose a corner before the ball left the wall of french players. It is known that the World Cup ball makes strange curves and it's been warned several times that you definitly should not pick a corner to early. They even said for the defenders will be put to the test because on the height in Africa the ball will reach high velocity and this will be the worldcup of rebounds and long shots
