  • All hail Ganondorf The Great King Of Evil he will allways be in our hearts<3

  • Yeah. Real nice job you did using Johnny Cash's cover, which empitomized all the grief the man had been through out his life, to show how a video game character is more of a "human."

  • I suddenly sympathise with Ganon... How can this be? I'm seeing him in a totally different light... He's just a man... He's not an all-powerful demon, just a wizard who wants something enough to chase after it... Don't we all need that ambition? Wow... This video changed my view on Ganondorf entirely! Thank you so much! I now have another favourite character in the Zelda series! :D

  • @TheJokerThieves QwQ totally agree... i felt SO sorry 4 him in WW..... he is just a man who want have enough power to protect his people and make their life happier... but the triforce of power had controled him and look what he had became... It´s unfair what Link and Zelda do to him.... they don´t want even give him a chance!

(sorry my english is awful XP)

  • My Lord...i'm gonna revenge you on SSBB :'(

  • To me, the story of Ganondorf finished along with Twilight Princess ...

  • that’s pretty good for a first attempt much better than a lot of music vids that are on youtube.

if you haven't already, try experimenting with speeding up or slowing down cinematics to fit the music better.

all in all though good stuff :)

  • Ganondorf ftw ^^

  • Still amazing 2 years later

  • This almost makes me tear up at the end...

... almost. :P But, love the video! Best I've seen for Ganondorf! :D

  • I like the similarities with the original video. Especially the piano!

  • Zelda and Johnny Cash is a good mix

  • ... I've been searching for a video that shows my view of Ganondorf... This is that video... 5 stars

  • Do ever wander why Ganon got fat in WW?

  • ... Well, no TV on the Great Sea... No real way or desire to stay in shape... Hell... He just found out "Oh my goddesses! Food taste good!"

  • I <3 Ganondorf = 3

  • That's funny someone made a music video with my two favorite things in life ever, Johnny Cash and Zelda.

  • Awesome video.

  • nice powerful stuff you got here. 5/5 imo

  • I love to imagine that he was an actual human instead of just some random cliche villain guy who's after the Triforce.

It's a theory that his power corrupted him... hmm.

My rambling aside, very brilliant video! You did a fantastic job. (It's most likely been said before, but the laugh fit in perfectly.)

  • Blank here.

Really terrific stuff you did in this video. The editing is spot on with the music. Johnny Cash and Zelda seem to mix perfectly, I'm surprised.

  • And 4 a sec there. I thout ganon was gonna cry

  • Nice! I loved oot, but never found that 5th bottle :-P

  • This video does a good job of making you feel sympathetic towards Ganondorf, even though he does not deserve the sympathy.

  • True he doesn't... but do any of us. We've all done bad things, he just did worse.

  • I like this video

  • Thanks!

  • I won't be the first one to say it but...the laugh fit so good! You really have talen, I LOVE this video. Thank you for making this vid!

  • Thanks! I really appreciate your comment even if it has been said. XD And your welcome! ;)

  • Thanks! I really appreciate the comment (even if it's been said before). :) And you're welcome. ;)

  • Good song and video.

  • Thanks-a-bundle!

  • best music video of ganondorf on youtube! instant fav :) 5/5

  • Thank you so much! :D I really appreciate it (especially since this was my first video).

  • no worries :), i also think ganondorfs laugh worked well too

  • um yay you know how he is Ganondorf well i call him the grenade guy becuase he lookes like one.

  • Wow a music video using zelda that is actually good? You my friend have skills. You represented Ganon in an amazing manner. It was awesome. Loved the laugh

  • Oh, I've seen some excellent Zelda music videos. :] *coughJimlad800cough*

But anyway, thank you very much! I'm glad you thought the laugh worked well. It was risky to have it in the video, so I've recieved mixed opinions about it, but that's fine by me.

I have plans for more Zelda music videos, but I've been so busy. :( But eventually you'll see them, I'm not giving up! :)

  • geniaaaaal!!!

  • 5/5 for concept

    5/5 for sources

    4/5 for composition

loved the flashing montage around the four minute mark, but the laugh really threw off the vid.

    kudos.

    4/5

  • Thank you!

I s'pose using that crazy laugh was a bit daring, but personally, I thought it was a nice touch. On "What have I become" you see a pitiful man, pushed by his personal torment to the verge of sanity. For me it contributes to the humanity of Ganondorf and evokes feelings of pity.

    But thanks!

Actually, I was a bit dissatisfied with the source quality, but it's not too bad. I'm going to be getting a video capture device soon, so that will help with getting my own good source footage.

  • i love this vid :D it shows that ganon has a human side.

  • OMG this is so great!!it does show the human side of Ganondorf, like it very much 5/5 and Fav:D

  • Thanks! ^>^ I appreciate everyone's comments (even the second ones :P).

  • Just replying again because I love this video.

  • Aw, I love you, Ganon! :(

What a great choice of music for this video; it gives a lot of depth to his character.

    Long live Ganondorf! :D

  • I really liked this vid, it does show the human side of Ganondorf!

Ganondorf is really deeper than people give him credit for. =) Two thumbs up!

  • Yeah, it disappoints me how people just seem to think he is your average story lacking villain.

This is one of John_Pinkerton's youtube accounts :p

  • you use the exact timeline i use! and i really hope he comes back in the next game

  • cooool!

  • Thanks, fella's! I always expect and appreciate one-word responses to my artistic creations into which I pour great time, effort, and detail. :P But, better one good word than zero! ^_^

  • cooool!

  • Let's look at some subtleties.

I took the artistic liberty of looking into Ganondorf's heart and mind. He gets defeated by the wielder of the Sword of Evil's Bane; as the power of the Tri-force leaves him he realizes he is going to die. As demonstrated by the white fading effect, his life flashes before his eyes in the moment before death. He dies; Zelda and Link look on unaware of all this. Perhaps by feeling remorse for his mistakes, and willingness to change he somehow redeemed himself...

  • Now for the end sequence.

Timlines aside, let's suspend our disbelief and say that Ganondorf's life goes through OoT, WW, then TP. Moments from his life start flashing backward from the moment before his death. At "If I could start again" this is interrupted by showing the first real scene with Ganondorf, in which he enters the throne room. Then the reverse-chronological sequence is interrupted again at "a million miles away" where he kneels. Finally, it all comes together in the last flash.
