@SebbyHaughtonF1 well, you got 50% of the pair as Ben is doing BBC for this year along side David Coulthard, I say you need to keep up with news as that came out a few weeks ago now
@freakgamerful totally agree mate. the guy is so annoying on the bbc coverage. he always relates things back to himself. NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR AVERAGE CAREER
JPM had some problems with his attitude I think. He was a great driver and I miss him, but I think he has said goodbyes to F1.
Did neither one of them get a penalty? That's weird, I think, but it actually would have been weird too, if they had had a penalty. Cause that was clearly Coult's fault.
@darthbandon10 there is only 8 cars left in the race by this point.... over half the grid was wiped out in a massive crash on the 1st corner of the race
Here we can see what a great driver can do. We can admire braveness and superlative mastering (being Schumacher a correct opponent this time).
I'd rate Montoya's talent as outstanding, alas I can't say the same of his brain.
Too many mistakes for a professional driver, mostly coming from uncontrolled istinctive behaviours, being frequently himself a victim of his raw charging attitude.
Guys, don't be silly - Schumahcer is the best driver of all times and it doesn't mean he has been never overtaken by anybody- every driver has to be overtaken sometimes and it doesn't make him worse.
a shame Schumacher won 4 times the championship during JPM time in F1. JPM was maybe bigger than life, but he was smaller than F1, just good to warm up Schumacher's tires...
his overtakes were amongst the best in modern F1 racing - this was probably one of his best - what is even more admirable is how he tried his hardest to keep Schumacher behind him, but once the tyres warmed up after the restart it was too easy for Schumacher to pass
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Just one of the many occasion in wich Montoya simply outclassed schumacher,
Unfortunately many times schumacher had Judges -Fia and ferrari Sauber working for him and Montoya got incredible and " bullshit " penalties or dirty games like in Malaysia 2002 or in Indy 2003 or ....Brazil ....or .....Monza ........The dirty joke against Montoya has been simply shameful ,only mainstram people can't see , simply shameful .............Montoya is surely the most talented driver of the last ten years
But he was slower than Kimi in the same car, how can you say that he was the most talented? But we got it ages ago that you like Montoya and you post your old-getting comments in every video that contains Montoya in a F1 car. You even don't argue, you only copy some comments you wrote earlier as an answer, if you do. Get a life and wait till Montoya droves again in a USFail 1. Sure, Montoya is good, but Schumi is still better and there are plenty reasons to count them up.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Ohh not at all Montoya has been very much better than Schumacher but evidently you never heard about the dirty game that has been played against him by Ferrari- Sauber- Fia Judges. If you watch carefully you will find me arguing and taking with so many people but evidently it's impossible to argue with mainstream people Therefore swith off television get a real life and you'll see that there are plenty of reasons to enjoy life outside mainstream and probably your comments 'll deserve answers
well, more or less I got an answer. And ok, I also found you arguing with other people after I searched others. For this I'm sorry for what I written before. No, I never heard about some dirty game by the FIA-judges, probably because there was no game. And I can't switch of the TV because I don't have one atm. But I still say, and that will never change that Schumi was better than Montoya. And Schumi would have beat him, in the same car, fair and square. BTW, where is Montoya racing atm?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well ....I would be really glad to continue this conversation but it would be better ,I don't know ..., if you just have a look to some video ...like for example -Monza 2003 hightlight- and listen Briatore( that day people asked for their money back, or...-Malaysia 2002 start - .
Be clear these are just examples ,if you start to watch carefully i'm sure that you'll understand what about the dirty game and why Montoya prefered Nascar .
The only unfair decision from FIA I only found at Malaysia 2002 with the battle between him and Schumi and Montoya had a drive through penalty, without any reason. Umm... Didn't Montoya won that race or was it RSchumi? And Where are other "Political Power Games"?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well, before you said...there was no game ..., now you are starting to see ,you say ...yes there is one unfair decision ....That's something!! Now, if you really have the will to see ......then you will see. ...there is very much to reserch about the blu Ferrari (Sauber) ,about Barrichello ,and Ferrari Fia Judges ...penalties ..." more than one. " About Malaysia the race has been won by Ralf ...and ..do you know why ?Just because of an absurd penalty ......
Montoya was slower than Kimi in the McLaren?? But how can you say that if the team pointed out for Kimi only leaving Montoya only a 2nd driver postion...it's a usual McLaren policy
What? Howcome JPM was a 2nd driver? He was just worse driver than Kimi. I think that wins 7-3 and points 112-60 are enough said. Montoya never got the full potential out of the car and fucked up a lot of opportunities by his own mistakes. In 2006 he crossed the line and got fired. Iceman crushed him.
@MacGovernor and felipe get kimi haikonnem ass handed too! so he got fired out whats our point ??montoya lost motivation and his best days already gone thats the reason the same happened to kimi now kimi was better than felipe almost sure better than montoya i doubt very much about it
@FRFM00 Of course "Montoya is so fast its bizarre". He was a F1 driver. I'm sure Räikkönen would say something like that (being Finnish) about every talented driver. I think JPM was fast, but he was not as fast as Schumacher or Räikkönen.
Did he say it about Nick?no.David?no. Massa? no. Juan?yes. He was as fast as Schu.Ferrari courted with Montoya but they couldnt agree to anything because of the No1 and No2 driver policy.Rubens was as fast Schu. Schu had an unbelievable package. It was well earned too I will add. Did you see Montoya in Jr categories?CART? Indy 500?Believe me. Ask Frank Williams. The only drivers who still hold Lap records in F1 are Schu Räikkönen Montoya and Rubens. Your opinion in...appreciated.
Juan was as fast as Schumacher some days, yes, but far from always :)
How can you say that Rubens was as fast as Schumacher? We all know he wasn't allowed to actually WIN, but he never showed the raw pace that Schumacher had, anyways.
I have seen Montoya in CART, which at that point just did NOT have the driving talent that F1 had. And I don't think you can compare fuel milage runs like Indy to F1. And the fact those are the people with the lap records is because they had the best cars :)
i love montoya this move was good. never was a massive fan of schumacher. BUT, i was sitting on th exit of turn 2 that day and the way michael drove around the outside of juan to re-take the lead at the same corner was smokin'. couldnt see it happening today
F1 is a politic power game. When Montoya clearly showed to be better than Schumy the game started,It's very easy to win when you have Barrichell working for you (what a shame),when you have the blu Ferrari(Sauber) working for you (what a shame)and when you have Fia-Judges and Media working for you(disgusting). Schumy was good but give those "facility" to any other good driver and I ensure you that he surely 'll be WC. Montoya had all this "against".So.... what a terrific driver
@martinz101 I take it you haven't seen the start to this race before, because I can assure you there weren't 21 cars left in the race by this point haha ;)
@martinz101 wrong, since coulthard went off the track the rest are allowed to keep running in order, So if DC crashed would that mean the race should stop. i don't think so.
