mettewm, first understand how this war started before speaking about 1 country. It should be one country until discrimination and unfair laws were put in place against the tamil people. To the sinhalese this war is not about saving the country, its about eliminating the tamil voice, the tamil land and making it their own. If your logic prevails then india should be divided into 900 pieces, malaysia into 4 and list would go on. Its not upto minority group of a country to decide whether to divide a country or not. If at all, that's a majority sri lankans' decision. If you tamils don't like living harmony with rest of the community then you are free to go back to India, that's where u came. what's the purpose of having a separated land? are all tamils living in colombo going to live in jafna if ltte establish another ltte state in the north? is it really practical or necessarry to divide the country? there are many tamils who doesnt want to divide the country. ltte does not represent tamils. they are just a rebelion terrorist group.
