  • one year ago when I firstly saw your videos , Frankly I thought that you were a looser guy from japan, but now I feel your music and rhythms. I'm glad I can open my eyes and ears.

  • this is crazy good!!!

  • What guitar were you using?

  • Hi! Tomo san!

what scale you played in this video , i mean the jazzy part

if i wanna learn jazz scale , what is the first scale i should learn?

  • お?これはXXX?

  • What Guitar did he use in this video?

  • EFFING INSANE!

  • can u please make a lesson about the second part of your playing as people said " the complex part " it would be very nice .thanks

  • respect bro

  • great lesson !

  • That is some serious playing of the changes...

    To Do: Learn Triads better

  • sweet lesson but how would I go about learning to play like you did in the second chorus?

is it still arpeggios just with complex changes?

    thanks for your helpful videos

  • @flamedfretboard That was just extra for this. Main thing is to be able to control your triads. You're welcome!

    Tomo

  • u are officially the coolest person in the world

  • @Guitar1hero23 Thanks!

    Tomo

  • @TomoFujitaMusic haha no problem man, i hope to study with you at berklee in the future

  • so i see your in the same position on the neck. how does the scale work when it changes chords? thanks

  • not only is he a great teacher, but a great player as well

  • @fender19281 Thank you so much for your kind words.

    Tomo

  • @fender19281 That was soloing mix with triads so you should first be able to play A or D or E triads over 123 set strings. Do not need to think scale. This lesson is about triads over blues changes. Thanks.

    Tomo

  • @fender19281 Thank you.

  • your best video

  • Dowwnload the audio from this tune at tubepull doht cohm.

  • Hi Tomo, you showed the triads for the the E, B, and G strings at the start of the video, but what were you doing over the top 3 strings when you started playing in funk/jazz? Were they scales or arpeggios? Thanks!

  • @timtan87 Mostly triads over blues changes and some chord tone from my imagination chord changes. Tomo

  • All of your lessons and videos are so great! I try and gain as much as I can from you Fujita-san!

  • Thanks for posting this stuff, it is hard to find anyone posting advanced technique lessons. This is really helpfull !!

  • You're welcome! Thank you. Glad to hear..

    Tomo

  • You're welcome. Thank you.

    Tomo

  • Thanks so much man, i've been trying to find a few good licks just outside the main scales. thanks!

  • Thank you very much! You can think about direction of chords. Scales- you can practice so that if you hear something... be able to play... I recommend my students not to practice too much scales.

    Tomo

  • Wow. I love watching these videos. They really help me think outside of the "Boxes." Thanks for taking the time to post Fujita.

  • Boxes are good if you know what they are (intervals) and if you can cook them. Otherwise they are same as frozen pizzas!

    Tomo

  • thanks for being so giving when it comes to the guitar lessons. you're going to accidentally create another guitar legend out of somebody again!

  • Thanks for your kind words. If I can help more people, if people can enjoy guitar playing.... that will make me happy!

Saw John Mayer last night. he was awesome! Nobody can play like him, solo performance on "Who did you think I was" Intro jam on Neon and Neon!

    Tomo

    Tomo

  • Really need a job to get myself a decent guitar...what do you recommend Tomo? Great vid btw ;)

  • he would probably recommend a strat!!

  • No doubt ! lol! Thanks man :)

  • Good guess!

    Tomo

  • Please get a single coils guitar like a strat. all single coils.

Try to find '92, '93 Fender SRV sig guitar.

    Tomo

  • Great question! 3 single coil stratcaster.

    Thanks,

    Tomo

  • Bueno!!!

  • Thanks!

    Tomo

  • my jaws just dropped when i saw this.. amazing

  • Thank you so much!

    Tomo

  • This is so amazing that you can actually hear the chord changes in your lead playing

  • Thank you so much! Because I hear those changes in my head and I don't think about scale shapes etc. Triads!

    Tomo

  • can u please explain trials?

  • このギターは何ですか?

  • Triple Crossというギターです。色もきれい!
