Katsbestfriend12 that was a clarinet and it says absolute sax he also plays miniture alto which is called soprano saxaphone

@waffleproductions101 the one on the far right IS playing a soprano saxophone, which looks like a clarinet. it has the same fingerings as the saxophone and is exactly one octave higher than the tenor saxophone. The saxophone that looks like a miniature alto is called a "curve soprano". Same as the regular soprano, except it is curved and also much less conventional.

@absolutsax nice! how old is that soprano? Such a clean sound! Soprano saxophones are such a difficult instrument to make sound good. The clarinet is such an easier option to go with for most bands but the soprano is so much more unique if you can keep control and make sound good!

I might be a good idea to try bari out and see if you like it any... if you do, then talk to your band director, if not, then no sweat. One of the nice things about low instruments like that is that their parts are almost always covered. Bari almost equals bass trombone almost equals tuba almost equals contra alto clarinet etc etc...

You've probably already made a decision by now, but I'm going to let know my opinion anyways. I switched from alto to bari and my thumb was in major pain! However, I got used to the weight pretty fast, and you hardly even notice the weight when you have on the proper harness. Now I don't like my other instruments, and have fallen absolutely in love with playing the Bari.! ^.^ With more experience it's easier to switch, and others will just have to step it up and become better! :)

oh my god, this is the best sax quartet ever, it has everything. The not so big but forgotten soprano sax (I love it), alto sax (just plain awesome), tenor sax (great sound) and baritone sax! (i love it, great sound, size... just everything about it, even the spit valve). Awesome, keep going.
