@jthunderbolt1233 you realize that the theory of religion changes just as often or more often then that of science, at first we were only 3000 years old, and dinosaurs didn't exist. Then we found fossils, and suddenly the bible was only metaphoric in its meaning of time, now carbon dating has been confirmed, and is no longer a theory, but fact, and religion has found explanations for that as well. So the changing of theories is an invalid reason to decide on religion as the correct "Theory"
@karutasilver I have learnt a lot since I posted this. It's not about the religion it's about the relationship. Religion changes a lot because it is all of man, trying to do things to be saved. Science is all about trying to prove things and it is also all of man. But humans don't and never will know everything. Because of this both science and religion are forever changing, but God is constant and forever the same so the relationship and the results of that relationship are always the same. :)

I accepted christ when i was three, and really got to know him in middle school. but the tensions of school and other things in my life made me more distant from God. Without it, there'd be even more chaos than there is now. This is all besides the point though, This Beautiful Republic aren't all about religion. They're about making meaningful music for the masses.

I love this song! So many Christian songs say God is great, so life is great. But just because we are Christians does NOT mean that we are exempt from life's pain and suffering. Just read the book of Job to learn that one. I'm working on surrendering and it's been a long process, but I'm not giving up. Sometimes we are stubborn and keep on trying to do things that aren't good for us and God just waits for us to realize it and to come back to Him. Yes, learning to fall, but then God catches us. It's giving up what I think I want, for what God has planned.

i think some christians have the illusion that they are the strong ones. that they are doing all the work, but it's rlly god that brings them thru it all. it's rlly our lord and saviour the gives them that strength, it's rlly his strength. only the strongest of christians can truely surrender themselves to god by realizing this.

And He sent his only son to die for us as a perfect sacrifice so that we may be forgiven in those times. Being a christian doesn't mean we're spared from pain. It means we have an amazing God to help us deal with it, and so we may live forever in His kingdom if we accept Him.

some guys and gals are lost like me. i mean god dose not save soilders or marines. i am a officer in the United states Marine Corps i been to iraq 2 times and both times i lost about 20 guys guys that are 18-21 i am 27 been in the marines for 9 years now i spend nights thinking why did i live and they die. but in my view god did not help us once i saw a friend of mine get his leg blown off by a IED but me nothing happened minus a sacr over my eye. so god did not help us if he cares so much.
@riddler1993 God doesn't stop people from dying. I could tell you about The Plan, and how He lets people die for some grand scheme, but that probably wouldn't help much if you're grieving. The big thing to remember is that God doesn't see death as a bad thing, because technically its a promotion. You go to heaven and there are no wars or pain. So its a good thing.And that doesn't mean you stop missing the dead but it's not so sad. And God does save Marines, my dad's was a Marine and he's saved.

its because if there is nothing beyond death, then everyone's ultimate end is the same, and people have no point to do anything if the end is inevitable. life has no purpose without God because without God, the end is death no matter the means. I did something really bad in my last life but God gave me the chance to come back again and prove that I could be a good person and put right what I did wrong. If you go by the traditional religious people I don't think you'd consider me a "religious" person but I have a deep relationship with God. @JCojocaru With a willing heart, with an open heart for Christ, pray for God to come into your heart. Read the word of God. I recommend a King James Bible. Any Bible that isn't "New" such as NIV/NKJV etc. The Bible is the word of God, written by people through the Holy Spirit.

i think some christians have the illusion that they are the strong ones. that they are doing all the work, but it's rlly god that brings them thru it all. it's rlly our lord and saviour the gives them that strength, it's rlly his strength. only the strongest of christians can truely surrender themselves to god by realizing this.

We're human. We make mistakes. We aren't meant to please Him 24/7. That doesn't mean we shouldn't try, but we have to accept that he is a loving God. And He sent his only son to die for us as a perfect sacrifice so that we may be forgiven in those times. Being a christian doesn't mean we're spared from pain. It means we have an amazing God to help us deal with it, and so we may live forever in His kingdom if we accept Him.

being christian doesnt mean we live a solemn life that we dont enjoy things because we're refrained from doing this and that. but God makes us enjoy life in a right way. in a way that we become righteous. the joy sin brings here on earth can NEVER compare to the joy we can attain in heaven!

God dozn't want u 2 trust him only during hard times. u hav 2 trust him w/ ur entire life. Ur friends's death, I kno it's very hard, wasn't b/c He dozn't love u. God saves evry1,He gives EVRY persn on this planet a chance, including u. it's us humans who r not moving to Him; we just wait 4 Him 2 work 4 us when WE need it. But God dozn't submit himself 2 any1 simply b/c He's God. The fact that u're the only survivor is a miracle right there. open up 2 him & try 2 understand what He wants from u.

some guys and gals are lost like me. i mean god dose not save soilders or marines. i am a officer in the United states Marine Corps i been to iraq 2 times and both times i lost about 20 guys guys that are 18-21 i am 27 been in the marines for 9 years now i spend nights thinking why did i live and they die. but in my view god did not help us once i saw a friend of mine get his leg blown off by a IED but me nothing happened minus a sacr over my eye. so god did not help us if he cares so much.

@riddler1993 God doesn't stop people from dying. I could tell you about The Plan, and how He lets people die for some grand scheme, but that probably wouldn't help much if you're grieving. The big thing to remember is that God doesn't see death as a bad thing, because technically its a promotion. You go to heaven and there are no wars or pain. So its a good thing.And that doesn't mean you stop missing the dead but it's not so sad. And God does save Marines, my dad's was a Marine and he's saved.

wow this song really hit home for me I came upon this band by accident cause I typed in One republic but Beautiful Republic showed up God had a reason for me to listen to this song. I have been falling away from Jesus for a while. I just don't know where I belong cause i love God but I feel like I fail him at times. This song made me cry. I know EXACTLY how you feel. But jesus is there by our side no matter how many times we fail him. I thought id run too far but god is clinging on to us even when were not clinging on to him.

its because if there is nothing beyond death, then everyone's ultimate end is the same, and people have no point to do anything if the end is inevitable. life has no purpose without God because without God, the end is death no matter the means. We tell people about God because it hurts our hearts to see souls that don't know the love of Jesus.

@meme4209 I totally agree. Christians don't believe in reincarnation, but I know that I have been reincarnated. I did something really bad in my last life but God gave me the chance to come back again and prove that I could be a good person and put right what I did wrong. My life this time around has been hard but I was given a second chance. I am not a Christian but I can feel 'something' or 'someone' watching over me.

@meme4209 I completely agree. I keep on telling people "it's not a religion, it's a relationship." If you go by the traditional religious people I don't think you'd consider me a "religious" person but I have a deep relationship with God. The church is full of people who NEED to have that reassurance every week, they NEED to be told the same thing over and over and over and they NEED to put money into a plate to feel like they've contributed something. Jesus himself said it's not about that..
