@demisroussosinfo Thank you! Love that song. Frank Mills actually gave me permission to record this...but, I would need a mechanical license to actually earn money from it. That's why no ads. LOL
The dulicimer has a lovely rich tone that some instruments lack, and I love this arrangement of the song. The pacing is crisp and yet unhurried -- all in all, one of the best versions of this song that I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. Thank you for sharing it with us!
I. JUST. LOVE. THIS!!!!!!! My grandma was a wonderful hammered dulcimer player before she got Alzheimers. I still may have her listen to this and see what she does with it. Awesome.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful music with us! It actually brought tears to my eyes; not an easy task since I am a 52 year old truck driver who eats monsters for breakfast.
I've always loved the sound of the hammered dulcimer... one of these years I'll either build one or buy one and learn how to play it. Thanks for posting this!
OMG! You know your playing is absolutely amazing when you bring tears of joy to someone who's listening! This song means so much to me, and other people, who grew up with happy and treasured memories of childhood and early youth at the time this song came out. Those memories all come flooding back to my mind's eye whenever I hear this song. Your dulcimer rendition is absolutely perfect for such precious reminiscences of a time long gone by--I can't thank you (and Frank Mills, of course) enough!
Once again I must say thank you for this video. I have saved it to my favorites so I can listen to it when I need to which is every day by the way. I have been going through a hard time the ;ast 4 months and this video makes me believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me. So, thank you.
Hi Sign, Don't think any more about the video, the performance is excellent, and that's all that matters; you can do a video extravaganza next time ;-)
besides the original my Frank Mills, this has to be the best yet. you did a great rendition of it, it would of been great to see you actualy playing. you did an awesome job.
Absolutely brilliant performance & version.... but the video does ruin it a little, I'd rather just see you playing along with it, or something totally different,; how about something abstract like nice scenery, or even a cat dancing on your instrument :-)
@chillmax I'm really sorry. I agree with you. I wish I could go in and put up a different video. I struggled to know what to put up as the visual for the song...I didn't play it live because I wanted to be true to Frank Mills classic song which, because I don't have an orchestra..can only be achieved in the studio. Thanks for the critique...I actually agree with you.
Love this version. I wish you would post the video with you playing the dulcimer even though the pic are cute. I bought your cd on lulu if you are Tony P...(can't remember). But this is not on the CD. Please record more.
Thanks for your wonderful playing please post more
