  • wait, if the stealing of the back scratcherS is sketchy, does that mean it wasnt in the vhs one? if so, how did they explain his fake handS being cut off?

  • The theifs monologues made this movie in my opinion. loved him as a kid. It's not the same without him!

  • i had this movie on dvd once i got it as a suprise in my cereal box! :D ive loved this movie ever since!!

  • wait im confused, I have this on VHS... What version is that, in it the thief actually talks

  • @Nxflameboy96 The VHS was the edited version that was not approved by Richard Williams. What you're seeing is a reconstruction of how Richard Williams wanted the film to be presented. The Thief does not talk at all in this version, as intended.

  • Wow. The re-cobbled version is one impressive piece of animation!

  • 0:26:30

That was all done by hand?

  • Is Sean Connery in this version?

  • @joethetimelord Yep.

  • @FilmFTW1 Awesome.

  • And where can you get the file itself, I'd like to know?

  • @avickers1992 Well, I found a .iso file on the torrent websites, which I used that file to convert to .m4v using Handbrake. It's 4.36 GBs.

  • Excellent work FilmFTW1!

  • how did you upload a movie1:36:24? amazing! haha

  • @ILUVlupin If a user doesn't have any strikes, Youtube can grant you the privilege to upload anything more than 15 minutes. You would see the blue notice on the Upload page.

  • @FilmFTW1 I thought you said you weren't allowed to upload more than 15 Min anymore?

  • @avickers1992 I said that a month ago BEFORE I'VE GOTTEN 2 COPYRIGHT STRIKES 2 DAYS AGO. There's your difference! ... Sorry, just f*cking pissed that Lucasfilm brought down my videos...

  • I rented the Miramax cut when I was a kid and I quite enjoyed it. That said, this is a much better movie.

  • I know many people will hate me for saying this but I have always loved the Miramax Version. Maybe it is because I grew up with it. At the time I didn't know there were other versions of this movie, so for all I knew I had the best version possible. I enjoy watching this "true" version, but for me it is more like watching an extended/redone version of a film. Not necessarily better... just different. I will love the thief's interior monologue for as long as I live!

  • When I first saw this, I instantly began o compare the movie to Aladdin.

  • Oh my god...that thief is one lucky bastard

  • was that th voice of VINCENT PRICE,TH GUY IN TH ROBE? that would this is, possible from th 60s or 70s,am i rite?

  • By the way, the i goes before the e in 'thief' (sorry about the nitpicking there, lol)
