I heard this song today & it brought back so many great memories, some about an old boyfriend and even some about my mother believe it or not. I wish time didn't seem to fly by us so quickly. Thanks so much for sharing with us this great video.
This song, out of nowhere, jumped into my mind yesterday and all I could remember was the "Hey baby, they're playin our song"! LOL It's been years since I've heard it, I'm sure. LOL
This takes me back to my High School days. Many of my favorites are from the sixties. The Buckinghams always had a tastefully done horn parts. The producer of the group Chicago had his fingers in this pie. There was some involvement, even if it was on the peripheral fringe of interaction. Thanks for posting these songs.
The Buckinghams, The Ides of March, adn Ronnie Rice are going to be in two shows end of May, 29th at the Genesee Theatre and May 30 at the Star Plaza. This great triple bill is called The Chicago Hitmakers. Pleasant memories are coming back to me, indeed. thanks Jubilee
Dennis Tufano is the Original Lead Singer, the one singing on this video, the one who sang on all the original records. For the Buckinghams that tour today, Carl Carl Giammarese is singing the lead. In the orginal band, Carl was the Lead Guitar player and one of the backup singers. Dennis does not tour with today's Buckinghams.
Really nice tribute. Taking nothing from the current Buckinghams lineup, it's kind of strange to watch the "no Dennis" video with his oh-so Buckinghams voice in the barckground!
That band and those songs just bring back so many great memories. I can't figure out why today's music just doesn't do that. That band was just awsome
One of their best! I see them every year in Westbury, Long Island. I understand the lead singer is different...but who cares! They still look and sound great!.
terrific montage. Check out their new CDs, "Reaching Back" and "Standing Room Only"...they are two must-haves for the Bucks collection. Carl Giammarese, Nick Fortuna, Tom Scheckel, Bruce Soboroff, and Bob Abrams are a great act to see in concert!
They could never get Dennis Tufano to come back? I saw the Bucks as part of an "oldies" show about 10-12 years ago and it was Carl doing the singing, though I don't know if Nick also was part of that tour.
Yes, Nick was always part of the reunion tour. Dennis did several concerts 1980-1982 with Carl and Nick, but then left to go back to California. Bucks web site notes Carl and Nick have toured consistently since 1982 with Tom Scheckel, drums, Bob Abrams, guitar/vocals, and Bruce Soboroff, keyboards/vocals. Carl on lead vocals and guitar, Nick on bass guitar and lead vocals on selected songs.
These guys were one of the truely best bands of the '60's. Every song was good. How were they in concert? you compiled great pics of them! Very outstandind vid, luv it!!!!

I met the band in the late 90s after they performed a free concert at the WTC. In addition to the great music, they are great guys.

who was the original drummer? I heard it was Danny Seriphine from the band "Chicago". Sure sounds like him.
johninis 3 years ago
No. This was Jon's group from the start. In fact, no Chicago members were a part of the Buckinghams. The only similarity was their producer Guercio.
