If the tire has good traction then its got good traction its got nothin todo with the size of the tire. I think it has nothing to do with Ford or Chevy in this situation. I think it has to do with weight distribution. The crew cab has better weight distribution if all of things were equal.
This looks like an excellent way to tear up the drive train in two perfectly good trucks.
