Well in doa 3 there was a challenge thing where you gotta kick butts until you die and they always dropped stuff sometimes new clothes..

They made a different spartan, her name is nicole actually, and she's spartan 458, master chief is back in the 110's. They made her specifically for doa4 because they didn't want m.c. in there to distort the story line. don't ask me.

the only thing that really pisses me off in this game is that everytime you go through story mode the characters become even harder to defeat i've beaten the story mode and unlocked every costume for the guys, and Tina..now when I try to unlock all costumes for Kokoro I can't get passed the 5th stage i'm going to have a hard time with Ayane, Kasumi, and Lei Fang. Not only that, but you also have to fight the boss in Time attack? how much more retarded does this game get?

You can get the spartan by first unlocking Helena (you need to beat story mode with all the 16 main characters to do that) thn you must beat story mode with Helena. Then not only do you gain Spartan-458 but also a Hangar area that is similair to the first level of Halo 2.

And to counter: everytime when an opponent strikes there are different ways to do so. He/she can kick or punch on a high, low or middle height. When an opponent punches/kicks you on middle height press on= <- + X. For low height press= down and back + X. And for high attacks press= up and back + X. Train alot to master this and make sure you know your opponents moves, plus focus on the right counter and timing is essential. Good luck:P

No, although Tengu and Spartan 158 are the only ones who do not appear at all in story mode. You can fight Leon or Gen Fu in story mode once you've unlocked them, and you unlock Ein by fighting him at the end of Hitomi's storylines.
